HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS
(LET THE RAINFALL TO MAKE THE SEED GROW STRONG)
After three hours, Vendia alongside, Mary and Sir Aloit, then go back to their carriage carrying the goods they bought from the market.
"Is that all you want and need, Vendia?" Sir Aloit asks outside the carriage.
"Yes, that's all, Sir Aloit," Vendia answer,
"Okay. Let's go!" Sir Aloit responds, then closes the carriage door as they then ride away to go to the place they were going to stay in for five days.
After fifteen minutes, they then arrived in front of the small mansion that Vendia parents own before. Sir Aloit then, together with the coachman, put the heavy luggage inside the mansion one by one, while Vendia and Mary went inside the kitchen to put things they brought from the market to each rightful place.
"Miss, can you lend me a hand of that?" Mary pointed to the colossal size brown paper full of loaf bread.
"Oh, here," Vendia lent it to her, and she takes it then put it to the kitchen top cabinet.
"What about this?" Vendia asks, pointing at the Vegetables and many other goods that they bought.
"Oh, I will arrange it, Miss. You can go upstairs to choose your room," Mary propose,
"Are you sure?" Vendia ask for assurance,
"Yes, I am," Mary respond then Vendia nod and smile at her.
"Okay,"
Vendia went out of the kitchen then meets Sir Aloit, who is with the coachman still busy putting inside their heavy luggage.
"Sir Aloit, I will choose my room upstairs," Vendia takes permission from Sir Aloit.
"Go ahead," Sir Aloit answers, then Vendia nods at him.
"Okay,"
Vendia then went upstairs to choose her room and saw three doors with the same colors, black, but has an original design engraved. The first one has a lilac flower designed. The other one has a rose designed. While the last one has a Jasminum sambac flower designed.
"Okay, I choose the last one," Vendia mentions, then went inside the room, when she already inside a fragrant flower of Jasminum sambac then filled her nose.
"Hem..." She sniffs and smells the fragrance of the flower that comes from outside her terrace.
"Jasminum sambac," Mary pop out of nowhere, and Vendia got startled.
"Mary!"
"Oh, I'm sorry, Miss. Did I startle you?" Mary apologies to her.
"You almost give me a heart attack," Vendia replies, panting from surprise.
"I'm sorry, Miss," Mary apologizes as Vendia deep sighs and nods.
"Is fine, but don't do that again, understand?"
"I understand, Miss," Mary reply, showing a sad expression, and Vendia felt she had done something wrong.
"What's going on?" Sir Aloit, join them in.
"Why are you wearing that kind of expression, Mary?" Sir Aloit added, wondering.
"I startled, Miss Vendia," Mary answer, still wearing an apologetic expression.
"Oh," Sir Aloit look over to Vendia with an awkward gaze.
"Oh, look outside your room, hahaha," Sir Aloit mention with a laugh alongside his words as he pointed outside the terrace.
"What is it, Sir Aloit?" Vendia asks, curious.
"Is raining," Sir Aloit responds, and Mary laughs.
"Sir Aloit," Vendia smile at him as she feels relief upon making Mary back to her cheerful self again.
"But I'm serious. Look outside and down from your terrace. There is Jasminum sambac," Sir Aloit mentions, and Vendia looks at her confused as Mary stops laughing, then looks at both of them.
"Is a white flower, Miss. It's known for her relaxing fragrance and wonderful glow at night when the full moon shows up every month," Mary mentions,
"What? For real?" Vendia got surprised by Mary's words.
"Yes, for real, and you can only smell the Jasminum sambac flower fragrance when rain showered them, not a clean water but rainwater," Sir Aloit explains, and Vendia's jaw dropped open.
"Waaah, what a rare and special flower,"
'This is the first time I saw such kind of flower,' Vendia thought, amazed by the Jasminum sambac capability and beauty.
"Amazing, right?" Sir Aloit ask,
"Yes, so much. Can we bring one home? I want to show it to my mother and father," Vendia ask,
"No, I'm afraid we can't, Miss," Mary answers her question.
"What? Why?" Vendia asks, sad.
"Because according to the people here. When they try to pull out one from the ground, it died without a minute and never once again grow roots and flower," Mary responded,
"WHAT?" Vendia got stunned.
"The flower represents us, humans. Once you pulled or choose a wrong path, like this flower our future, your future will die like a long-lost dream and never once again grow or found the purpose of life," Sir Aloit open up his realization.
"Woah, Sir Aloit, that was so deep," Mary mentions, surprised.
"Right? I can now apply for a poetic contest," Sir Aloit responds, and they laugh at his words.
"PFT! HAHA HAHAHA, Sir Aloit, your such a cool person," Vendia mentions with a laugh.
"Yeah, he does," Mary agreed, also laughing with her.
"I know," Sir Aloit respond, holding his chin like a detective, nodding.
"PFT! HAHAHAHA," Vendia and Mary laugh more. Sir Aloit then smiled while looking at both of them.
"All right, can you cook a light snack?" Sir Aloit ask Mary,
"Oh, your hungry, Sir Aloit?" Mary asks as she calms herself from laughing while wiping a small tear skip from her eyes.
"Yes, I am," Sir Aloit answer, not denying it.
"Me too," Vendia joined in,
"Okay, I will also go to cook dinner is almost evening," Mary mentions,
"Okay, thank you, Mary," Vendia respond, smiling.
"Your welcome, Miss," Mary responded, then leave the room to go cook inside the kitchen downstairs.
Once Mary had gone downstairs to cook, Vendia then sits on her bed while Sir Aloit sits on the couch in front of her bed as he looks outside the terrace, feeling the relaxing sound of the rain and smell of the Jasminum sambac flower. Both of them enjoy the silent and comfortable surroundings for a minute. Tell Vendia opens a conversation by asking Sir Aloit. About what happened at the market earlier.
"Sir Aloit?"
"Oh, what is your question again?" Sir Aloit pretend he didn't hear her question.
"Why you act so strange when I ask you to buy one mango earlier?" Vendia repeats her question.
"Ahh, right? That,"
"Yes,"
"Well, to tell you the truth. I already buy those fruits before for my wife, but it still didn't work. Maybe becoming parents is not for us," Sir Aloit answer with a laugh alongside his words, but his voice still heard mixed with sadness. Vendia felt pity and torn for Sir Aloit.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Sir Aloit," Vendia apologies.
"Aish... Come here. There is no need to apologize," Sir Aloit mentions as he stood up from the couch and went over to Vendia, then embrace her.
"But, I brought up your painful past. I'm sorry," Vendia responds,
"Aish... is fine! Don't be so overdramatic over it, okay?" Sir Aloit mentions, and Vendia nods, embracing him back.
"I'm sorry, again, Sir Aloit,"
"Aish! Stop apologizing!" Sir Aloit annoyed, and Vendia laugh.
"Hahaha, okay, okay," Vendia reply and Sir Aloit smiles, feeling warm upon hearing Vendia laugh.
"Oh, right? I almost forgot the man who sells strawberries earlier invited us to the town fiesta tonight. Let us all attend," Sir Aloit mentions, and Vendia breaks the hug as she looks at him with surprise.
"For real?" Vendia ask,
"Yes,"
"Yay!" Vendia cheered up.
"Hahaha, let's all have fun tonight, okay?"
"Em!" Vendia reply like a five-year-old kid with a nod and wide smile.
After fifteen minutes, Sir Aloit then leaves Vendia's room to make her rest for a while before they eat dinner later and go to the town fiesta.
Knock
"Miss? The food is ready," Mary called out for her.
"Erm... Mary?" Vendia just woke up from her nap.
"Did I disturb your nap, Miss?" Mary asks, concern.
"No, you did not, Mary. Don't worry," Vendia answer, smiling at her.
"Okay, Miss," Mary replies as she smiles back at her.
"Oh, where's Sir Aloit? Call him so we all can eat dinner together," Vendia mentions, and Mary looks at her with a hesitant face.
"Um, Miss,"
"Look here. We are not in the Marquis residence right now. So, don't worry too much and call Sir Aloit so we all can eat dinner,"
"Okay, Miss," Mary answer, not arguing any further, then leaves to fetch Sir Aloit outside.
To be continued.
