Planning Adam and Avery's (only Avery's) Birthday

Chapter 49

Note (it is up here because not a lot of people would read the author's thought at the bottom) or they do and I'm just annoying, sorry)): So, here's the thing, I'm lazy, and it would be boring for the people who read this chapter if I keep on writing about Avery going to school and getting home just to read, then sleep, it just repeats over and over again, so I'm skipping a lot (well, not a lot, just the boring parts) and jumping into the Chrismas break. If you feel like I skipped anything, please tell me in the chapter comments and I will do my best to rewrite this chapter or add another one or two.

I sighed, the break had finally started, which means, it was my birthday. I am 14 years old now. I blew hair away from my eyes, it flopped back into the same place, this time pricking me in my eye. Ow, I swiped it away.

I rolled over on my bed and shoved my face into my pillow. Someone opened the door, it was probably Adam.

He walked up to the side of my bed, he poked me on the ribs, I jerked upwards. He poked me again, "What do you want to do for your birthday?"

I rolled over, shrugging, "Nothing, I'm too lazy to want to do anything. What do you want to do?"

Adam raised an eyebrow, "Why are you asking me? It is your birthday, isn't it?"

I sat up, "Yeah, but I don't want to do anything. I just feel lazy and I don't want to do anything for my birthday."

He sighed, "Okay, I'll leave you alone and let you be lazy in peace."

I nodded, "Thanks, see you later." He walked out of my room, muttering under his breathe about how my laziness will be the end of me.

Ugh, why do I feel so lazy today? The door opened and I heard a meow before it closed again. I looked over, it was Little Buddy, he was meowing and making his way over to me.

He jumped onto my bed and sat on my lap, I patted him, he purred and snuggled against me. Aww, he was so cute and soft. I sat there petting Little Buddy for a while.

Adam:

When I called Mark, he picked up on the 2nd ring, "So, about the party?"

Nodding, "Yep, Adam will probably be in his room sleeping and playing with Little buddy for a while. When he gets like this, it will take a while for him to get back to normal again."

I could hear the smiled in Mark's voice, "Okay, good. I'll tell the guys. Thanks for your help, Avery. Sorry, this couldn't be a surprise for you, too."

Rolling my eyes, "Meh, it doesn't really matter to me. Have fun planning the party, I'll call or text you to update you about Adam."

Mark replied, "Okay, thank you."

Sigh, "Bye, Mark." I hung up.

Mark:

I called Alec, he said he was going to be there for Adam's birthday, after 5 rings, he picked up, "Hey there, Mark."

Clearing my throat, "Hey, Alex, are you going to be here for Adam's birthday?"

He answered, "Yeah I'll be there, we finished touring yesterday, I'm just resting."

Nodding eagerly, "Okay, good. Please don't tell Adam about this, this is a surprise party."

Alex laughed, "Sure, okay. I won't tell Adam."

I smiled, "Great, great, bye, need to call our other friends."

Alex said bye and hung up.

I called Shane next, he picked up, "What's up, dude?"

"Hey, Shane. Remember that today is Adam's birthday?" I asked him.

There was a choking noise, "Uhh, Shane, you okay there? You sound like your choking."

He coughed a few times before answering, "Crap, I forgot it was today."

I asked, "Oh, well, can you help me? With Adam's party?"

"Yeah, sure, I'll help, I need to get him a gift," Shane muttered.

"Why don't you make the cake for Adam? That could be your present to him," I suggested.

Shane sighed, "Is that enough?"

"Hmm, yeah, he's our friend. Adam would appreciate it," I told him.

He sighed again, "Okay, I'll make the cake. How big does it have to be?"

I shrugged, "I don't know, just make a cake. Bye, good luck."

"Wait, what flavor should the cake be, when should I-" I cut him off.

"I'll text you the details later, any flavor, good luck," I hung up on him and called William.

He picked up, "Hi, William. It's Adam's birthday today, I'm planning a surprise party for him. It only consists of his friends and his sister. Will you be there?"

There was a rustling noise, then William said, "I'll be there, what time is the party at?"

I told him, "Depends on when I get the decorations up and before the day ends. I'll text you the time, it should be near 3-4 pm."

There was loud yelling, "WILL! WILL! THERE IS A SPIDER IN MY ROOM! GET IT OUT! GET IT OUT!"

"Okay, text me the time, I need to go, my sister is very afraid of spiders. See you later," he hung up.

Okay, that would be everyone, well, there is that guy Luke, Adam talks to during French class, but I don't have his number. Hmm, I wonder if Avery had it.

Texting:

Me: Hey, do you have Luke's phone number?

Avery: Nope, sorry

Me: oh, okay, thank you again for helping me with this

Avery: you're welcome

I bought the supplies, cups, punch, food, candles for the cake, and presents for Adam and Avery.

My driver, Mr.Walker, drove me to Adam and Avery's apartment. It was 2:30 by then.

I texted Shane:

Me: Hey, the party will start at 3

Shane: Okay, I'm almost done with the cake, it surprisingly doesn't look too bad

Me: Great, see you later

Shane: See ya

I texted Avery:

Me: I'm at your front door

Avery: Okay, I'll get the door

Me: Okay

I got out of the car and Mr.Walker helped me take in the supplies. We carried it to the front door of Avery and Adam's apartment.

She opened the door, "Hey, Adam is still in his room playing with the cat, or he is sleeping, I can't tell."

I nodded, "Okay, good."

I unpacked everything and set it all up. I guess we were ready for a party.
