2769 Overwhelmed

After hearing Shi Feng's comment the five true monsters looked at him then each other then burst out laughing.

"Hahahaha did you hear him!"

"Yeah Hahah, he wants to join in on the fun! How absurd!"

"We can't blame him guys, his guild only just became a superpower. The kid is still ignorant of the hierarchy of greater powers."

Hearing their snide remarks and laughter the Zero Wing members in the vicinity grew angry. This was their guild leader those guys were ridiculing, how dare they!

After calming down Vendor Wind wiped the tear from his eye and said to Shi Feng, "Guild Leader Black Flame, forgive our rude behavior. It's just that you don't stand a chance against all five of us."

Shi Feng didn't let their laughter and words get to him, instead he unsheathed the Abyssal Blade.

Darkness Domain

Strands of darkness made their way for Vendor and the others and while most of them effortlessly evaded the attacks, Vendor Wind still looking at Shi Feng stabbed his spear at Carbon Cat once again. As the spear made its way for the man's head it suddenly changed its attack trajectory.

Like an agile snake the spear made a hard right and sparks lit the area. A figure flew a few meters away. This figure had been Link Wonder, a former member of the Night Blazer adventure team. She had no idea how she got detected but she quickly noticed the signal from Shi Feng telling her to leave.

Vendor Wind then brought his spear close to his chest and twirled it, creating an impenetrable shield. None of the strands of darkness managed to touch him.

"What power! Even though I have my berserk skill active, my hand still went numb." Vendor Wind teased

Shi Feng gave the man an uninterested look as he disappeared from where he stood. In the next second he was at Carbon Cat's side then teleported with him. Shi Feng brought Carbon Cat to the city walls.

"What kind of spell did they use on you? There's no mana in your body at all," Shi Feng said in wonder. "Elder Carbon rest here for now. We will need your combat power later," Shi Feng then got up and was about to leave until Carbon Cat stopped him.

"Guild Leader Black Flame, don't try to fight them all at once. Try to split them up and take them out one at a time," Carbon Cat advised.

"That seems to be impossible; they won't let something like that happen. Besides, even if I do manage to split them up, they will use that time to slowly kill my guild members. I have to finish this here and now."

"Don't be rash! With your combat power you can easily beat them one at a time but it's impossible for you to fight them all at once. When multiple true domain realm experts work together, they can display heaven defying strength. Sacrifices are necessary sometimes! As long as you're still standing, you will win in the end." Carbon Cat told Shi Feng.

"Elder Carbon, you may be right, but Zero Wing isn't like other guilds. We are weak, we don't have anyone supporting us, and everywhere we turn there is always a powerful enemy waiting to destroy us. With an important battle like this, a loss here can spell the end of my guild." Shi Feng said.

"That's even more reason to take your time. Don't Rush head first into this," the old man said to Shi Feng.

But Shi Feng just ignored him and looked at the war, amidst the destruction and death he looked at his guild members fighting desperately. With pride in his heart he said to Carbon Cat, "even though we're weak, even though we have no background. Zero Wing is still here. We've managed to become what we are today because when the odds still seemed impossible we still fought. We let it be known that the impossible is meant to be overcome."

As if a fire lit in his eyes, Shi Feng looked toward the five monsters waiting for him and continued. "So what if they're true domain realm experts, so what if they are from a heaven defying power. That doesn't change what I have to do! Besides, how will I know I can't win if I don't try?" Shi Feng then jumped off the city walls and made his way towards Vendor Wind and the others. +

Carbon Cat had his mouth agape, he truly admired Shi Feng. But admiration won't win a fight. As he was recovering he spoke in Shi Feng's direction, "then rise above it Guild Leader Black Flame."

Shi Feng quickly ended back up with Vendor Wind and the others. "Sorry for the wait. Now let's start our game." He activated Heavenly Dragon Power and went to a battle position.

Elder Morning only shook his head in disappointment and said to Shi Feng, "young man, I admit in a one on one, none of us will be your match. But with all five of us and that little girl working together, you won't even be able to touch us."

None of the others tried to refute Elder Morning. They are well aware that Black Flame has ridiculous attributes that they can't match. His combat power easily eclipses theirs. But when five true domain realm experts work together, not even a monster like Shi Feng is a threat to them.

Shi Feng smiled at them, "well then educate this junior on why that is."

"Hm! I was just like you once. I'll do you a favor and show you how ignorant you are of the greater world," Vast Kill volunteered himself and made a straight dash for Shi Feng. He didn't use any fancy technique or skill and just stabbed his greatsword towards Shi Feng's chest.

Wherever his greatsword passed it left a trail of heat allowing one to see waves in the air, causing a phenomenon known as refraction.

In response Shi Feng started a maneuver to parry the attack and strike back but then he felt danger. Instead of trying to counter the attack he decided to dodge. Quickly he changed up his footwork and like a subtle breeze moved from where he was standing.

In the next instant a cold gleaming dagger swiped where his head was. Again another trail of heat waves appeared where the dagger passed. "How did he manage to get in my blind spot?" As he was confused by how McClain managed to enter his blind spot he noticed the grin on the elderly assassins face.

For a second Shi Feng was confused but then he noticed he had stepped in a magic circle. The circle glowed a crimson red then a pillar of fire rose up devouring him.

Shi Feng was quick and he activated instant strike and disappeared from his location. Before he could even reappear Vendor Wind shot his spear at Vast Kill and Vast Kill spun around with his sword.

Tier 4 sure kill skill- Radiant Stab

Tier 4 sure kill skill- Thunder Whirlwind

Shi Feng appeared next to Vast Kill side and was planning to overwhelm him with his speed, but he saw a glowing spear splitting apart space and coming right at him, while a tornado of electricity almost engulfed him.

From the looks of the attacks he could tell they were activated the second he disappeared. Shi Feng brandished his swords.

Sword Transmigration

Star light surrounded Shi Feng and all three attacks collided. Shi Feng flew and hit a nearby tree. He glared at Indigo who acted like she did nothing wrong. Normally when he uses a combat technique, the ambient mana gathers towards it and strengthens the technique. This time that didn't happen with Sword Transmigration, otherwise he wouldn't have been overwhelmed like that. This was clearly the mage girls doing. Luckily he only lost a few thousand HP.

What really astounded Shi Feng was what just happened. He could easily deal with Indigo's meddling but those true monsters were something else. Even if his combat standards were weaker than theirs, he should have enough control over his body so that they couldn't predict his actions. But as if they could see the future they managed to react and overwhelm him just now.

This is completely different from how he normally fights. Shi Feng bases his actions on his opponents subtle movements, but these guys don't even need to sense his movements and fight as if they are making an educated guess on what he will do. +

Also wherever their blades passed left a trail of heat almost as if they burned the air. Shi Feng knew what this was; this wasn't some amazing skill or combat technique. It was a result of perfect body control. Whenever a person swings their weapon they will create a sound as the vibrations pass through the air. While this sound that's created may be intimidating; it signifies the loss in power of that attack.

Refinement realm experts can create soundless attacks proving they haven't lost any of the power in their attacks. This is why even if a refinement realm expert has weaker attributes than an ordinary expert it will seem that the refinement realm expert's attack is stronger. As a person progresses through the realms of refinement they retain more and more of that power and obtain better ways to enhance it.

A flowing water realm expert will be able to use flowing water acceleration putting more force behind their swings and increasing their attack power even more. A void realm expert will have rudimentary control over their surroundings and won't face the resistance of the environment as they execute their attacks. Domain realm experts take all three concepts to the next level.

But these guys have gone even beyond that and managed to not only keep the power in their swings, they somehow managed to enhance that power as well. That enhanced power actually creates a heat wave wherever the attack passes causing refractions in the air.

So even though Shi Feng has higher attributes, he can't generate the same level of power as they do.Getting back up he swiped the dust off his armor. Glancing at Indigo, he then activated forbidden domain.

In response Vendor and the other activated their mana domains, nullifying the effect of his silencing spell.shi Feng also activated his mana domain and because his mana control is superior to theirs he alone managed to counter the mana domains of six people. Forbidden Domain will at least keep Indigo from messing with the mana.

"not half bad brat. You've proven yourself and deserve for us to take you seriously." Vendor Wind and the others then took out potion bottles and downed them.

"Ancient Gods Blood potions!" Shi Feng recognized the blood red glowing liquid in those bottles.

In his past life Silent Aspirations had created a master berserk potion that everyone coveted called God's Blood. The inspiration for that potion came from Ancient God's Blood. An ancient master berserk potion that could only be found in ancient ruins. These ruins are usually located in death lands in neutral maps that normally serve as player tier 4 promotion quests.

The potion is finite in God's Domain and because of that, the boost in power rivals a peak class's two fold berserk. The great thing about the potion is that it can stack with other berserk skills as well.

Shi Feng immediately activated Blade Saint Power and forced himself to tier 5. He wanted to save this for wiping out the rest of the army but he had no choice, and two fold berserk was definitely out of the question.

Vendor Wind and the others launched their attacks. Sword light and magic spells bombarded Shi Feng. At first Shi Feng would use holy devour to block the onslaught of attacks, but his opponents easily maneuvered themselves out of harm's way. They constantly suppressed his attacks and entered his blind spots.

Shi Feng had ridiculous defense so he only lost a little HP but it managed to stack up. Eventually he was down to half of his HP.

"Activate the battle array," Vendor Wind said in frustration seeing Shi Feng barely lose any HP.

"But the battle array was meant for Carbon Cat."

"Forget him! He's in a weekend state anyway, we can finish him off at any time."

Seeing the reasoning behind those words, all six of them activated their battle array, boosting their attributes. Now the difference in attributes between Shi Feng and his opponents were nearly negligible. Shi Feng only managed to cause damage by forcing these guys to block his attacks before, now he couldn't.

At this point Shi Feng was overwhelmed. He had lost all of his advantages, even though his every action had the power of an advanced combat technique, advanced combat techniques offered little resistance against true domain realm experts.

If he had reached the transcendental realm and his every action would have the power of a bronze combat technique, he would stand a chance. Unfortunately he hadn't reached that level yet.

With less than 30 seconds left on Blade Saint Power, Shi Feng activated Gale Domain, sky rocketing his movement and attack speed. He then performed sword orbit. Normally when he uses sword orbit he can only create up to twenty stars at a time. Now he managed to create nearly forty at once.

A Galaxy of stars encompassed Shi Feng creating a beautiful display. Even Indigo Stream couldn't help but appreciate the mesmerizing scenery of the technique. To her it signified the end of a flame that will soon extinguish in star light.

"Black Flame, your undefeated legend ends today. Zero Wing can only glance at Infinite Sky from our throne now!" Vendor Wind mocked Shi Feng.

Even though they couldn't see through this sword orbit they didn't have to. They easily directed their attacks past each star as if they knew where it would appear beforehand. They slowly took chunk after chunk of HP from Shi Feng.

Shi Feng felt helpless. "Does it all end here?" He thought to himself as he swung his swords as hard as he could.

He had done the best he could. He had made Zero Wing a superpower and become the idol of many experts everywhere. He had created a legend and turned into those apex experts he had looked up to in his past. Even if he loses here Zero Wing can always make a comeback.

As the stars created by sword orbit lessened and lessened, Shi Feng's attacks grew weaker. At this point he had only around 10% of his HP left, one good hit will end him.

As Razor and Vast Kill were about to deal the final blow Shi Feng finally remembered why.

It was for his parents who supported their son till their deaths in his past life.

It was for the people, Blackie, Aqua Rose, Violet Cloud, Fire Dance, Gentle Snow, Zhou Rouxi, Phoenix Rain, all of Zero Wing, who had repeatedly put their faith in him.

More Importantly it was for himself. To wash away his mistakes, failures, and regrets of his past life. A promise to never live an oppressed life ever again.

Even if the heavens wanted him to fail today, he will succeed.

Shi Feng closed his eyes, calmed his heart, and controlled his breathing. As he did he only created 14 stars at time. Sword orbit was meant to create around 14 stars anyway.

Just as Razor and Vast Kill were about to deal the finishing blow a black and blue star light shot down their attacks.

Next it was Vendor Wind, he thrust his spear at Shi Feng creating 10 spear images that had lives of their own but Shi Feng only need five stars to nullify the attack.

No matter how many times these true monsters struck Shi Feng a star light will shut down their attempt. They couldn't get rid of that final 10% of HP he had left. Vendor Wind was the first to notice. He saw that Shi Feng didn't seem as pressured as before.This sent chills down his spine. +

He suddenly jumped away from the fight and yelled, "everyone move back, there's something wrong-"

But before he could finish, Shi Feng abruptly opened his eyes and as his foot slammed on the ground he disappeared. Before anyone can even react, 28 sword images stacked on top each other. The sword images them transformed into a lightning arc, wherever this lightning arc passed the air around it would get burned causing refractions.

Gold combat technique- Divine Equinox

Before Vendor Wind and the other could turn their heads, they heard the sound of thunder enter their ears. When they finally managed to see what it was, they saw Shi Feng standing next to Elder Morning lifeless body.

All five had their eyes open in disbelief. Elder Morning is a true domain realm monster. His equipment standards rival theirs, meaning he should have multiple fragmented legendary items on him and maybe a legendary item as well. Yet Shi Feng still managed to one shot him, it was unbelievable.

Shi Feng looked at Crown Sword in his hand. "In order to use Divine Equinox, I need to stack 34 sword images at once. Looks like I'm almost there!"

As he said that Shi Feng practiced his swings. Each swing of his sword burnt the air causing refractions left in their trail. Vendor Wind and the others started to enter a cold sweat, from a glance they knew that Shi Feng had entered a whole new level.

After he was done practicing Shi Feng looked back to his opponents and said, "you guys had fun beating me up just then." The others could see the bloodlust in his eyes.

"You ready to get overwhelmed? Time for round 2!"
