Chapter 36

Two months have passed since the recording of "Wuji" for Lan Zhan's drama "Unrestrained". Wei Ying was going to be graduating in a couple of weeks, during the two months; he has been receiving many calls and emails from many different companies asking him to sign under their agency. They all say that after hearing his song, they would like him to sign with them so that they can give him more opportunity and that his voice was a gift from God. But he told them that he would need time to decide since he has many things that he needed to do before he was going to graduate.

Right now, Wei Ying, Jiang Cheng, You Zhangjing, Nie Huaisang, and Lin Yanjun are hanging out at a bar.

"Can you believe that we are finally graduating?" says Nie Huaisang

"You are graduating with us?" asked Lin Yanjun

"Yes, I am."

"How, you always fall asleep in class."

"I don't know, I got a letter saying that I was graduating with my classmates for our year."

"Wow, I beat you bro paid them to let you graduate."

"Haha."

"Hey don't say that about Nie-Xiong, he has been practicing very hard. Give the poor man some credit," said Wei Ying

"Thank you Wei-Xiong."

"Of course Nie-Xiong."

They drank a couple more bottle before leaving, You Zhangjing and Nie Huaisang were drunk.

"Guys, I'm going to take You Zhangjing home," says Lin Yanjun

"I don't want to go home." proclaimed drunk You Zhangjing

"Too bad."

"Yeah, I'm going to take Nie-Xiong back to the dorm too."

"Wei-Xiong, I don't want to leave. I'm going to be lonely."

"Sigh, Nie-Xiong; we still have a couple of weeks left."

"No… Argh…"

"Come on Nie-Xiong, you just had to throw up didn't you."

"Ugh, I don't feel good," Nie-Xiong whined

"Of course you don't."

"I'm more surprised that you haven't tipped over yet," said Lin Yanjun

"He has a tolerance of steel."

"I'll take that as a compliment."

"Well, I guess it is time for us to get going."

"Okay, be careful on the way home."

They go their separate ways, Jiang Cheng goes with Wei Ying and Nie Huaisang.

"Congratulations, by the way, I hope that in the future you will have many opportunities and all the love that you want. "

"Thanks, I hope you and Lan Xichen will be happy together for as long as your relationship lasts."

"Hey, don't say that; you're making it seem like our relationship won't last."

"I'm just saying you have to get him before it's too late. "

"What do you mean?"

"You have to ask him before it's too late or else he might get turned off and break up with you. "

"I… I have no comment for you."

"Haha, well see you later Jiang Cheng."

With that, Jiang Cheng got off at his stop.

When Wei Ying and Nie Huaisang finally got back to school, Wei Ying asked a security guard to help him carry Nie Huaisang back to their room.

"Thank you, sir."

"Your welcome."

The guard left and Wei Ying threw Nie-Xiong onto his bed.

"Nie-Xiong, you are really something else."

Wei Ying goes and takes and shower before heading to sleep. He was happy, anticipating graduation. Cause after that, he will be getting married; Lan Zhan is almost done shooting for the "Unrestrained". He just couldn't wait to be able to call Lan Zhan his husband.

"Sigh, what a good year it has been."

With that, Wei Ying fell asleep.

*Time Skip*

It was the day of the graduation, everyone was getting ready; everyone was dressing their caps and gowns. Everyone was very excited, the graduation was held indoor in the big auditorium. The seats were filled with parents and friends and many other people. The guests were seated behind the graduates.

"I can't believe this is finally happening," says Wei Ying

"Shut up, you are starting to sound like Nie-Xiong," says Jiang Cheng

"Shut up Jiang Cheng, I see those little tears fighting to roll down your face."

"Shut up you two, it's about to start," said someone from behind them

Wei Ying and Jiang Cheng stopped talking and watched the stage. They saw their principal start to walk to the podium.

"Hello, I am Damian Gilman; the president of "The Juilliard School of Music"." There was some clapping coming from the students and the guests. "We are here today to celebrate the graduation of the class 2020. It has been a tough year, but the students who are here today are going to make it big in the world."

There was more clapping to be heard from the audience.

"Well, let's get this ceremony started."

The head professor of the drama division came to the mic.

"I am proud to able to say the names of those of the acting department who are going to be graduating this year."

"First up is Wen Junhui, please come up and get your diploma." (Seventeen's Jun)

"Next up is Melanie Kim, please come up and get your diploma."

After 10-20 more names were called, it was finally Nie Huaisangs turn."

"Next up is someone who I thought wouldn't make it, but he proved me wrong and is now going to be following his fellow students onto this stage. I am proud to present Nie Huaisang."

Nie Huaisang walked up to the stage and gave the professor a big bow and a handshake.

"I am proud of you, I knew you could do it."

"Thank you."

Nie-Xiong took the diploma and once again bowed, and walked down the stage.

After Nie Huaisang's turn, there were still 40 more students to be called. When the professor finished with the drama division, it was up to the dance division. A couple of Wei Ying other friends Lin Chaoze, Hsu Kaihao, Derek Lam, and Renie Smoke; were all part of that division.

Soon enough it was the music division to get onto the stage. Wei Ying, Jiang Cheng, Lin Yanjun, and You Zhangjing were all part of the music division.

"First up is Lin Yanjun, congratulation."

After 10 people went, it was Jiang Cheng's turn.

"Next is Jiang Cheng, congratulation."

After 20 people went, it was You Zhangjing's turn.

"Next is You Zhangjing, congratulation."

Soon enough, it was Wei Ying's turn to go onto the stage.

"Last but not least, the little trouble maker but great singer; Wei Wuxian."

Wei Ying went up to the stage to thank the principal and the professor. When he turned to look at the audience, he saw something flash in front of him. He was blinded for a while, but he soon realized that it was Lan Zhan with a very big camera.

"..."

Wei Ying looked away and started to walk down the stage. Last but not least was the Liberal art students, there weren't that many; so the ceremony ended soon after. The principal walks back to the podium.

"Once again, congratulation to the class of 2020."

Everyone began to 'woo' and throw their hats into the air.

*Time skip*

Everyone went outside to meet up with family and friends. Wei Ying went running out of the auditorium to go and find Lan Zhan. He just went to where the most screaming was coming from, he knew that is were his Lan Zhan was.

"Lan Zhan,"

Lan Zhan turned to face Wei Ying, he pushed past the fans and he gave Wei Ying a hug. The fans stood there shocked while some were squealing.

"Lan… Zhan… let me go, I can't breathe."

Lan Zhan quickly lets go of Wei Ying.

"What are you doing here?"

"To see you."

"Awe, are you a cute fuddy-duddy."

"Mhm."

Wei Ying took Lan Zhan's hand and took him to find his other friends. When they met up, everyone was taking pictures and crying.

"Hey guys, Lan Zhan came to see our graduation."

"He didn't come to see the graduation, he came to see you," said Jiang Cheng

"Mhm."

"Hey, don't be like that; your man is over there with some of the other students. Why don't you go and talk to him?"

"Hmph, maybe I will."

With that, Jiang Cheng walked over to Lan Xichen.

"Hey Xichen, what you doing."

"Hey, Jiang Cheng; I'm just signing some yearbooks."

"Hey, who are you; don't you see that there is a line," said one of the students

Jiang Cheng looked at the line and scoffs.

"I don't need a line to talk to the professor."

"Y-you, who do you think you are?"

"He's my man, that is who he is," said Xichen

The students and Jiang Cheng gawked at Xichen.

"Now if you'll excuse us, I'm going to go and talk to my man."

With that, they left the students watching in dumbstruck. Xichen was smiling, while Jiang Cheng had a concerning face on.

"Are you okay saying that?"

"Yeah, I'm fine; who cares about what the students think of me. You are my man, so I'll tell everyone, you are my man".

"Thank you."

They hug each other, not wanting to part.
