Evan's POV:
"Alright enough of these boring dramas you like and let's watch a movie!" He urged me to comply.
"Alright fine, what do you wanna watch? Any genre recommendations?" I mocked in a playful tune, whilst twirling my long black hair in between my fingertips.
"Hmmmm ..."
Lucas was deep in thought, he was really taking this movie thing seriously. I chuckled at his way he moved his lips left to right in a cutesy way.
"What about a horror? Ahhh I know. Let's watch a vampire movie! Pretty fitting right?"
"What? Are you serious? No way, I don't want to cringe throughout the entire film." I rebuttaled, closing my eyes and crossing my arms in an absolute no.
"Awww... come on it'll be fun!" Pouted the small blonde boy. His eyes sparkled like a thousand stars reflecting on the ocean. "Pretty please."
Before I knew it we were watching a vampire movie and it was extremely boring. Well apart from the amazed facial expression from Lucas next to me. Everytime the main vampire love interest came into shot he tensed up and wiggled his toes in anticipation. 'What was so good about this movie? They spent half the film just staring at each other'. But whatever it was, Lucas enjoyed it and that was good enough for me.
At certain points Lucas would get startled in scenes and jump a little. It was adorable as ever but it also made me feel super tough cause he ended up clinging to me. I didn't mind of course, but he was pretty hesitant about doing so.
I also spent the entire moving picking out the false information about vampires, how they would burn or sparkle in the sunlight. 'Bullcrap, sunlight doesn't affect me at all. Or how vampires could turn humans into vampires easily. No, it's much more complicated than just a bite. The human has to consume vampire blood and die, it isn't even a 100% success rate either. The older the vampire who gave the blood the higher the chances.'
Sometimes there were other things about vampires that just made no sense in movies like garlic or holy water as a weakness.' What even is that? If you held garlic up to a vampire they'd just think you were making fun of them and kill you.'
So it's simple really, don't believe everything from these corny vampire films. It's more likely it's some bullcrap to build plot in the film than realistic.
The credits started to roll down the screen indicating the end of the film. 'Thank lord it's over, I wasn't even paying attention to half the plot cause I got bored but the endings are always the same.'
My thoughts were cut short by Lucas yawning and raising his hand to cover his mouth. 'How cute!'
"Tired?"
Lucas turned his head to face me, his eyes were drowsy and blinked slowly. I took that as a yes and picked him up bridal style.
"Woah!!..w-what are you doing?...P-put me down!" A pink colour flushed across his cheeks as he stumbled on his words for release.
"Nah, it's alright I don't mind carrying you to bed. You're like a cute sleepy little kitty!"
His cheeks went bright red at the last comment.
"W-what!"
I plonked him down on the bed and he did a little rebound bounce on the mattress.
"What? nothing wrong with being a cute kitty." I teased as I tucked him into the covers and planted a gentle kiss on his forehead. His cheeks glowing bright red at this point, from all the embarrassment. I chuckled at the sight.
"Good night." I hummed in a playful tune. Holding the door handle and waiting for a response before I closed the door.
"....night..Evan." He mumbled loud enough for me to hear if I had human ears.
With recognition of the mumble I closed the door gently, without a sound.
'Oh my god, he's sooooo adorable!' I squealed to myself before I too fell asleep on the couch.
