Drowning Day
an annoying sound was heard, it is like beeping like... i opened my eyes to see where it came from, then i remembered that i set up an alarm, my Compal is beeping with a time showing '5.00 P.M' I've been asleep for a while. i got up from my bed and scrub my watery eyes.
Alex is still sleeping.
then the next thing i do is turned on the lights. the entire room is now lit. then i heard Alex groaned a little
"gallade" he mumbled clearly
"it's already late," i tell him
"huh?" he said to me with telepathy now, he got up from the bed and stretches his arms.
"Why aren't they back yet?" Alex added
"well... I'm not sure"
"should we find them?" Alex said
"yeah, le-"
"TOCK-TOCK!"
a knock was heard from the door, it was a sound as if a wet cloth just hits the door...
oh! it's Curtana!
i turned to the door and opened it
"Curtana, why are yo-" i cut off when i see that Curtana is wet with a smell of salt
"C-Curtana, why are you wet? did you get in the sea? you will get rusty!" i added, then Alex came to the door as well and see him wet as well
"well... i could explain" Curtana said to us, then he moved back from the door and show Lucario wet as well! but Marie isn't
"Hi!" Lucario said
"Lucario... why are you wet as well?!" i added
"are you okay?" Alex said to Lucario
"yeah! I'm fine!"
"Something happened while we're at the beach!" Marie said to us
"well before you tell us... let's get you cleaned up first, especially you Curtana" i added, then Curtana looks down as if he failed something.
i took my bag and bring out a cloth and a bunch of oils
"Alex, can you clean Lucario in the bathroom. there is shampoo in there for a pokemon" i said to him, Alex nodded back
"wait! can i help you too!" Marie added to Alex
"Okay, but i show you how first" Alex replied
"Yay!"
then i went to a table with Curtana as they are coming inside the bathroom,
"you remember the drill?" i said to Curtana, then he nodded.
then i grab him by the handle and start wiping some salt out with the cloth that i had.
the rest is just me cleaning a sword.
while Alex and Marie wash Lucario.

that took a while, i already polished Curtana and clean his 'hand' cloth. i am now using the hairdryer from the bathroom to dry Curtana's arm,
then i heard the water shower stopped, and see Lucario came out from the bathroom with a towel covering his entire body with his spike seems to be poking out. Alex and Marie then came out as well. the bathroom let out a soap-like smell with warm temperature coming out from it, Lucario now smell's nice!
"hey! I'm clean now!" Lucario cheered
"yes, we know," Alex said happily
then i finished drying Curtana's hand
"there" i finished cleaning Curtana
"thank you" then he floats up, he is now shining
"wow! that's bright!" Marie said,
"thanks" Curtana thanks
"Okay..." i said to myself, then i got up from the chair
"now, can one of you tell us what happened when we're asleep?" i ask them
Lucario raises his arm
"oh! i could!" he replied
then i sit at the bed, Alex sits beside me, then Marie and Curtana floats above us. were all looking at Lucario who is about to tell us the story
"so, we're walking outside-" Lucario then starts the story

the three of them are going out of the hotel.
after they are out.
they are traveling towards the beach with Curtana leading
"wow! the sky is clear! and the air is fresh!" Marie cheered, Lucario nodded Happily
"well... you are lucky you can breathe" Curtana said, a bit dissatisfied
"hey... i haven't known you really well, can you tell us when did you find Justin?" Marie said to him. Lucario then got excited
"well... i didn't find him... he found me"
"huh? how?"
"It wasn't much... it was fifty years ago, when i was minding my own business, i was suddenly grabbed by a pokemon... i didn't remember which species is... but i was lunged into a rock. i was unable to get out. i also lost my sheath, many tries to get me out of that rock. Pokemon and humans, but i was scared back then. i absorbed their life energy when i was grabbed, some left me and some died... after many years passed, i almost accepted my fate as being useless... until a kid grabs me and tries to release me. i was tired and unable to move, then suddenly. i felt part of my body free, i woke up and see a kid looking at me, he was worried. then he ran to somewhere, i was still unable to do anything. i blacked out... then suddenly i was awake at a house, it was his house. he was with a kirlia, when i see that he saves me. i promised myself to never be useless. because my purpose is finally here, Justin... gave me purpose... the purpose to protect, to attack, and to live" he finishes
"oh..." Marie and Lucario were left speechless.
"hey look! there are the beach" Lucario talks as the area is clear, he also pointed somewhere.
Then the two ghost looks at where he was pointing and sees a coast. there were not many people there since it is work time, and with the temperature that they expect would be hot. but it wasn't! it was perfect!
"wow! this place is amazing!" Lucario happily said as he walks on the sand
"It is very amazing" Curtana calmly replied
"The first one to reach the water wins!" Marie said, then she quickly flies towards the sea
"Hey! not fair!" then Lucario dashes towards the beach as well
"w-wait! don't go there!" Curtana quickly flies to chase them
Marie was ahead, But Lucario quickly catch up
"what the!" Marie blurted
Lucario is now ahead. he quickly jumps to the water and landed on the shore
"i won!" Lucario said to Marie as he raises both of his arms as a victory pose
"aw..." Marie groaned
"hey! don't go in there!" Curtana yelled
"huh?" Lucario didn't hear what he said, he walks back.
walking deeper into the sea
he was at waist level!
"The water is very nice!" Lucario said to them
"aww... i wanna get in there!" Marie said to her self
"Lucario, get back here!" Curtana said,
"that's not safe!" Curtana added
"aw... come on! it's not that de-" Lucario cut off as he was suddenly grabbed and disappear into the water!
"L-Lucario?!" Marie said worriedly, she starts to look around
"oh no!" Curtana quickly dives in the sea
"C-Curtana!" Marie yelled
Curtana was underwater, he felt discomfort as he was inside the salty water, he looks around under the water to try to find him. then he sees a tiny bunch of bubbles floating up, he looks from the source of air and sees...
Lucario's leg is being dragged underwater by a Sharpedo!
"Lucario!" Curtana yelled underwater
Lucario sees him and tries to call him, he doesn't seem to be hurt. suddenly the Sharpedo let's go of him with all of his teeth broken... Lucario tries to swim back up... but he didn't know how to swim! Curtana is getting closer to him, the Sharpedo quickly swim away when Curtana is close,
Lucario is choking in the water! he's drowning!
Curtana quickly grabs him and lifts him up from the sea...
...
they made it!
"Lucario!" Marie yelled at the distance and flies towards them, Curtana carries Lucario to the shore, he is not moving!
after Curtana has reached the shore with Marie, he dropped Lucario to the half-wet sand, he is not breathing
"Lucario! are you okay?!" Marie yelled
"oh... please" Curtana pleaded
...
then suddenly Lucario coughed out some water, he is breathing again!
"oh my gosh! Lucario!" Marie screamed, Curtana sighs heavily and drops to the ground in relief
Lucario then sits up and looks around
"ah... what just happened?" Lucario asked
"you just got attacked by a... shar-what?" Marie said confused
"sharpedo..." Curtana said as if he is out of breath
"oh..."
"Okay... now i don't wanna be in there " Marie said to herself
"well... I'm still fine, it's just an accident"
"I'm not..." Curtana blurted
"huh?"
"you could have drowned! i tried to tell you to not get in the water... and yet you didn't listen!" Curtana yelled
"C-Curtana"
"I've could lose you... i don't want to break my master promise!"
"Curtana... that's enough" Marie interrupted,
"i..." Lucario stopped
Marie then sigh at both of them
"let's head back home" Marie suggested
then Lucario stand up and started walking out from the beach still wet, with Marie following. Curtana followed behind them, then they didn't talk for a while.

they are still traveling towards the hotel, it is still quite far.
it has been quiet for a while, it was getting late.
"Curtana?" Lucario whispered
Curtana then looks at him
"I'm sorry, i should have heard you... i was too excited since it was new for me" Lucario added
"it's okay... it was unexpected" Curtana replied
"so... you're okay?"
"yes, i am"
"there you go!" Marie blurted out
"Finally, this awkwardness is out!" Marie added
"well... that is a bit... sassy" Lucari- since when he learned that word!
"hey! what did you say?"
"Hey, let's calm down. we're almost there" Curtana said, then both of them looked at the hotel that was seen in the distance.
"hey! were near!" Marie said excitedly
"yeah!" Lucario cheered
then they went on the hotel

"After we went in... were here!" Lucario finished
"oh... so... you got bit by a sharpedo?" i said to Lucario
"yeah!"
"Does your leg hurt?"
"well... it does sting when i got bitten back there... but it was fine after that!"
"huh... that's weird"
"what is it?" Alex added
"well, a Sharpedo jaw can break steel very easily... it is weird to not see any major damage to Lucario's leg" i explained
"huh... how much strong is it then?" Marie added
"well... it could sink a boat easily with making a big hole in it, which is why some ships upgraded it's hull so that it won't happen"
"uh... what's a hull?" Marie added, then i sighed
"I'll tell you later"
then i heard a stomach rumble... it was mine
"oh... i guess we should eat," i said to them
"OH! what kind of food do they have here!" Lucario added
"well... there is a lot, like lots!"
"wow! i can't wait!" then Lucario throws his towel at me, and i catch it right before it hit's my face, then he dashes towards the door and leaves the room
"hey! wait for me!" Marie then follows him
the three of us just waited...
"let's eat" i got up from the bed and the rest nodded at me, then i put the towel back and headed out of the room,
the two of them are standing right in front of the elevator door, waiting for us
"Curtana," i said to him, then he looked at me
"thank you for protecting him... you haven't failed our promise" then Curtana is back being happy. while on the way, i returned him to his Pokeball since he wanted to
"Hey... Alex"
"yeah?"
"should i return Marie as well?"
there's a pause
"I'm not sure. i mean... i prefer her to stay outside"
"But... if she kept rejecting me... she might be... "
"..."
...
"Okay... I'll try to convince her"
