Island X (2)

Soon, they arrived at Island X.

This island was not what Hua Ruolan imagined. Hua Ruolan and Lu Qian came down from the plane.

"Young master Lu, Young Madam Lu...welcome to Island X" a man wearing a military uniform greeted. Hua Ruolan nodded in response.

"General Zheng is waiting for you" the man said as he led them into the island.

"General Zheng?....tell me he's joking" Hua Ruolan said in astonishment.

"No" Lu Qian answered.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?....tell me... I'm I dressed properly?...is my make up too much?....maybe I should have...."

"Hua Ruolan!!" Lu Qian shouted as his face grew dark.

"Why are you shouting at me?....I just want to look good in front of him" Hua Ruolan said as she pouted her lips.

"You want to look good in front of another man?..." Lu Qian asked. He started regretting why he brought her here

Hua Ruolan blinked twice and said

"Hubby.... don't be mad... it's my first time seeing General Zheng in person so I need to make a good impression"

"Why do you need to make a good impression in front of him?" Lu Qian asked.

Hua Ruolan pressed her lips together and didn't say anything. She just followed him quietly.

Zheng Chao had just finished talking to his subordinates when Lu Qian and Hua Ruolan walked in.

"Cousin....what a pleasant surprise" Zheng Chao said as he hugged Lu Qian.

Hua Ruolan's face that was beaming earlier became expressionless.

They're cousins?. How the hell did that happen?.

Zheng Chao's eyes shifted to the gorgeous woman beside Lu Qian.

"Cousin in law....what a pleasure" Zheng Chao said as he held her hand and kissed it.

Lu Qian's face became unpleasant. Hua Ruolan blushed.

"You can call me Ruolan" Hua Ruolan said smiling.

"Ok" Zheng Chao said.

"I dare you to call her that" Lu Qian said as he folded his arms.

Zheng Chao saw his cousin's unpleasant face.

"I'm sure Young Madam will do"

"Anyway why are the both of you here?" Zheng Chao asked.

"Did you hear what happened to Mu Feng?" Lu Qian asked as he made Hua Ruolan sit down on the chair.

"Of course I did" Zheng Chao answered.

"How did you hear that?" Hua Ruolan asked.

They were in a remote island. How did he hear about that.

"Cousin in law... that's confidential" Zheng Chao said with a smile.

Hua Ruolan nodded and didn't say anything.

"I think they've started moving again" Lu Qian said.

"What do you mean by 'moving again?" Hua Ruolan asked

"Apart from running an enterprise, Old Master Mu also sell weapons secretly" Lu Qian answered.

"What?!!" Hua Ruolan asked in shock.

"Few years ago, we discovered that someone was interfering with the transfer of weapons from another military base to Island X"

"We later found out that it was the Mu family" Lu Qian explained.

Hua Ruolan was still confused

"But how did he know about these weapons..."
