Ch.2

"I didn't know what happened, I was drunk."

"We were just partying then that Merida girl, who's Timothy's boyfriend suddenly screamed."

"Someone died?"

There are so many students at the party, so many to interrogate.

The incident of Timothy Green being murdered at a party gave Roy Edward Adams a headache.

This detective was in the area because he was looking for a specific murderer.

And this incident gave him a lead.

Screening it off to the students at the party who's related to Timothy and have a grudge against the guy, it came down to 9 people.

The other students said that there are so many people who have a grudge on that guy.

But the particular ones that are at the party are at least 5.

Justin Taylor, Kevin Leonhart, Jenny Morgan, Hailey Pearce, and Paris West.

"I was drunk that night, a drunk person can't even take a straight walk nevertheless kill someone so skillfully like that." Justin stated to Roy inside the interrogation room.

"If you want a witness, ask Merida and Nathan. They told me I've been with them the whole time until I was sobered and woke up in the bathroom after vomiting." He added.

Roy took note to ask Merida Allen about it.

"I was drunk passed out on the floor, many people witnessed that, you can even see on their social media. Those fuc–" Kevin muttered angrily.

"Christian invited me to the party but he's together with Hailey the whole time so I was basically alone drunk." He said as if he has a grudge on the guy.

Roy let him off the hook for now. But was going to keep an eye on the short-tempered kid.

"I want the guy dead but I can't possibly do something that horrendous to Tim." Paris West said while crying.

"He bullied me, accused me of being a whore making all the students do the same, no wonder anyone wants him dead." She added still crying.

Roy noted to keep an eye on this kid.

"I was with Christian the whole time, Merida and Nathan even saw us together when they placed Timothy in the room to sleep, he was pretty drunk." Hailey stated.

"We hated the guy, he harassed me, touching me on places I never liked before. Even though I'm together with Christian. I told Christian but he can't do anything but secretly hate him since Tim is too strong for him to fight." She added bursting into tears.

Now Roy added Christian on the students who have a potential murder intent on the guy.

"I hated that guy, but I hated Merida more than him. He dumped me because of her. And now look at what happened." Jenny Morgan scoffed at the incident that just happened.

'Such an attitude.' Roy shook his head at the teen.

"He harassed my girlfriend, bullied my best friend, He have all the reason to die. I hated the guy and was following his footsteps out of fear. But I can't do that to him, embarrass him and prank him in front of the school is enough of a revenge for me but killing him like that. That was twisted." Christian admitted.

"I admit that it was the reason why I invited Timothy, to get revenge and prank him, but me and Hailey got a little distracted and forgot about it, that's when we were seen by Nathan and Merida while they were carrying Timothy." He added.

Roy can't help but think how much of a work this is than the last murder.

He had a intuition, that it was the same murderer from before.

Just from the clean cut on the chest and eyes being stolen from the victim, it was the same murderer.

The last murder was a couple of doctors. Surgeon, specifically.

They don't seem to have a child and no one have a grudge on the both.

But there were witnesses of someone coming out of their house.

And so Roy looked it up on the cctv and saw that there was someone in a hoodie who came out of the house.

There were no fingerprints, blood, or clues on who the suspect was. Just that the suspect went to move in this area last 3 years ago.

"You're Bryan Ward?" Roy asked when the boy sat down in front of him.

"Yeah." He just said pretty messed up from last night's party.

Or just earlier this morning.

"Where were you last night?" Roy asked.

"I remembered asking Tim to drink, then I got drunk so all the memories are kind of hazy. But I remembered drifting off to sleep and being sober a bit. I went upstairs to at least sleep some more without even saying a word to Nathan and Merida who's on the couch with me that time." Bryan stated.

"Who're your witness on going into a room?" Roy asked.

"Oh I didn't reach the room 'cause I was distracted with a guy I know hanging around the stairs." He explained.

"But I saw Merida come in Timothy's room and come out alone, I didn't mind since she's his girlfriend so I ignored the room for a while. But took notice of it again when I accidentally spilled the water Merida brought." He added.

"I didn't said anything but she just laughed it off and went to Timothy's room again, and that's when I heard her scream." Bryan finished.

"You have a sharp memory for someone who's drunk." Roy smiled proudly.

"My tolerance is high, and I got sobered that timeoi." Bryan just shrugged.

Roy let Bryan off the hook for now and invited in Nathan Knight.

"So you're Nathan Knight... friends with Timothy Green." Roy looked at the files.

Nathan just sat there calm and waiting.

"So where were you last night?" Roy asked for the hundred time this afternoon.

"I'm with Merida the whole time, have been taking care of Bryan and been looking out for that Justin kid, Merida's best friend." Nathan explained.

"How's Timothy at school?"

"An asshole. I don't care what he do though, it's not my business so I never stopped him. Didn't know it will kill him someday." He stated.

"Do you have any suspect in mind?" Roy asked to the calm boy.

"Too many to count, but the people you asked to stay were the ones I suspect the most." He answered with a shrug.

Roy nodded and let the kid go.

And now for the last interrogation, the victim's girlfriend, Merida Allen.

She have been crying all this time though she have calmed down a while ago.

"How are you feeling Merida Allen?" Roy asked worried.

"Kind of shitty." She answered though Roy feels like she's a type of girl who doesn't cuss so much.

"Would you mind asking me what happened last night?" Roy gently asked.

She nodded, "We entered the party and there we saw Timothy's gang, Bryan asked Tim for a drink which he gladly accepted leaving me with Nathan the whole time, I agreed anyway so it was fine. We didn't drink that much since we have to take care of the two." She said referring to the ones who got drunk.

"After a while, they came back to us drunk and Tim slowly drifting off to sleep. Me and Nathan left Bryan on the couch while we carried Tim to a room for him to sleep and sober up. That's when we saw Christian and Hailey. After leaving Tim to sleep, we went down again to check on Bryan again and that's when I saw Kevin drunk dancing in the crowd."

"When we got back, Justin is sitting on one of the couch drunk. We let Bryan and Justin sleep for a while to sober and when they did, Justin went to the bathroom as he said. And Bryan left without a word, though when I went to check on Tim the first time I didn't notice him at the stairs, I just noticed him the second time when I was bumped by him making me spill the water for Tim. And when I opened the door... There he was..." Merida cried once again.

Roy told her to drink some water which he took from the dispenser they have inside the room.

"I-I've always loved Tim... and he loved me too with all of his heart." She cried some more leaving Roy to pity the girl.

To have someone dear get stolen from them.

Such a pity. Roy shook his head.
