Death or is it

Ren opened up his eyes and looked up into the smiling face of his mother not Rebecca but the one he called mother ever since he was a child where am I Ren asked, his mother shushed him and said that he was helping his father in the field and the horse kicked Ren in the head and he had been knocked out for a few days.

Ren sat up and immediately hugged his mother it was a dream Ren thought a terrible dream, that would explain all the different things that happened to me. it was my imagination. Doing all of those strange and wonderful things and having an annoying twin brother who thought that he was a God and having powers that no human had any rights to superhuman strength and fire powers and freezing, Ren was relieved that he didn't have to fight the darkness anymore,

sitting up his head was swimming and he felt the urge to puke welling up inside of him but he fought the feeling and stared into his mother's eyes, and said I missed you, it seems like its been months or years since I last saw you.

Take it easy Ren you have been through a lot of things in the last few days you need to rest, Ren laid down and closed his eyes, then opened them up and asked where's father, look out the window his mother replied Ren looked and saw his father digging a hole, why is he digging a hole Ren asked, because his mother said,as she slowly turned her head , Ren looked at her and realized she had a reptilian face and said its your GRAVE, Ren sat up in his bed sweat pouring down his face it was dark in his room, a flickering candle was on the far side of the room, it was still very dark in his room, by the doorway of his room Ren can hear whispering and looked in that direction and saw two pairs of glowing eyes watching him. Ren wanted to pull the covers over his head and hide, what would Ben do if he was in this situation, so Ren yelled what do you want from me , the eyes turned into dark silhouettes just standing in the doorway and replied in a rough voice we want your flesh.

Ren concentrated with all his might to produce a fire spell but he just looked stupid holding his hand out and pointing it at the silhouettes, they started to laugh at Ren, your powers don't work here boy , you see this plane of existence we rule we say what happens, the room shifted to a cave like room with a giant fire in the middle of it Rens bed disappeared and he landed flat on his butt Ren looked down and saw the claw mark on his chest bleeding into his shirt. Ren looked at the beings that were the silhouettes but now looked like a couple of gaseous black mist , staring at the evil mists Ren asked is this a dream.

No the mists said in unison, this is the border of life and death. Why did you bring me to this place Ren asked, because you are most comfortable in this place and we need to feed on your dreams and your fears, why are you telling me this Ren said, because we need you to be scared, and telling you , you will be in constant fright.

Too afraid to die and afraid of us.

We can feed off of you for a long time, we can feel alot of fear in you.

Ren felt the fear creeping up his spine and the gaseous forms squealed in delight, more they said more.

Then Ren heard a voice it sounded distant, an echo .

It sounded like someone was telling Ren to fight, ok what was that Ren thought, it sounded like Ben, where is he Ren thought and started to look around in a panic , ooooooh what feeling is he giving off right now , panic it is a different kind of fright, oh this panic is better than fright said one gaseous form to the other.

I like fright more, its more filling panic is more of an appetitizer than the main course.

Oh great stuck in this place with a couple of connoisseurs .

Ren thought, ugh whats that feeling said a gaseous form , I don't know i never encountered that feeling before.

I don't like it ,make him stop, the echoed voice can be heard again, Ren started to follow the voice and he saw a light in the distance, the voice was coming from the light, what are you doing kid you go that way and you will die .

Lies you are lying this light makes me feel better, happy even Ren was near the light could see Ben holding a shirt to Ren's body and crying, Ben was barking orders to heal Ren, a warmth swept over Ren and he started to float towards the light going faster and faster until he slammed back into his body making his whole body jerk out of Ben's arms and hitting the ground.

He's alive Ben shouted, Ben scrambled to pick Ren back up and hold him tightly to himself, your squishing me Ren said, let go i need to breathe.

Ben dropped Ren accidentally and Ren groaned in pain, Ben then kicked Ren in the butt and said don't ever scare me like that again, a healer close by started to laugh and lost his concentration and stopped healing for a second and Ren grunted at the pain in his chest.

The healer immediately started to heal him again.

Ben realized now Ren was safe, time for some pay back the dragon must die.

Ben's eyes narrowed as he approached the beast

grabbing the wings of the beast Ben tried to break them but the bones are extremely strong and flexible, they must be cut off,

Ben then grabbed the right forearm of the and with all his might snapped the bone closest to the dragons body and repeated the process with the other appendages, Ben then was sitting staring at the dragon and replaying everything in his mind realized that the dragon also used his tail during flight.

Maybe if I break the tail in several places it won't be able to fly anymore.

Can't hurt to try Ben said, well it won't hurt me.
