Eren's POV

"Hey Armin look!"

I point towards the beach where the ocean is. We're Japan right now and we just landed at the base near the sea with the entire Sentinel Corp.

Armin ran to the beach and touch the sand carefully before touching it like he's never been so happy.

"It's the ocean!" cheers Armin

He takes off his boots and slowly walks into the water with the others. Jean looks at the water, picks up some in his hands and drinks it.

"What the fuck! It's salty!" spits Jean

Connie pushes Sasha into the water and runs away. Hange is examining the shells and the sand with Erwin and Levi. Mike picked up a sea shell and sniffed it while Nanaba laughed at him. Moblit was doing his business with Marlowe and Hitch.

I take off my boots and slowly approaching the waves of the ocean. Once my foot makes contact with the water I immediately retract because it was cold. I try again but this time I walk further into the cold salt water. I look around and just see everyone in the water, enjoying the time.

Someone splashes me with water behind me, so I turn around and see Annie splashing me with water at my face. I laugh and splash water on her face too and that's how a whole water fight started.

Ghost POV

"They're like little kids." says Javelin

"Yea, they've been stuck in walls like a bird cage. Give them some time." I reply

"Yes sir." she replies, "It's good to be back home sir."

"I understand, plus I think someone wants to see you." I reply back as I turn around and approach the refugees in the base.

She follows me and looks around confused.

"Who's looking for me sir?" she asks

"Her." I point at a lady who was sitting down and taking care of her kids.

Javelin looks surprised as she slowly approaches her. The woman looks up at Javelin and immediately gasps, covering her mouth. She tears up and hugs her as Javelin hugs her back while crying.

"Who's she?" asks Phantom

"Her aunt, I was checking the names of the refugees and her last name popped up, so I talked to her aunt and it was her." I reply

"How nice of you." says Phantom

"Is that an insult?" I ask

She chuckles and shrugs at me.

"When are you going to see your parents?" I ask

"When this is all over." she replies, "Plus they think I'm MIA so might as well surprise them."

"I was going to tell them either way." I reply

"Well, my parents want to meet you either way so I think it'll be nice if you surprise them with me." she says

"Surprise huh, I'll think about that." I reply

"I wasn't asking you, it was an order." she says

I look at her with one eyebrow raised but I just smiled and nodded.

"Fine, I'll do it."

"Good." she chuckles

"Let's get ready, we're leaving in 10." I turn to leave but Phantom grabs my arm before leaving.

"If we bump into her, you know what to do right?" she asks without looking at me.

"We talked about this, we have the info, I need answers." I reply

"Are you really going to put your personal business in front of your mission?"

"It's my parents, I have to know." I reply

She let go of my arm and we walk off to our separate directions.

Eren's POV

Yakutsk, Russia

"The LZ is too hot, we need to clear the roof of the buildings around it" yells the pilot

I grabbed onto the handling inside the Black Hawk as we approached the LZ. Rpg missiles flew right by us as we passed buildings with hostiles on the roof. Jean lit them up with the mini gun installed on the helicopter.

There were 10 of us in the helicopter making it hard to move around. Sasha, Mikasa and Connie are shooting at the hostiles on the roof near our LZ.

"LZ is clear, rope down!" yells the pilot

I throw the ropes down from the side and I grapple down first onto the roof. Everyone else follows up and we set up on the roof.

"This is Scout 104 2nd squad, we are in position." says Armin through his headsets.

"This is Scout 104 2nd squad, we are approaching your LZ." replies Erwin

Another black hawk hovers over us as the 2nd squad deploys right next to us.

"What's our objective again?" asks Connie

"Are you serious Connie?" groans Sasha

"Sorry, it was too long ago." replies Connie

"There are anti tank missile units 5 blocks from here and it's demolishing out tank units." says Erwin, "We need to flank them and surprise them."

"But wouldn't they be expecting us?" asks Levi

"That's why we're going to have to use the buildings to intercept them." replies Erwin

"This is HQ, be advised there are AA tanks at the center of the city and we can't give you any air support at the moment." says HQ through my headset, "Unless someone takes them out, not a single aircraft can get in out out."

"Wait isn't Echo on his way right now?" asks Marlowe

"Damn it, we gotta go now." says Erwin, "Hange, Levi, Moblit, take Eren, Jean, Armin, Mikasa, Connie and Sasha and take out the AA guns. The rest of you follow me."

We split up as we filed down the buildings and moved down the street in a single file. I can hear the gunshots and explosions echo off in the distance. We started getting closer to the center of the city as the sound of the gunshots kept increasing.

"RPG!" yells Connie

I immediately jump to cover but I was too late as I got blasted away and hit a car completely knocking the wind out of me.

"Eren are you okay?" asks Armin

I nod so Armin grabbed the back of my vest on dragged me behind a car.

"They're in the building on our left! Right out the entrance!" yells Hange

"We're pinned down!" yells Moblit.

Levi's busy taking out the hostiles popping out of the windows near the entrance of the building.

"Connie, Jean! Use your grenade launchers!" yells Levi

I slowly get up as Connie and Jean fire their launchers straight into the entrance of the building, the entrance exploded and dust and smoke covered the entrance.

One hostile comes out weak and all confused, he stops and sees us standing there right in front of him but Levi shoots him, dead.

"Let's go." says Hange

"This is Echo coming in, looks like uhhh wait what the fuck?" says Echo through the headsets. "Incoming!" yells Echo

I look up to see our jet fighters taking heavy fire, 4 of them were already hit and falling down straight towards us.

"Everyone inside the building now!" yells Levi as he kicks down a door.

We immediately rush in but Connie was the last one in and the jet crashed right in front of the entrance, knocking him out. His body flew right onto Sasha knocking her off her feet.

"Connie!" yells Jean

"I'm good." groans Connie

I help up Connie and Sasha and we continue our way through the building, trying to find the exit.

"Sasha, provide overlook on this building, you should be able to see the center of the city from up there." says Levi

"I'll go with her sir." implies Connie

"Okay, report in what you see from there." says Levi

We found our exit into an alleyway and proceeded to make our way towards the center.

"Ma'am, there are 5 AA tanks positioned there with at least a platoon covering them." says Sasha through the headset.

"Understood, we're approaching from the west." replies Hange

The noise of the firing from the AA tanks increased as we are approaching the center. We came into view of the center and we hid behind some cars.

"Sasha, take the first shot, after, Connie use your rocket launcher and take out at least one of the tanks." says Hange

"Roger." replies Connie

I look up to see one guy carrying some boxes move towards a tank. He stops moving to look around but then I heard Sasha fire and the bullet hit him straight in the head.

Then Connie's rocket hit a tank that is near box of ammunition, causing a bigger explosion.

"Eren, shift." says Levi

"Yes sir." I reply

I jump over the car and run towards the enemy, I bite my thumb and shifted into my titan.

Jean's POV

Eren grabs a tank before it can shoot him and smashes it on another tank, destroying both of them.

"Let's move." says Hange

I jump over the fence and start shooting remaining hostiles while walking towards the tanks.

"Moblit, put your C4 on the remaining tanks!" yells Hange

Moblit breaks formation and runs off towards a tank. I continue shooting the remaining hostiles as Eren is getting shot at by the tank.

"Fire in the hole!" yells Moblit

Moblit pushes the detonator, exploding the tank.

"We're done here." says Levi

"Ghost team approaching from your north, watch your fire." says Hacker through the headsets

I turn to see Ghost team approaching us from the north.

"You guys okay?" asked Ghost

"We're all in one shape." replies Hange

I see movement at the corner of my eye, so I quickly turn and I see a hostile aim a rocket launcher straight at us.

"Look out!" I yell

Sasha takes him out but he fires the rocket straight up into the air, and it hits the wing of a jet,.

"Shit, this is Echo, I'm hit!" yells Echo through the headset

"Echo get out of there!" yells Ghost

"Shit, my seat is stuck! I'm going down!"

"Echo bail out now!" yells Ghost

But before Echo crashes into a building, Eren catches the jet just in time. Eren slides back a few yards but manages to stand still with the jet. He slowly lowers the jet onto the ground, Ghost jumps onto the jet and breaks open the hatch and pulls out Echo who's unconscious.

"Kit check on him." says Ghost

"Yes sir." replies Kit

"We've taken down most of the hostiles here so we're done, we got a new mission." says Ghost

"What is it?" asks Hange

"We are supposed to go behind the enemy lines to rescue a squad that was sent there before us." says Ghost, "We leave right now."

Eren's POV

"Since when did it snow?"

I walk through the damn branches and vines in the forest where we were told that the squad was last contacted in.

"Where the hell are they?" asks Jean

"Hey I found a clearing." said Nanaba

I look to see just an open field covered in snow. But as we approach the opening, there was a horrible scene waiting for us.

"What the fuck...' whispers Jean

Right in front of me, are 7 heads on separate sticks that were jammed into the ground.

"Fucking barbarians." growls Hange

"Look there's more." says Connie

He points up towards the trees behind the decapitated heads and there hanging on the branches, were cut off limbs of the soldiers. Blood dripped from the heads and limbs into the snow, staining the beautiful white snow.

"Captain, we got something." says Erwin

"On our way." replies Ghost

Historia vomits into the snow and Ymir helps her out.

"I'm going to fucking kill them all." I growl

Ghost team arrives and they just stand there looking right at the sight.

Kit tries hard not to look but he just couldn't just cries. Ghost closes the eyes of the soldiers and takes off their dog tags that were hanging on the sticks.

"What kind of person executes people like this?" asks Marco

"This wasn't just an execution." says Marksman, "This is a sign, a waring sign."

I ball my hands into fists as my anger kept growing within every minute.

"This is horrible." says Annie

I hear branches snap behind us, multiple footsteps behind us so I quickly turn around and aim my gun to whoever it was behind us.

And there, standing right there, was Recon, Captain Ivanov and some wounded Russian soldiers.

"Recon..." whispers Ghost.

Everyone immediately aims their guns at them, but the Russian soldiers look scared as some of them were limping, holding their arms or sides in pain, or helping out their fellow comrades.

"Did you do this?" asks Erwin

Recon looks pass us to the corpses on the sticks on branches.

"Let my men pass, they weren't a part of this." says Recon

"Oh shut the fuck up, since when did you start caring for your men." says Ghost

"Look, I did it myself but they didn't so leave them out of this." says Recon

"I don't feel so merciful right now." growls Ghost

"None of us are." I imply

Recon scans us with her eyes and sighs.

"Then let's make a deal." says Recon, "Let my men go, and I'll give you the answers you want."

"What answers?" asks Levi

"The truth behind the Titan organization." replies Recon

"Titan organization?" asks Phantom

"National Humanism Experimental Organization." replies Recon

"The NHEO." says Marksman, "I remember seeing that in the articles."

"Doesn't matter, we don't need answers." says Phantom

"Wait." says Recon, "I also have answers about your father. And mother."

Captain Ghost still maintains his position but he slightly lowers his gun.

"Sir, do not make this personal." says Jean

Ghost turns to look at us, giving Ivanov a chance to lash at Ghost.

"Captain!" I yell

Ghost immediately ducks under Ivanov's swing. Ghost stands back up as Ivanov does a jump back kick with his right leg, but Ghost moves his left side, brings his right arm under Ivanov's leg, and slams his down onto the ground. Ivanov gets up and draws both of his swords and swings at Ghost. He ducks and punches Ivanov's stomach then his face. Ivanov tries stabbing him but Ghost simply moves to the side, grabs the handle of the sword and kicks him away. Ivanov falls down and once he gets up Ghost swings the swords and cuts off Ivanov's head.

"Goddamit Ghost!" yells Recon

Ghost picks up Ivanov's head and throws towards Recon's feet. I didn't feel bad at all, he deserved it.

"Ghost, he didn't kill them." says Recon

"I don't give a shit." replies Ghost, "You're next if you don't give the answers."

"Damn you." growls Recon

Ghost aimed his pistol to a wounded hostile and shot him in the leg causing him to scream in pain.

"Okay stop! Fuck I'll give you the answers just fucking ask!" yells Recon

"Not now, we're taking you to custody." says Marksman

"That won't be necessary." says a voice behind us.

I quickly turn around to see 2 whole platoon surrounding us. Commander Salazar was amongst them as he stood there.

"We'll let you go if you just simply walk away." says Salazar

"We're not leaving without those answers." snaps Hange

"Neither am I, I need to know why I had to live my life in a fucking cage." says Connie

"I need to understand how your government allowed such things to happen to humans." implies Erwin

Some of the Russian soldiers began to lower their guns to the ground, and at first I thought they were surrendering.

"Wait, something's wrong." whispers Annie

The Russian soldiers began to pull out knives and get into fighting stance. I look around and every Russian soldier had their knives out at us.

"Recon, get back to base, you need to take your serum." says Salazr

Recon looks at Ghost and slowly approaches him causing Ghost to cock his gun. But then I hear Recon whisper something to Ghost in a different language, and Ghost slowly lowers his gun and moves out of the way.

"Are you serious right now?" asks Phantom

"We have a deal." says Ghost

Recon leaves the group and those who remained are the Russian soldiers and us.

"I suppose you're not going to let us go." says Erwin

Salazar smirks and his soldiers get ready, they outnumber 3 times and more than half of us are kids.

Marksman throws down his sniper rifle and pulls out is knife along with the rest of ghost team. Even Jean throws down his gun and pulls out his combat knife, so I do the same.

Salazar barks at his soldiers and they cry out before charging straight at us.

One guy comes swinging at me so I duck under and stab his stomach twice before he falls down. I continue to move on to the next person that attacks me, my blood boiling from the cruelty the Russian soldiers have in their hearts.

I swing my knife at a guy's throat and he clenches his throat but to no avail. I see Armin struggling to fight back so I run up to him and tackle him to the ground. The soldier gets on top of me and brings down his knife. I grab hold of his arm and try to push back up as he pushes his arm down.

But Ghost grabs him from behind and stabs his heart and then cuts open his chest, blood spilling out like a waterfall. Then Ghost stabs him multiple times in the heart again as the blood stains the snow.

I look around and see Marksman uppercutting someone's chin with his knife.

"Nanaba is hit!" yells Hange

I turn to see Hange helping out Nanaba laying on ground bleeding.

Mikasa kicks a soldier to the ground and proceeds to get on top of him and stab him in his chest.

I get up and block a knife swing that comes up to me. I quickly switch my holding position to inverse as I duck under another swing, as I duck under I slice his stomach then stand up and slit his throat.

One guy tackles me to the ground and starts choking me. I look to my right and I see a knife so I grab it and stab his side 3 times before flipping him over and finishing him.

I look up to see a soldier run towards me but a knife came flying from behind me and it hit the soldier's forehead, he collapses right in front of me.

"Eren, are you okay?" asks Mikasa

"Yea, I'm fine." I reply

I quickly get up and I flip over a soldier that tried to tackle me but before I stabbed him, 3 gunshots shot through the air.

Everyone stops and looks at the direction the gunshots came from. Ghost was holding commander Salazar with his knife at Salazar's neck. Hange had Nanaba wrapped up and everyone else was breathing hard from the fight.

Recon's standing there with a pistol in the air.

"Stop this." says Recon, "We had a deal."

Ghost then lets go of Salazar and kicks him towards Recon. Everyone else does the same, I grab the soldier, pick him up and shove him away.

"Fall back." says Ghost

I pick up my knife and my gun from the ground as the enemy begins to retreat.

"How's Nanaba?" asks Mike

"She's fine, I got to stop the bleeding." says Hange

Ghost was covered in blood, especially his hands.

"Bag up the bodies of our men." says Marksman

"Annie are you okay?" asks Bertholdt

"Yea I'm fine." replies Annie

That kind of throws me off so I take a step to approach them, but there's a sudden sharp pain in my stomach. I look down and I notice a huge cut on my stomach, blood oozing out.

Even though I knew I could heal, my head started feeling dizzy and I my body begins to grow tired.

I fall down to my knees and collapse onto the bloody snow.

"Eren? Eren!" yells Armin

I feel someone pick me up and flip me onto my back. All I can focus on is the blue sky and nothing else.

"Why isn't he healing?" echoes a voice

"I don't know, Kit get him treated!"

"Eren, you got this don't worry, we're going back to safety."

Jean's POV

3 hours later

"Did you figure out what's wrong?" asks Reiner

"Yea we did." replies Kit

Kit takes out a knife and stabs it on the table.

"This is a Russian combat knife." says Hange

"Not just any knife." says Kit, "This one is created to be able to kill titan shifters and it prevents them from healing."

"How?" asks Levi

"Probably from metal material. That's why Salazar wanted to go hand to hand combat." says Kit

"If, they had a successful weapon made like the knife, wouldn't they make bullets soon?" asks Marco

"Yea, they're probably working on it right now." says Kit

"How's Eren?" asks Hitch

"I don't know." replies Kit

"Where's Captain Ghost going?" asks Moblit

I turn to look to see Captain Ghost get on a helicopter by himself and Phantom stood on the platform to see him take off.

"No idea, I'm going to go check up on Eren." says Kit

Kit's POV

I enter the infirmary room, Mikasa, Armin and Annie are sitting next to Eren.

"Let's take a look." I say

I roll up Eren's shirt and remove the bandaids from his wound.

"Is he going to live?" asks Armin

"I can't tell." I reply, "This needs stitches."

I grab a tray with the right utensils and begin to prepare myself. I remove all my headgears and my gloves. I put on medical gloves and a medical apron and grab some of my stuff.

"If he wakes up, hold him down, this is going to hurt." I tell them

I begin to stitch his stomach and Eren starts to groan in pain so I try to take it slowly. But Eren jerks making me miss a spot and poke the needle somewhere else. Eren wakes up and screams in pain and immediately Mikasa and Annie hold him down.

"Armin, morphine!" I yell

Armin grabs the morphine and injects Eren with it, calming him down a bit.

"There, now he has a chance to live." I sigh

I continue stitching and I finish 6 minutes later. I clean up the blood near the cut and clean up my bloody utensils and take fo my bloody gloves and apron.

"When's he going to get back on the field?" asks Armin

"Probably in 2-3 weeks, depends on the person." I reply

"How was he not able to heal?" asks Annie

"The knife had some kind of metallic material that prevented him from healing." I reply, "And that's what I think. Hange is probably going to look into it."

"Thanks for saving Eren." says Mikasa

"Just doing my duty." I reply, "Oh what's up with you and Bertholdt?" I ask Annie

"Bertholdt?" asks Armin, "Well everyone knows that he likes her."

"He's just a friend." says Annie

"Okay, well take a break, I'll check in in 10 minutes."
