A new contract

"Yes, you can guess. I can only leave this place if I'm contracted to someone." The fairy confirmed Hugo's conjectures.

"But why me?" He was still doubtful. Why would something as fortunate as gaining a contracted fairy happen suddenly to him? He was still befuddled.

"Because you're the only human I have met since I was born. And better you than a colonialist." She grumbled; her shoulders slouched.

Hugo's brows became creased as he made sense of Freya's response.

[Maybe, the whole of Eclista is about to be overrun by the colonialists.] He speculated.

"I don't know how you managed to find your way here. And that was truly due to your luck and ability. But as you can see, the others will never be as friendly as I am towards you humans." She added while smiling at Hugo.

"But why?" Hugo was perplexed by the fairies' animosity.
