HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(THE YOUNG CHILD HAS ARRIVED)

The five-year-old Mary  stepped into the tub, slowly feeling the mild water eat into her skin, which had not tasted cleanliness in days. When she was finally able to sit in the tub, a sudden surge of emotions she had been holding inside her heart burst out, leaving her choked in her vain and bitter tears.

Her home is still in the woods, but the warmth and happiness fade away, like a few specks of dust that disturb the peace of the tranquil setting. For five minutes, Mary sobs uncontrollably, unaware that the man who had given her shelter was standing outside, hearing the howling, broken puppy who had lost its home.

Yan stood outside for a few moments before returning inside to check on the chicken soup he had made for them to eat. Outside, a sudden creak and a gentle thud could be heard. He crouching on the ground, he turned to his left, stirring the cauldron of warm soup.
