Skipped Ahead A Little

Chapter 48

During the concert, Adam wandered into the crowd to watch the band perform, he told me, "I'll come back after they are done performing." Then he turned around, smiling, "Don't miss me too much."

I had rolled my eyes and said to him, "Yeah, yeah, whatever, I won't miss you."

Adam laughed, "Yeah, sure you won't." Then he left, skipping out of the door.

Sitting down on a chair, I sighed, the walls here were soundproof so I couldn't hear anything from outside, well, I could but it was very faint.

An hour passed and I got bored, I got up from the chair, maybe I should go find Adam and stand in the crowd with him.

I opened the door, wow, it was so loud, I reached into my pocket and pulled out the earplugs. Opening the packet it was in, I popped them into my ears. Even with the earplugs, I could hear the music.

I walked into the crowd, tippytoeing to see Adam's head, I finally spotted him. He was at the front of the crowd. I sighed, I was never going to get there without being run over by someone or losing sight of him.

I just stood in the back watching the band perform. I didn't dare take out my earplugs, or else my eardrums would probably burst.

The concert ended an hour later with Alex yelling into the microphone, "That's all folks, thank you for being here and hope you had fun and enjoyed this, see you next time!"

The band members went backstage, I followed a few seconds after.

I smiled, walking into the room, "You guys did great, that was awesome."

They nodded, "Thanks."

Alex threw his arm over my shoulder, "Thanks, we try our best."

The rest of the time Adam and I spent with the band on tour was practically the same.

They joked around while on the way to new concert destinations, I enjoyed spending time with them.

By the time it was time for Adam and I to go, Alex's band were our friends.

They sent us off when we left, getting to the airport and boarding the plane.

It took about 6 to 7 hours to get back home. When we arrived, Thomas was there to pick us up as always.

I had missed seeing Thomas always ready to pick us up.

He greeted, "Welcome back, Young Sir and Miss."

I smiled, "Hey, Thomas. How's Little Buddy? Did you get along well with him?"

Thomas nodded, "Yes, I have grown to love the little furball over the past week. May I keep him for just one more day?"

I nodded, "Sure."

Thomas smiled, "Thank you."

After the ride home, I waved goodbye to Thomas and went into the apartment, I muttered, "I call shower first."

Adam waved limply at me, "Yeah, sure, I'm going to put your bags in your room for you while you're doing that."

I grabbed some clothes from my suitcase, "Sure, thanks. I'll be quick, or at least I'll try to be."

After showering for about 10 minutes, I heard a loud knock on the door, Adam yelled, "Are you done yet? I need to shower, I smell like a plane and I don't like it!"

I rolled my eyes, "Give me a minute! I still need to dry off!"

Adam's response was, "Well hurry up!"

I sighed, he was so annoying some times, "I'm trying." I dried off my arms and put on my clothes, drying my hair. I got out of the bathroom, "I'm done, it's all yours now."

He darted in, "Finally!" And slammed the door behind him.

I walked into my room crawled into bed, too tired to read, or do anything else but sleep. I closed my eyes and immediately fell asleep. Plane rides always made me tired.

And thus, ended my trip going on tour with Alex's band and Adam and I were back home.
