Easy Win

Morning had come to quickly for Ben he was groggy and cranky the lack of sleep made him mean as a honeybadger.

So when they were walking to the stone clan village he was very silent, in fact all of them were quiet, not a word spoken as they woke up.

Ren was just thinking that everybody had the pre war jitters, after the attack the night before Ren felt extremely confident that he could take on the evil with no problem.

Confidence is key he thought, we all need to be confident, we can do this Ren said out loud

we got this guys we will annihilate this evil from this world and take back what is ours.

Everyone in the group stared at Ren for a second and then cheered, Ben looked at Ren and smiled well well well Ben thought, he didn't think he had it in him to motivate anyone.

But something must've made Ren more confident maybe it was the battle last night.

Using his powers made him feel like a new person.

A powerful person who is going to get more powerful as we age.

The cheers were a welcome surprise for Ren,

who was doubting his own actions for a second.

Angry face then chimed in, he didn't want to be a leader without a motivational speech, as they walked Angry face kept rambling on.

Ben was lost in thought as they traveled.

After a mile or so they heard animal's screaming in the woods, nor from fright but from pain.

They followed the sound and soon found the animal's and a couple of lizards writhing in pain

Ren walked up and they paid no attention as Ren froze the the animal's until they were a block of ice as he was freezing a lizard it said thank you before being frozen, that brought a tear to his eye, these were innocent beings they had no problem with anyone they just wanted to live their lives, probably in peace and now they are going to be ashes, condemned to death because someone wanted more power, more land ,more religion, typical the innocent suffer because someone wanted more.

Ren then thought I killed so people can have more but it was more freedom, am I a hypocrite cause I killed so people can have more freedom.

Being lost in thought Ren wasn't paying attention to the bodies that now had a foot of ice on it and Ben said hey how long are you going to freeze that thing Ren looked down and stopped immediately, said sorry and started to use his fire spell. What is wrong with that guy Ben wondered his mind is in a different time zone.

The bodies were in mid transformation so they were pretty much harmless.

After all the evil was destroyed the group decided to go to the stone village.

The streets were empty and the gate's are locked Angry face yelled come out and meet your heros

but nobody even opened a window.

Scared of the evil the village was closed tight not even a guard posted to the gates was around.

Cowards you won't even acknowledge that we saved you from a horrific death Angry face yelled towards the village.

The group started to gather up their supplies and and stow them away. Ren looked towards the village and wondered what was really going on,

climbing a tree near the village Ren sat and looked onward towards the village, no birds were singing and the wind wasn't even blowing, movement caught Ren's eye and he focused on that , it was several slaves walking around the village, they looked lost, Ren shouted to them but that made them more confused as they could not see him, Ren then shouted to open the gates, two older looking slaves slowly made their way to the gate and slowly opened it .

Ben rushed in looking for anything to fight and finding no opponent decided to calm down and ask a few questions, by then Ren had jumped down from the tree and watched as Ben interrogated the frightened slaves.

Getting only a fixed glare from the slaves Ben started to investigate the village.

It look as if everyone just picked up and left there was a pot of food burning on a smoldering fire, the fire was out but the coals were still very hot it's like they had left only a couple of hours before the group had arrived.

Looking around Angry face had located the shamans tent and went inside. Coming out a few minutes later with a few books and vials of some kind that looked like fruit punch.

Laughing the whole time, like a child that had just stolen a cookie from the cookie jar.

Opening one of the books Angry face started to chant to one of the vials in a matter of seconds the vial had started to bubble and then turned to a brown purplish color, Angry face yelled down the hatch and drank the liquid, ohhh its making my stomach feel nice and warm, Ben stared at Angry face and was amazed at what he saw, the age lines on Angry faces , face were disappearing and his skin was getting tighter his pot belly was gone ,then Angry face fell to the ground in a heap.

Ben rushed over to him and helped him up Angry face had gotten younger from the liquid in the vial, wow a potion that gives you youth, Ben thought, Angry face got up and looked at his hands and felt his face, I am young again, I am back on my prime wow I feel like I am twenty five again. Ben's mouth hit the ground as he realized that Angry face was younger.

What did you expect Ben asked Angry face,

well I thought it was a weight loss potion, you know cause you were so fat.

Angry face started to laugh at the thought.

And Ben just did a nervous laugh as he looked at Angry face.

So was this your plan to steal the potion from the start, or what Ben asked.

No it was just an opportunity, I heard rumors of a secret concoction that stopped aging and reversed it I didn't think it was this potent

As the group looted the village .
