An hour later, Adam arrived at Felix's house with Orion and Felix on his shoulders.
"Is this your house?" [Toban]
"Nope." [Adam]
Rummaging in his pockets, Adam pulled out a key and unlocked the door.
"...May I ask why you own a key for a house you don't own?" [Toban]
"I just do." [Adam]
He walked in without elaborating, leaving Toban somewhat confused.
("That's… not much of an answer.") [Toban]
After entering the house, Adam laid Orion and Felix on the living room couch.
"Aurora! Are you here?!" [Adam]
He yelled loudly, enough to make Toban cover his ears.
"What?!" [Aurora]
A voice was heard upstairs, along with footsteps approaching.
"What do you want?" [Aurora]
A little girl strolled down the stairs, still wearing her pink bunny pajamas.
"Who's this?" [Toban]
"That's what I should be asking." [Aurora]
"There's no point in introducing each other. Aurora, do you have Roy's number?" [Adam]
"Yeah? Why?" [Aurora]
"Can you call him?" [Adam]
"I thought you had his number?" [Aurora]
Adam shook his head.
"There was a chance, but nah. I don't want him in my contacts." [Adam]
"What? I'll have you know that he's a very-" [Aurora]
"I know, I know. You can fawn on him all you want later. Just call him for me." [Adam]
Aurora's face turned a bit red. Without another word, she handed Adam the phone.
"It's unlocked. Just call him." [Aurora]
"Already on it." [Adam]
Scrolling through the contacts, Adam became a bit lost.
"...I don't see him in your contacts." [Adam]
"Oh, I changed his name on it." [Aurora]
That was when realization crossed her face and she became as red as a beet.
"Wait! Let me call him instead!" [Aurora]
She reached out for the phone, but Adam seemed to have already found it.
"...Did you put his name to Boo? Really?" [Adam]
"Waah!" [Aurora]
In a moment of panic, Aurora punched Adam hard enough to send him flying.
"Agh!" [Adam]
He tumbled across the room, but he managed to realign himself mid-air.
"Huh? You're still standing?" [Aurora]
"I didn't train with you for nothing." [Adam]
Not only did he withstand the blow, he also kept the phone in hand.
"You've gotten better…" [Aurora]
"Yep." [Adam]
("It still didn't tone down the pain though.") [Adam]
He rubbed his stomach, which was still throbbing with pain.
"With that out of the way, now calling Boo." [Adam]
Pressing the call icon, the phone began to ring.
"...Is he not going to pick up?" [Adam]
"No clue. I've never called him before." [Aurora]
"What?" [Adam]
He looked at her in dismay.
"You have his number, yet you've never called him?" [Adam]
"I was nervous, okay?!" [Aurora]
It was then the phone stopped ringing.
"Yo what's up my homies! Sorry if I'm not there, just call me back another time. By the way, don't leave a voicemail. I don't read those." [Phone]
The phone played a recording of Roy's voice, then ended the call.
"...Are you serious?" [Adam]
It was then that they could hear a knock from the front door.
"Huh? Is Sebastian back already?" [Aurora]
"I'll get it." [Adam]
Making his way over to the door, Adam swung it open.
"Yes?" [Adam]
"What's up? You rang?" [Roy]
There stood Roy, smiling with his usual mischievous look.
"Would've been mighty nice if you answered your phone, you know, like a normal person." [Adam]
"True, true." [Roy]
Leaning to the side, Roy peeked into the house.
"But, y'see… It doesn't look like your situation is quite… normal." [Roy]
"...Shut up and get in." [Adam]
"Now that's what I'm talking about." [Roy]
