Ghost POV
"Are you fucking serious?!" asks Phantom
I'm standing there out in the field, far away from the camp so that Phantom's yelling doesn't wake up the soldiers back at camp.
"Yea I'm serious."
"I can't believe that you'll actually do that." says Phantom
"Look we can't deny the fact that it's the only option I have left."
"Are you serious?! I told you I'll do it, I'll kill her!"
"You have to admit that you can't." I reply
"Neither can you." says Phantom
I stand there looking at her eyes as I thought about what she just said.
"I know."
"Then why the fuck aren't you allowing any one of us to take her out?!" she yells
"I can't allow that."
"Why the fuck not?!"
"I can't lose you, not again." I reply
Phantom's eye went from angry and confused, to sadness.
"And what about me?" she asks, "What am I supposed to do if you die?"
Silence filled the air as a cool breeze was brewing throughout the field.
"I want to make sure you're alive." I reply
"Do you really think that's going to happen after you die? Huh? How am I supposed to move on, just like how you couldn't move on when I went missing."
"I don't kno-" I got cut off mid sentence with a punch to my face.
"Are you serious?! You're just going to leave me like that?!" she yells at me
"Then do you any better ideas?" I ask
"We can come up with one!"
"Like what?" I ask
"I don't know, but we'll come up with one!"
"By the time we come up with one Recon will have killed a lot more people out there, it's now or never situation."
"But there's always time." replies Phantom
"Not anymore." I reply, "Time is no longer on our side."
Phantom stops staring me down and stares at the ground.
"I can't lose you." whispers Phantom
"Neither can I."
Phantom lowers her bandana and sighs as she rubs her eyes.
"So you're going to kill her then, right?" asks Phantom
"Yea I will."
"Okay, I trust you."
Phantom looks up at me and smiles to reassure me.
"Let's go back to camp." I say
We head back and I enter my tent that was designated for me.
"How are your wounds?" she asks
"Getting better, it shouldn't be a problem by the time we get to Russia."
"Is your right side getting better?"
"Let me take a look." she replies
I remove my gun, then my vest. I put them to the side and start taking off my headgear, headset and mask. I finally take off my top to reveal my bare skin wrapped with multiple bandaids on my chest, abs and arms.
I sit down on my bed with Phantom who takes off her vest, jacket, hat, earpiece and bandana. She slowly starts to take off my blood stained bandaids, revealing my cuts, bruises and bullet wounds.
She throws away my old bandaids and gets the new ones out. She checks my right side and places her hand where my scars are.
"You know that the doctor told you to rest for at least 2 weeks so that the stab wounds can heal." she whispers
"Yea I know, but I needed to be out there with you."
She smiles again as she begins to caress my stab wounds. She then starts reapplying the bandaids around my wounds.
"There, you're all set."
Phantom finishes up her last touches of wrapping my wounds. She then hugs me and proceeds to kiss my cheek.
I cup her cheeks and kiss her for the first time since the day we cured her. We continued for 5 minutes until I broke away to catch my breathe.
"Get some rest." says Phantom, "I'll patrol."
She puts on her stuff and heads out of my tent.
"Goodnight Ajax."
"Goodnight Emily.

0700 hours
"We have a change of plans." says Hacker
"What is it?" I ask as I put on my gear
"Apparently they want us to head over to Colorado." replies Hacker
I stop what I was doing and turn to look at Hacker.
"Why?"
"They want you to meet Kit's parents, they might have something important for us." replies Hacker
"When are we leaving?"
"As soon as you're ready sir."
I get out of my tent and meet up with the team.
"Listen up we have a change of plans." I say
Eren and the rest get up and circle around me.
"We are going to Colorado." I say
"Colorado?" asks Erwin
"Yes, me, Kit, Phantom and Marksman have some personal business to attend too." I reply
"What are we supposed to do on standby?" asks Hange
"Scout team will uhh," I think for a second before replying, "explore the base."
"When are we leaving?" asks Levi
"Right now." I reply
Scout team moves out to the Ospreys that are prepping to take off.
"Sir, permission to speak?" asks Kit
"Granted."
"Does this have anything to do with my parents? Or my brother?" asks Kit
"I don't know, we'll find that out when we get there." I reply

2 hours later
Eren's POV
"Whoa..." gasps Armin
We are now at a base at Black canyon of the gunnison. The sight was just breathtaking, it was like nothing we have ever seen before. I was standing with the entire Scout team on the edge of a cliff. On the other side was another cliff leading to a different direction, and in between the cliffs, was valley. The valley was deep down so it was pretty dark down there but you can see a narrow stream down there.
"Hey careful." says Reiner to Historia
"I'll be fine, don't worry." replies Historia while smiling.
I could the Reiner's cheeks change color to pink.
"Nice view isn't it." says Bomber
"Yea, I didn't think this kind of place would exist." said Hange
"Well, you do now." says Hacker
"How long will the Captain be gone for?" asks Javelin
"It takes 5 hours to get to Denver by car. So probably around 11 hours or so." replies Hacker
"So for 11 hours, what are we going to do?" asks Marco
"Whatever you want."
"Can I go see the ocean?" asks Armin
Juggernaut laughs, "We're like in the middle of a country, there's no way you can see the ocean."
Armin looks down after hearing what Juggernaut just said.
"But guess what kid," continues Juggernaut, "we're going to see the ocean tomorrow."
"Really?" says the enlighten Armin
"Yea, we're going to stop by a Japanese air base and it's near a beach so you'll get to see it." continues Juggernaut
"Guys did you hear that?! We're going to the ocean!" exclaims Armin
Everyone chuckles from the sight of Armin's excitement.
"They've retaken Japan?" asks Javelin
"Yea, there's nothing for you to worry about, you're going home." says Hacker
Javelin nods and I can tell from her eyes, that behind her bandana, she is smiling.
"Food should be on its way." said Javelin, "Let's go and get some."
We all get up and towards the main eating square.
Even though we are still a long way from winning this war, I can feel it getting closer.

5 hours later
Ghost POV
"There, that's my home." says Kit
I park the humvee right outside the designated house and get off. Kit jogs to the porch of the house and knocks on the door while I leave my M4 in the humvee, but I still had my pistol on me.
The door opens and there stood a man in his early 50's looking at the four of us in confusion.
"No, don't tell me..." says the man
"Dad it's me, Logan." says Kit
The man looks at Kit as he pulls down his bandana, revealing his face. The man stands there in utter shock and hugs him.
"Oh my boy, is home!" cries the man
"Honey, what's going on?" comes a voice from inside the house
A lady in her early 50's comes to the front door to see Kit standing there. She gasps and covers her mouth at the sight of Kit.
"I'm home mom." says Kit as he hugs his mom
After their 5 minutes of crying and hugging, they let us in and we sit down at the dinning table.
"So what brings you here?" asks the father
"Sir, we think you have something for us." I say
"Call me Mr Tront please." replies Mr Tront
"Understood." I reply
"You sound really familiar, have we met?" asks Mrs Tront
"Mom, he's Captain Ghost, Malvik's friend." replies Kit
Both parents look at me with wide open eyes, but I just look at my hands on the table.
"Then, by any chance did Tessa come back?" asks Mrs Tront
I sigh with the others and I fidget in my seat.
"She's a traitor Mr Tront." says Marksman
"What?"
"She was a Russian spy." I say
"How could she..." mutters Mrs Tront
"Right now that's not the important part." says Phantom, "We were told that you have something for us. I believe you should reveal them to us."
Mr Tront looks at Mrs Tront and they seem to hesitate for a second until Mrs Tront gets up and leaves the room to get it.
"So how's Kit doing on the field?" asks Mr Tront
"He's doing great." I reply
"How are you doing?" asks Mr Tront
"I'm, the same." I reply back
Mrs Tront comes back with a briefcase and lays in on the table. She opens it and in it was a bunch of papers, articles, maps and pictures.
"What's all this?" asks Marksman
"This was my investigation on the human experiment." replies Mr Tront
I look up at him as I realize the reason why Recon was after Kit all along.
"I had a friend who was a scientist back in Russia." says Mr Tront, "He would always tell me how he was doing something great for the future but wouldn't tell me what. He said it was part of a government intelligence. But one day, I never heard from him nor his wife who was also a scientist. So I did some research and this is what I got."
"What was your friend's name?" I ask
"Albert Petrov." replies Mr Tront
"What?" snaps Phantom
This seems to scare Mr Tront a bit so he jumps back into his chair a bit.
"Is there a problem?" I ask
"That's Tessa's last name, Petrov." she replies
"So, might be a coincidence, who knows." says Marksman
"No I don't think they had a daughter, well I never got to ask her." says Mr Tront
"Do you know what happened to Albert?" I ask
"Well according to my research, I broke into the Russian top secret articles and their experiments. Apparently he was killed by an American assassin with some other lady assassin. He wasn't the only one that got killed, it was the other scientists too." replies Mr Tront
"Who were the assassins?" asks Phantom
"I came to America to find those answers. Apparently the 46th president gave an order to two assassins who were married." says Mr Tront, "Their names should be here somewhere."
He starts digging into the briefcase and pulls out a paper with the name of the operation and the details of it.
"His name is, uhhhh, Kairos Kan." says Mr Tront
I get up and stumble backwards once I heard the name of my father.
"Ajax, what's wrong?" asks Phantom
I blink at the paper in Mr Tront's hand and I kept remembering the past of my childhood over and over again.
"Ajax, what's wrong?" snaps Phantom
I snap back and slowly sit down.
"Is it okay if we take this?" I ask
"Yes, if it's to help this country then of course." replies Mr Tront
"Captain what's wrong?" asks Kit
I look up and back down at my hands before replying,
"Kairos Kan, is my father."
The entire table was quiet from what I just said.
"And Albert Petrov, is Tessa's father."
"How do you know for sure?" asks Marksman
"She told me, she told me that my parents killed her parents."
Phantom was looking at me with confusion.
"We need to go and get this to HQ." I quickly say.
"Ahh, of course." says Mr Tront, "But may I have a quick word with you?"
I nod, and I hand the briefcase to Phantom as they left the house.
"Please take care of Logan, he's the only thing we have left." says Mr Tront
"I promise I'll him home in one piece Mr Tront." I reply, "Even if it means trading my life for it."
"Thank you, Ajax." replies Mr Tront and Mrs Tront
I left the house and gave Kit a couple of minutes to say farewell before leaving and heading back to base.
"So that's why Tessa wanted Logan in the first place." says Marksman
"But why couldn't she get it off of Malvik before?" asks Phantom
"She told me that she loved him a lot." I reply
"That's some bullshit." replies Phantom
"No it looked like she was being genuine." I reply
"But, I don't understand why this is all important." says Kit
"This gives me another option." I reply
"What do you mean?" asks Marksman
"We can release this into the public of every country, that way it end this war faster without me or Tessa dying." I reply
"But she's still going to be after you." says Phantom
"That's what Recon and I have to clarify." I reply
"How?"
"One on one talking." I reply
"She can kill you right there on the spot." replies Phantom
"She won't." I reply
"How can you trust her?" asks Phantom
"I have my ways." I reply
Phantom sighs and just sits back and continues reading the files.
"The 46th president is still alive, we can ask him." says Kit
"That's for next time, right now, we hit Russia directly."

6 hours later
Eren's POV
The captain was back and he filled us on the information we needed to hear, it completely surprised me how, everything fit in like a puzzle for Ghost. We can end this war faster than we thought.
The HQ released the info that Ghost had recovered and so far, most of the countries that allied with Russia turned their backs on Russia and started aiding us.
"So what now?" asks Hange, "What's our next step."
"Tomorrow we set out to Russia and we end this god forsaken war once and for all." says Ghost
