Naruto knew that he was wasn't like the other kids, he wasn't bought a cake for his birthday or even praised when he did something well; and that's why hes now cold and heartless, only showing mercy to the innocent.

Naruto had always despise having to mask his abilities, but he understood that without the mask he hid behind, he would be banished from the very village his father saved.

Several years ago Naruto had made a deal with Kurama, the Nine Tail Fox that's trapped inside his body, and although it was so long ago, he remembered it like it was yesterday.

He thought back, the memories of the damp rode, his heavy breathing as the shops adn restaurants flashed past him in blinding colors as he pushed his legs as fast as he could in an effort to escape from the angered mob chasing him.

Suddenly, a beefy, ruff hand pushed him, causing Naruto to fall into an allyway, mud now coating his clothing.

Naruto stared at the mob, eyes brimming with unshed tears for the fear of the pain to come.

He understood their intentions, revenge for the massacre that the whole village blamed on him, a mere child, but he couldn't care less, they all knew he was innocent, a child was not capable of such things, but these people couldn't see that. The hatred created a thick cloud to fog their thoughts.

The mob approached him at a rapid pace as Naruto crawled backwards, hitting a dead end.

The angered group started to scream and yell insults as they punched and kicked at Naruto's ribs.

A loud crack followed by a grunt of pain as Naruto's rip gives out under the heavy onslaught of attacks.

He closes his eyes, the pain unbearing, helpless to stop the mob from hurting him.

When he reopened his eyes he stood in sewer, when he looked across the murky water he saw a mighty fox with nine tails sprawled around itself.

"Where am I? Who are you?" He was extremely confused as to what was happening, the last thing he could remember was a mob of villagers attacking him.

"My name is Kurama." The beast responded.

Later that day both me and the nine tails agreed upon the fact that I must act dumb to insure my own survival.

But that's not whats important right now, he's currently about to take the genin exams. Iruka sensei walks into the classroom with a bright smile and says, "Today, class, is a very important day, you will taking the genin exams to see if your ready to become a ninja! Now, when I call your name please walk into the room down the hall where you will be scored on the three predetermined jutsus. Make sure to remeber everything you've been taught and do your best!"

"Hey Kurama," He says into his mind, deciding that talking to the nine tails would be better than sitting at his desk in silence until he was called.

After waiting and getting no response he decided that screaming would get a better reaction, "KURAMA GET UP YOU LAZY FOX!"

"....ugh" A low groan from inside his head, "What do you want kit? I was taking a very needed nap!" The beat questions, aggravated at the sudden interruption.

"Very important my ass, you're always sleeping!" Naruto responds, tired of the seemingly constant state of sleep the fox is in.

A low groan of annoyance was the only response, "Okay whatever, just help me, I need to know if I can finally show just how powerful I am. I'm tired of this" Naruto asks Kurama, fed up with his disguise.

Kurama debated for a moment before finally saying "Well Kit, I see no reason why not, gotta keep my promise remember?" I smiled, so he does remember, "and anyways, I wanna see the looks on their faces when you show your jutsu."

Then Kurama just started snorting his ass of at the thought "I mean just imagine-"

Naruto cuts the mind link off and starts to pay attention to what Iruka sensei was saying "-now we're down to the last few people to take the test."

After Iruka listed off a few more names he finally said " and the last person to take the test," a small pause as he looks for the only name not marked off yet, "Naruto Uzamaki."

He smirked and stood from his seat ready to finally show everyone a small taste of how powerful he could really be.
