Jamaal exited the school building, his friends following. They immediately took a sharp right and began to walk towards a beaten-up path which had weeds growing through the cracked cobble slabs.
The sound of the dead, crunching leaves that had fallen from the trees around the path could made some noise as they continued walking.
Eventually, the group made their way to a fork, glancing at each other for a moment before going to the right path. As the four continued their way along this path, the sounds of voices gradually getting louder.
"Right, listen here! You need to give us your money. Tomorrow you better bring double that amount. We aren't giving you protection for nothing!" In the distance, a teenager was standing on the path, a couple of people with him.
A meek voice came after the demand, a familiar voice.
"I... I give you this money so you can leave me alone, not for protection, but sure."
His words angered the teen, reaching out and grabbing a black-haired male by his jacket, pulling him closer.
"Shut it, just give me the money or else." He glared at the boy who looked back calmly.
"Or what?" Jamaal walked towards the group ahead of him, raising a brow as he asked the bully his question.
The teen looked at Jamaal and lowered down the male.
"Who are you? Stay away from this, unless you want to be hurt" He spat out, pushing away the boy he had been grabbing and turning to face the arrivals.
Jamaal only smiled, nodding towards the victim of the group.
"Zain, stay away from what's going to happen yeah," He glanced at the other three in his group and continued to walk towards the bullies.
"Sure... Don't cause too many problems." Zain nodded, taking a couple of steps back as he watched what was going to occur.
"Hey! You deaf or something, I said, stay away from what's happening, don't play hero or you're going to get hurt, understand?" The leader of the bullies said arrogantly, walking towards Jamaal.
Once again, he didn't reply, instead just tightening his hand into a fist and looking at the arrogant person.
"That's it." The boy clenched his fist and reached out to punch this deaf annoyance square in the face. But instead of hitting skin and flesh like expected, he just punched the air.
"Wha-" His eyes widened as he stumbled forward, Jamaal having dodged the punch and grabbed hold of the aggressor's arm tightly, twisting it with all his might as he pulled the bully towards him.
Once the surprised and confused bully came close, the boy punched him, causing an all-out brawl to occur.
[The Continent of Tanzania]
"So what do the reports say?" A voice uttered from the throne, glaring down towards a plump man that seemed to be sweating out buckets continuously.
"Y-your majesty, the reports are coming out with zero results, it seemed it was just a meeting or a hunt..." The man spluttered, using a silk handkerchief to wipe off the sweat from his brow.
"Nothing to worry about." He looked up at the throne to see the cloaked figure looking ahead.
"Interesting... Continue the investigations. There has to be something else for the horde to come together like that." The figure rested his head upon his hand and thought carefully.
"In the meantime, summon the carriage, there is a place I have to be." He looked down at the fatty servant of his and got up, disappearing.
"Make it quick. I'll be waiting." The figure said before he left, leaving the plump man alone.
"O-Of course my liege." He said, running towards the doors of the throneroom to do his task.
[Earth]
The day had ended so Jamaal was in his room. Laying on the bed as he looked at the ceiling above.
"I wish I could go back... I've had enough of a break..." He sighed, turning himself to the side to look out through the window.
"There are too many things to do there that I can't do here... Too many questions unanswered, stones unturned..." He mumbled, silently trying to lull himself to sleep.
He glanced at the time for a moment before groaning inwardly. At times like these, it was always hard to sleep, so he could only keep trying.
He levelled his breathing and shut his eyes, just keeping his head thought-free as slowly, he began to get sleepy.
[Does host want to come back to the Continent of Tanzania?] A familiar emotionless voice sounded in his head through the darkness.
[Yes or no?]
Jamaal thought about it before answering.
"Yes. I want to go back to that place. It is my relief pill after all," Jamaal nodded, and soon, everything turned bright.
Jamaal opened his eyes, a happy smile appearing almost instantly.
"I'm back!" He got up, laughing. This place was a traumatic place, but it was also a place he loved.
"Thank you... Finally, I can continue with my plans." The boy took a deep breath, still smiling ear to ear as he gathered his happiness and bottled it down, already walking towards a marked location on his map.
"System, give an estimated time when I'll reach the location."
[One day and five hours. With rest and food, two days.] The system replied, though adding something later on.
[And... Host? It's good to see you again.]
Jamaal chuckled, shaking his head as he began to journey onwards.
"Same with me System."
