Once the barrier was in place, the thumping on the ship's door stopped. Hugo did not rest on his laurels. He knew that he was still in danger since he was aware that there were several abnormally strong creatures lurking in the fog outside.
"Freya," he called out to the fairy in his Indre-Sinn. He needed her. There was no way to access the mana crystals unless she retrieved them from her trinket.
But the fairy didn't reply.
Hugo summoned Freya's spatial trinket from his Indre-Sinn only to find it coated by a layer of dark fog. It was way too similar to what had choked him when he descended into the Dark Canyon. He tried to send his esper sense into the spatial trinket; however, the darkness barricaded it from entering.
[Was my Indre-Sinn also been affected by the darkness?] Hugo was in a dilemma.
