The Puppets

Everyone looked surprised with the announcement.

"What? The Black Council is attacking so soon?" Lilith says surprised.

"Wow that's not good!" Kana says.

"Yes now settle down. Let me explain." Levi says while standing, waiting for everyone to settle down.

"Now then, about the attack. Supposedly from the information we got from the scouts. Groups of enemies are forming outside the walls. They seem to be moving this way and should be here in two days from what we know."

"In two days? Are we really prepared for that?" Lilith says.

"I am not sure, but what I do know is that we have a different objective." Levi says.

"What is our objective then?" Urumi says.

"Settle down, let me get to that." Levi says, pulling out some documents. He picks out one and pins it to the wall. Levi then points at the paper.

"Kerem Guanor. The man behind the attack on Carcasir. He is leading the attack on Ilagend too." Levi explains.

"That bastard! I would love to kill him." Lilith says in anger.

"Yes we all would. Now the plan." Levi looked more serious.

"They are located in this city actually..We are going to storm the base and take him out while everyone else is distracted and defending the walls."

"So this is an assassination mission?" Lilith says.

"Yes, you could say that."

"So that is why you choose a small group." Kana says.

"I just don't like working in big groups, so I decided to choose the most powerful knights here and make a squad…. Anyways back to the main topic. Currently we have no clue what Kerem's power is, but i've heard he has one of the 31 demon swords."

"What are these demon swords." Yusuke looks up, now seeming to be more interested in the topic.

"I am not entirely sure what they are, but it is clear now that the Black Council possesses at least one."

"Actually I might have met someone with one." Lilith says. "He stabbed himself with the sword and got some weird power."

"Really?! who was he?" Levi says.

"He called himself Ace, and pronounced himself as a 4th ranking officer. Me and Shiro were attacked by him when we went to rescue Dion." Lilith explains.

"Ace, shit this is very bad." Levi says worriedly. "That shit bag works for "real" Black Council."

"Real? What do you mean." Shiro says.

"Well let me explain. The guys working here are a subdivision of the Black Council. These guys are not the ones pulling the strings. There are higher ups and we only know a few names, Ace works for them." Levi explains. "We only know Ace because he has been here for a while, but I didn't know he would make a move."

"Do we have any idea where the higher ups are even located?' Lilith says. You can see Yusuke go back to relaxing, looking bored.

"No, they are not that stupid to give away there location… But there is a chance Kerem might know, and Ace… But our best option is to avoid Ace at any cost. He might not be that high of a ranking officer, but those guys are fierce." "I am surprised you two escape from from him. You guys got lucky." Levi says surprised.

"Actually a vampire came and saved me. The one that you guys have seen here." Lilith says.

"Is that so.. Only if we could find her again she would be of great assistance."

Reisa looks up after hearing that.

"Who was this vampire?" Reisa says.

Shiro looks over at Reisa.

"She is the queen's daughter, her name was Yui." Lilith says.

"The queen's daughter is here!? That is a surprise, I would love to meet her." Reisa says with a surprised expression.

'So her name was Yui' [Levi thinks]

"So if you ever find her, please bring her to me… Anyways we will talk more about this tomorrow, so you guys can go."Levi says.

Everyone got up, and started to walk out the door.

"Shiro before you go take this." Levi says handing him a red and black Sanctuary uniform. "We all wear color coded uniforms in this division."

Shiro takes the uniform, waves goodbye and walks away.

"Wow that was a lot to take in." Lilith says.

"Yup." Shiro says walking away

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing." Shiro kept walking.

'He is weird.' [LIlith Thought] walking the other way.

'I need to get to the infirmary to get those blood packs Lilith was talking about. I don't want to uncontrollably transform again.'

Shiro begins his walk to the infirmary, suddenly getting stopped by an arm. The boy was wearing a grey and black Sanctuary uniform. He had black hair and red eyes.

"Who are you?" Shiro says.

"What? You already don't recognize me. How sad, aren't we squadmates now." The figure said.

"Your name is… Yusuke right?" Shiro says.

"Correct, you really scared me for a second. I thought you already forgot me." Yusuke says with a hysterical look.

"What do you want?" Shiro says.

"Oh nothing really. It's just that the necklace looks so interesting." Yusuke says, reaching out to touch it, then Shiro slaps his hand away.

"Whoa, don't be so hostile, I mean it's just a necklace... Right?" Yusuke says.

"This necklace is special to me… My mom gave it to me."

"Oh wow really… I'm sorry.." Yusuke says with a sad but hysterical look on his face.

"It's fine."

"....I don't know how many people you think you are going to fool with that story." Yusuke says with a serious expression.

"I'm not lying."

"I am not dumb, I know what that necklace does… You are hiding your true appearance." Yusuke says.

"No I" Shiro gets cut off by Yusuke.

"Don't try lying to me again, how fucking stupid do you think I am." Yusuke says with anger, reaching out for the necklace quickly. Shiro slaps his hand away and steps back.

"Haha, I was just kidding. I don't care who you really are, but just to let you know… You better not associate yourself with me at all. I am here for my own business." Yusuke says walking off.

"Who the hell even is that guy. He had red eyes, but looked human." Shiro says. "I will have to keep an eye on him."

Shiro starts his journey to the infirmary. After a few minutes of walking he reached the Medical branch of the building.

"Now I just got to look for their storage." Shiro says.

He starts to look around, sneaking. He goes from door to door peaking in. After a few tries of randomly guessing, he finds the correct room.

'Finally, this is what I was looking for.'

Shiro starts to enter the room but then he hears footsteps.

'Shit someone is coming' He enters the room fast, and closes the door. Shiro then looks for a hiding spot just in case someone comes in. He waits for the footsteps to pass.

'Good' Shiro gets up and goes over to the blood packs on the shelf.

"Damn it's cold in here, there must be some ice magic item in here to preserve the blood maybe."

"Forgot to bring something to carry these, and I don't want to take too much because they will know."

He grabs three blood bags off the shelf. And wraps them in the uniform Levi gave him.

"This should help me conceal them." He walks over to the door at peaks out looking for anyone coming. He then proceeds to walk towards the exit.

"What was he doing in there?" Reisa says just coming around the corner seeing Shiro. "Isn't that the storage for blood supplies?"

Reisa having a suspicious feeling, follows Shiro.

Shiro exits the building and makes his way to his dorm. Once he enters he feels more relaxed.

"Finally I am in the clear." Shiro says.

Knock Knock. Shiro Hears at the door.

'Shit'

"Who is it?"

"It's Reisa.. From the special meeting today…"

'Shit why the hell is she here.. Did she see me?' Shiro rushes to hide the bags in his room and opens the door.

"What brings you here today?" Shiro says.

"Oh nothing, I just saw you at the medical bay and was just wondering what you were up to." Reisa says.

"Oh yea, I was there to get some supplies." Shiro says.

"Hmm ok, I know blood is the only thing stored in there.." Reisa says. "I don't know what you need that blood for, but you are very suspicious."

She then starts to walks away.

"That's it?" Shiro says.

Reisa looks back at Shiro

"Yes, I don't want to waste my time with you for to long. I have business to attend to." She then walks of into the distance.

Shiro closes the door and walks over to his room

"Damn, how unlucky for Reisa to see me out of everyone… Now I have two people suspicious of me."

-A few hours later in the heads office-

Amelia was sitting down at her desk. The door opens and Milena enters.

"Have you found anything out about who the queen's daughter is yet?." Amelia asks.

"Firstly, we have learned her name, it's Yui. Secondly, the necklace does seem to hide appearances. A knight in the special squad named Yusuke noted it. He does seem very suspicious too, so we might need to watch him. Lastly Shiro was seen in the storage room where the blood is."

"That's a lot to take in, but from all that information it does seem like he is hiding something."

Levi walks in the room.

"Have you guys already begun discussing Shiro?" Levi says.

Yes we have, I can catch you up on everything." Milena says. She starts to explain everything to Levi too.

"Hmm, that does seem very suspicious... But in a way doesn't this kind of confirm it." Levi says.

"Confirm what?" Amelia says.

"Confirm that "he" is most likely the vampire."

"We can't trust what Yusuke has said for sure… But if he is right that would make him a very suspicious person."

"That is true, but he was seen in the blood storage. Why would a human be in there?" Levi says.

"I am not sure, but all of this does point to "him" being Yui."

"Ughh, why is she trying to hide herself. She would have been of great help if she would just show herself." Levi groans. "Can't we take the necklace off and then we would know."

"I am not sure why she is disguising herself, but she has her reasons… And I don't want to force her to show herself if she doesn't want to." Amelia says.

"Well that won't stop me, I will go to Shiro right now." Levi says.

"If it is her, and you try to kill her. I won't hesitate to kill you." Amelia says with a serious look.

"Hahaha, what do you think I am evil." Levi says laughing.

"Don't act like I don't know, I know you hate the queen… And I would not doubt you would kill her daughter to get to her." Amelia says.

"I am not that stupid to kill her." Levi says walking away, with a serious and angry look on his face.

"He is a pain, but he is a strong ally." Amelia says.

-One hour later, Night time at Shiro and Lillith dorm room-

"I am actually going to be with my friend Maki." Lilith says.

"Ugh that girl."

"Hey she isn't that bad… Anyways I have to go, see you at the meeting tomorrow." Lilith walks out the door.

"Guess I am alone tonight, Hasn't been like this for a while." Shiro walks over to his room. "I should get ready for bed."

Knock knock. Shiro turns around hearing knocking at the door.

"Who is it?" Shiro yells.

"It's Levi, I would like to have a little talk."
