Xonnie

I woke up feeling warmer than I ever had. Opening my eyed I saw him. Tobin. What a handsome guy. His hair was a deep chocolate color, long and falling on his face. He had soft, little freckles that went on his nose and under his eyes. His eyes were a rich hazel, surrounded by long lashes. His jaw line was strong, and his lips..they looked so soft. I slid my hand though his hair down the side of his face and stopped at his lips. They look so soft.

His eyes opened and looked into mine.

"Tobin." I pulled my hand back and looked away.

"Good morning, Princess." He yawned.

"Good morning." He stood up and walked over to his dresser. I watched as his muscles retracted. His body was designer. Perfectly chiseled in every right spot. My eyes went down his chest. I stopped at his pant line. His pants were sagging down revealing a V shape on this lower body.

"Xonnie?" He looked over at me. I blinked and looked up at him, "you okay? I said your name a few times."

I felt my cheeks grow hot, "Yes, I'm fine." He nodded.

"Okay well, I'm going to shower and you can when I'm done if you'd like?" He tilted his head slightly. I pulled a pillow to my face and nodded.

"Thanks Puppy."

He left into the bathroom. I let a breath of relief. His pillows smelt just like him. As I thought back to when I first saw him.

It was a rainy day and I was leaving school. My house was a mile away and I usually walked. That day I noticed a man sitting in the window. He had a black hoodie on and some sweat pants. He looked sad.

Weeks past when one day I woke up and there was a box on my dresser. I had never seen it before. Inside was a note that said

"Wear this necklace as a gift from me to you. Tap it twice when there is a troublesome situation.

-Fuko"

I lifted the lid and on the inside was a necklace with a white dove on it. It was beautiful. I wore it that day. After school I went home and started on my homework. When my homework was finished I went downstairs and made food for my mother and father.

"Go to bed." They kissed my head and sent me to my room. I had tucked myself in bed and turned the lights off when my necklace started to flash. I picked it up and held it in my hands. A hologram popped up and showed the city. My eyes widened. Then the news lady came up.

"Seems we have a new villain on the streets tonight. Ryders fight alone once again." There was a pause and showed the fight. "Oh my, looks like Ryder is having a bit of trouble."

I jumped out of bed and tapped the necklace twice. I looked down as a glow took over my body. It vanished and I was covered in a white suit. I looked at myself in the mirror. My jaw dropped. My hair was a different color and I looked like a goddess from a story. Where's the bad guy. My necklace flashed again and started to pull me East. I ran to my window and jumped. A soft landing key my feet. I smiled and started to run. I ran down the street and jumped onto the roof tops. I never felt more free.

"UGLY TROLL!" I heard someone yell. I ran towards the noise. Ducking behind a chimney I saw the city hero, Ryder. His expression got sadder as the villains lips moved.

"You're going down. Alone." He laughed. It was instant. My body just jumped down, next to Ryder.

"He's not alone." Ryder looked at me shocked and Breaker took that advantage, kicking his feet out from underneath him. I clenched my fist.

"He's with me." Breaker smiled.

"Is that so? Then tell me, what is your most fearful thought?" He closed his eyes. This is our chance!

"RYDER NOW!" I yelled. And he sprang into action. I watched as he took the man down with a fatal blow. He stood up and looked back at me. He looked angry.

"You. Come with me." And he jumped into the air. He took me up to one of the highest buildings and stopped.

"Who are you?" He asked with his back to me.

"No need to be so tough, puppy. I won't bite." I teased, "My name is Dalian." I said while extending my hand. He glanced at it. "Nice to meet you, Ryder. I am your new partner."

"What do you represent?" He asked, taking my hand.

"I represent a Dove." I could tell he was studying me. Trying to sense any threats. When he leaned over and said;

"Nice to meet you, Princess." Then kissed my hand. My cheeks got warm.

"Haha, silly Puppy." My necklace started to flash. Lucky me! "Oh how sad, I must be going now." I waved, "Soar High, Puppy." And ran home.

When I got home I tapped my necklace twice and got back in bed. That was fun.

Waking up I put on one of my nicest Sunday dresses. It was my favorite one once belonging to my sister. I grabbed my backpack and headed for school.

When I arrived everyone was talking about a new student. Little did I know it was the boy in the window. I stared at him when he walking into my classroom.

"Tobin Steele." Erika whispered in my ear. I turned around to face her.

"I didn't ask." I stuck my tongue out at her.

"If you're gonna stick that out might at well lick me!" She recoiled in disgust. I smirked and leaned forward, licking her arm.

"EW XONNIE WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!" She yelled at me. I forgot what happened after that because I was watching Tobin get out of his seat and walk towards us. He spoke something but I wasn't listening. I was just watching his lips move.

"Fine." Erika and Laura said snapping me out of my trance. I turned around and left, sitting in my seat in the back of the class.

I was looking out the window when I saw a bird hit it and fall. Everyone turned towards the noise and ran over to the window.

Poor bird. I looked down at it.

"Students. Please make way to the gym." The teacher said to us. Everyone was asking questions while filing out of the room. I grabbed onto Laura's arm and walked with her silently. She was with Axel, who was talking with Tobin.

We were all crammed into the gym where the teachers explained to us. I was looking around trying to find Tobin who had vanished.

Instead I saw Ryder stepping out to greet the school board.

"Idiot." I muttered.
