Inside a luxurious room sat a group of ten. These ten individuals had their eyes glued to the magic ball displaying the war between Zero Wing and the invading super guilds.
"Zero Wing is impressive, to be able to summon a tier 5 demon, I bet even that old bastard Vendor is losing his mind," an old feeble looking man said.
"Your right, now I see why little Shadow said that Infinite Sky will fail. Her insight is truly unparalleled," a seemingly young looking woman commented.
"I think that girl thinks too highly of that guild. There up against Infinite Sky and multiple super guilds, the most they can do is resist for a short while. If we had joined we could have gained some benefits as well," a stern looking man replied angrily.
Discussion about the war went on for a little bit more between the group of people until a man who didn't look particularly old released his aura and voice.
"Enough!"
When these elders heard him they all immediately became silent, not even daring to breathe. Seeing this the man went on.
"Cold Shadow has her reasons, it's not like the guild hasn't pulled off impossible deeds in the past. Besides Eon Light is a firm ally if they win we can profit off them and if they lose we can strike with the new power we obtained and take the city for ourselves," the menacing man said.
Hearing his words the expressions of the other lit up in joy.
"Guild Leader, are you implying that the demon gods quest is complete." +
Shaking his head the man said, "we only managed to complete the third part of the quest, but we gained the support of Atlock as a reward. If Infinite Sky were to lose, it's a shame that we would have to reveal our power but the display will reaffirm our strength and teach Zero Wing a lesson," the man said with a grin plastered on his face.
The others in the room couldn't help but smile and chuckle a little. Watching the war on the magic ball, they were hoping that Zero Wing will come out on top, so that they would have a chance to showcase their new found strength to all of God's Domain.
Bermuda Islands, Rising Wing City
With the inclusion of the demon Shi Feng had summoned the battle had become a stalemate. The demon was strong enough to keep hundreds of tier 4 players at bay. With the demons own resistance, the effects of the demon ruler skill, and ring of brilliance; the suppression of the ancient magic array were practically negligible.
This forced the enemies to focus all their summon creatures on the demon. Unfortunately for them their summons could barely hold the demon back. Aside from the big difference in attributes, any demon that has reached tier 5 possess superior combat standards, skills, and techniques than even most NPCs. That is why they still remained a threat after numerous tier 6 players and NOCs were in the game.
Not to mention the demon is level 163. After level 150 monsters and NPCs undergo an earth shattering evolution while players only gain minor improvements. The reason being is at level 150 players can attempt their tier 5 promotion quest and with the potential of tier 4 and 5, monsters wouldn't be a challenge.
Seeing the demon disrupt the formation of the opposing army, the defending players took this chance to enter the battlefield. Everyone on Zero Wing's side was an expert, they coordinated with the town's defensive weapons and utilized guerilla tactics to whittle the enemy down.
The combat puppets and airships Shi Feng brought along also caused mass devastation and death among the enemy, Shi Feng had the former members of the Night Blazers adventure team guard the war weapons. Every single one of them had reached tier 4 and managed to form their own mana domains.
The difference between a tier 4 player with their own natural mana domain and one without it, is like the difference between a tier 3 player whose mana body isn't unlocked and one who has unlocked their mana body.
Not only do players with their mana domain gain an increase in power and suppress their opponents attributes, they can also manipulate the mana around them and create an environment to be beneficial for them. They can also hamper the mana control of their opponents. A mana domain is much more powerful than a domain gained from a skill book that has limited affects.
Very few players had managed to form their mana domain's, even in superpowers. Only Zero Wing had managed to nurture nearly a hundred players with a mana domain thanks to the extraordinary tower.
Netherworld Empire wasn't here for show, the Great Super Guild brought along many war weapons and ancient tools. Because of that they managed to offset Infinite Sky's trump cards one after the other. The Hell legion also managed to display absurd combat power and create multiple openings for Zero Wing to take advantage of.
Even though they were greatly outnumbered, Zero Wing had a chance of winning this.
Shi Feng on the other hand wanted to finish this as fast as possible. The only reason they stood a chance right now was because of the Ring of Gospel. Once he runs out of magic crystals the war would be over.
"Only if I had managed to master peak mana control, then this array wouldn't be a problem!" Shi Feng said.
After becoming a grandmaster magician he had gazed upon the Ring of Gospel's true power. If he had peak mana control shattering this ancient master array wouldn't be a problem for him. He decided after this he will practice his mana control and try to take the next step. +
Vendor Wind couldn't help but admire Shi Feng's capabilities. Even when vastly outnumbered and outgunned, the kid managed to retain his calm and utilize all of his assets to their zenith just like a war general with decades of experience. Not even Waking Light who is known for his tactics can compare to Shi Feng.
It's hard to believe that Shi Feng is only 22 years old and only recently entered the virtual gaming world. Not even geniuses can develop this far without some kind of support.
"Vice Guild Leader Vendor, this isn't the time to get distracted, or do you think this old man is not worthy of your full attention?," Carbon Cat quipped.
"Hahaha, Elder Carbon, there's only four people on this battlefield I respect and you're one of them. How can I not give you my full attention. Unfortunately you're on your last leg so I couldn't help but drift away," Vendor Wind replied.
Carbon Cat frowned at this. Right now he had less than a quarter of his HP left and he hadn't bought much time. He had been fighting against five true monsters. Vendor Wind and Vast Kill had managed to match his attributes and fight him head on. Elder Morning a true monster from the guild Dream Kings and Razor, another true monster from Eon Light, threw attacks at him from a distance creating openings. Then there's McClain, the man is an assassin from the Super Guild Large Crown and was incomparably fast managing to strike at his weak points causing insane damage.
Fights between true domain realm experts were a bit special. Even if it were a 1 vs 10 scenario, ten true domain realm experts wouldn't necessarily be able to overwhelm one true domain realm expert like this. In a normal fight Carbon Cat can fight these five monsters and not lose any ground. +
But there was this mage girl clad in gray and blue mage robes. Carbon Cat could tell she was only a regular domain realm expert, but her spells were evil. Her spells only affected him even when it made contact with Vendor Wind and the others, and the mana this girl radiated actually caused him to feel faint and light headed and he lost concentration with every second that passed. He couldn't utilize his senses at all.
Vendor Wind smiled at Carbon Cats frustration, Indigo was doing her job well. She had a very unique peak class meant for cursemancers called Magic Witch. He didn't understand the class at all but Indigo Stream was very useful against monster level experts
He had assumed Netherworld Empire would send more true monsters that is why he brought Indigo along but he had worried for nought. Once Carbon Cat was killed they can slowly finish off the other experts and take control of this war.
Carbon Cat straightened up and with an undying look in his eyes he said, "it seems I can't hold back any longer! I was saving this for my rematch against that brat from the Flower of Sevin Sins but you forced my hand!"
Even he felt the threat of death and knew he had no choice. He activated his berserk skill and legacy berserk skill, going two fold berserk and releasing a terrifying aura.
Sensing this the others were about to activate their berserk skills as well till Vendor Wind stopped them. "Don't activate your berserk skills yet! We need to save them for BLack Flame and his vice guild leaders. Just kite him and treat him like a boss monster, he won't last for long!"
"If you think I'm that easy to deal with then you're mistaken! Now come!"
Both of Carbon Cat's berserk skills were very unique. His legacy berserk skill only lasted fifteen seconds but the boost to his attributes allowed him to fight above his tier in those seven seconds and nullify all negative status ailments he has. His other berserk skill came from his staff. While this berserk skill only increased his vitality, intelligence, and endurance by 50% and his strength by 40% it also liberated his staff, allowing him to access the special legendary weapon's true power.
Carbon Cat charged at Vast Kill and Vendor Wind, both of them were tier 4 berserker and aside from Indigo, they posed the most threat to him.
"A mage charging at a berserker for a head on fight, you disappoint me Elder Carbon!" Vast Kill said. He had wanted to fight Carbon Cat in a one on one but couldn't let his desires get in the way of the mission.
He then swung his greatsword and five sword lights accompanied the blade and collided.
Silver combat technique- Heavy Slice
The power of this swing was so great that space froze as if it were afraid of this attack.
"Hm! You're still to young Vast, you haven't mastered that combat technique yet," Carbon Cat said to him. He knew the technique Vast Kill is using. Heavy slice required a person to create ten sword lights and collide them to execute a devastating attack. Vast Kill only managed to create five sword lights, in this way Heavy Slice only had the power of a bronze combat technique. +
If Vast Kill had entered the ascension realm he can maybe pull the technique off but the man only reached the truth realm.
After reaching tier 4, using bronze combat techniques became common amongst domain realm experts but without reaching the ascension realm a very minuscule amount of domain realm experts can perform silver combat techniques, true domain realm experts were no different.
The fact that Vast Kill can perform a fraction of this technique goes to show the man's talents. But talent won't always win a fight.
Carbon Cat didn't even try to evade the attack and instead swung his staff at it. This surprised everyone, there's no way a staff can match the power of a greatsword, but just as everyone expected Carbon Cat to get pushed back, his staff changed.
The red stone on the staff glowed and It suddenly became a wooden greatsword almost twice the size of Vast Kill's greatsword. When the two weapons slammed into each other Carbon Cat managed to overwhelm Vast and push him back.

As a berserker equipped with the best equipment and weapons the game has to offer, an advanced bloodline, and a peak legacy that mainly boost his basic attributes this amount of HP he had lost was small compared to the nearly five million HP he had in total. But the fact he had been overwhelmed to such a degree by a mage in a contest of strength made him flabbergasted.
Carbon Cat didn't stop there, as Vast Kill stumbled back and nearly lost his footing, Carbon Cat dashed pass Vendor Wind and raised his wooden greatsword high. As he slammed the weapon down, this time he incorporated a combat technique into it.
Bronze Combat technique- Instant Slash
The wooden greatsword then disappeared. Carbon Cat had reached the ascension realm and had learned the more easier silver combat techniques but he wasn't confident in using them in battle yet, so he is sticking with bronze techniques for now.
The attack was so fast that Vast Kill hadn't had time to react. Just as he was about to get hit a shadow had appeared behind Carbon Cat and created a blurr as it swung its daggers at him.
Carbon Cat only sneered at this. The red stone on the hilt of his wooden greatsword glowed once again, "don't think I didn't predict this McClain!"
Carbon Cat changed his footwork and managed to dodge the sneak attack. This stunned McClain, not because of the dodge but because of Carbon Cat's speed. even if Carbon Cat had used an amazing movement technique and has the attributes of a tier 5 player the man was only a mage. His speed shouldn't eclipse that of an apex assassin like him even with tier 5 attributes.
Carbon Cat appeared behind McClain and slammed his two wooden daggers at the old man. McClain was shocked, "when did he get daggers!" He was forced to use a life saving skill to defend himself. Even though his equipment standard is only slightly lower than Vast Kill and the others as an assassin he barely had four million HP.
When the attack hit McClain the assassin didn't lose any HP. Vendor Wind and the others finally came to assist. Carbon Cat's strength was the real deal. He managed to overwhelm these true monsters forcing them to activate their berserk skills in order to keep up. +
Every time he attacked his staff changed forms. With that brilliant red glow two daggers appeared in his hand and he dealt quick damage to the Vendor Wind and Vast Kill. Or a bow magically graced his fingers as he shot quick arrows at Elder Morning when the man was about to use a spell. For any scenario the man had a weapon for. The only problem was that he couldn't harm Indigo Stream. Vendor and the others constantly protected the girl.
With 2 seconds of his twofold berserk left, Carbon Cat knew he had to finish this. He turned his weapon into a staff and did a quick incantation.
Philosophy Break
This was a skill from his staff and also his last trump card. A domain that extended 40 yards around him turned everything in it grey. All mana was under Carbon Cat's control. The other felt helpless sensing this, they knew this spell would kill them. Vendor Wind on the other hand gave Carbon Cat a sly smile.
"I admit you are a powerful old cat but don't forget you're not the only mage here."
Indigo Stream who was outside the domain finished reciting her incantation.
Tier 4 legacy super skill- Silent Death Mana
A laser of black light instantly hit Carbon Cat and all the mana in the man's body disappeared canceling his spell. Not even his peak gold mana body had any mana left forcing him to collapse on the ground. If it wasn't for a special effect of his staff the man would be dead.
Carbon Cat looked sickly and in pain as he lay there on the floor, the surrounding Netherworld Empire players wanted to go save their guild elder but they were stopped by over a dozen enemy experts.
He managed to look up in frustration at Vendor Wind. Vendor Wind then gave him a mocking grin and said, "Old Cat, you were a tough opponent but no one can stop Infinite Sky's rise. Don't worry I'll surpass Olympus Palace for you and Zero Wing as well so don't wallow in grief."
Vendor Wind then raised his spear about to deal the finishing blow. As his spear broke the sound barrier and made its way for Carbon Cat's skull he stopped halfway. Vendor Wind along with Elder Morning, Vast Kill, McClain, Razor, and Indigo Stream all turned west towards an awe inspiring aura.
As their gazes stared in that direction they saw a young man dressed in black slowly walk towards them. As if he just exited a thick fog no one bothered to attack him but people continuously fell at his feet.
As he stepped over the corpses of his enemies the man looked mysterious and cold
On his right hand he held an immaculate blue long sword that released a torrent of blue energy that entered his body. On his left was a powerfully elegant long sword as black as night and emitted a fog of darkness. +
Even though he was surrounded by death and destruction it did nothing to taint the man's calm and vast aura. His deep eyes with a hint of silver in them looked at the group.
This man was Shi Feng, and as he looked at the five true monsters before him the world seemed to stand still. After a moment he said.
"I may be inexperienced, but allow me to play this game as well. It looks fun."
