A Failed Exam

"What a terrifying lady!" Freya exclaimed. The gap in space that had been created by the Matriarch's spell had just closed behind them. It had carried them from the Dark Forest to an environment of marshes and aquatic plants.

"Can you gauge how strong she is?" Hugo inquired while surveying his new surroundings. The rain had already ceased falling in that part of the jungle. The afternoon sun had begun bathing the marshes in warm light. There seemed to be no dangerous calamity beasts lurking anywhere close to his position. However, he activated his invisibility out of an abundance of caution.

"I can't tell just how strong she is," Freya replied after a while. "But she seems to be a lot stronger than any of the dragons I encountered in Eclista. She might be a peak empress or maybe a sovereign. I can't be sure."

"Even you can't tell?" Hugo was surprised. He had encountered a few things that could elude the fairy's exceptional senses.
