Let Me Help!
Adam suddenly found himself in a rather dimly lit room. The walls seemed to be made of concrete, and filled with casual furniture and shelves full of daily necessities.
("Where am I?") [Adam]
Taking a quick glance around, he saw many familiar people. It appeared that Aurora, Tiffany, and Roy had been waiting in such a room.
"Ah, there he is." [Aurora]
There sat Aurora, lazing about on a couch.
"You must be wondering where you are." [Roy]
Adam nodded.
"We're inside Sebastian's bunker. You know, the one he never let us in as kids." [Felix]
"Oh. That one? He gave you permission to use it?" [Adam]
Roy laughed.
"Nope. I opened it up for us." [Roy]
Adam stared at Roy for a moment.
"You know, I would be surprised by your shamelessness. Sadly, it's not impossible for you to do something like this." [Adam]
"I'll take that as a compliment." [Roy]
Pointing finger guns at Adam, Roy searched through a cabinet.
"Felix, do you know where the snacks are?" [Roy]
Felix ignored him.
"In any case, Adam. This is where we'll stay until everything outside dies down." [Felix]
"What? Wait, how come we're not going to a shelter?" [Adam]
"It can't withstand this kind of invasion. If you were to look outside, it'd be like a miniature version of the Great Collapse." [Aurora]
Adam was dumbfounded.
"We're just going to let people die?" [Adam]
"...That's all that we can do." [Felix]
Adam clenched his fists.
"I'm heading back out there." [Adam]
"Stop." [Felix]
Grabbing Adam's shoulder, Felix stopped him in his tracks.
"Listen. You can't save everyone. You're not even a hero." [Felix]
Glancing at Tiffany, Felix expected her to say something. She seemed a bit panicked as to what to say, so Felix tried another method.
"Say, what do you think Tiffany?" [Felix]
Adam looked at her with confusion.
"Hold on. No one told me how she got here." [Adam]
"I… wanted to show you my soul weapon. I didn't realize you weren't home." [Tiffany]
Felix rolled his eyes.
"Then the rift opened, voidlings came out, yadda yadda yadda, this doesn't matter. Tiffany, tell Adam to stay." [Felix]
Tiffany twiddled her fingers nervously.
"Actually… I agree with Adam." [Tiffany]
"Huh?!" [Felix]
Looking between Adam and Tiffany, Felix sighed.
"I know what's going on. First of all, you guys are crazy. Second, get a fucking room!" [Felix]
His sudden outburst had everyone wide-eyed. That is, except for Roy who was still looking for snacks.
"Woah, rude?" [Aurora]
"Shut up, loli hag." [Felix]
"What was that?" [Aurora]
She held up a fist, which made Felix back away.
"...Alright. Let's think about it. What can you even do out there, Adam?" [Felix]
"Kill voidlings." [Adam]
"Okay, but how long do you think those rifts are going to be open? How many voidlings will you kill until they finally close?" [Felix]
"Probably a lot." [Adam]
Felix scratched his head in frustration.
"Is there no plan in your head?! You'll only tire yourself out and die!" [Felix]
Adam shook his head.
"I get that you're concerned for me, but I have to do this." [Adam]
He turned to leave, but Felix pulled Adam back.
"No! You literally don't! Unless there was a concrete plan to close those rifts, I'm not letting you out there!" [Felix]
"Funny you say that. There is a way to close those rifts." [Aurora]
Felix froze.
"...There is?" [Felix]
"Yeah. Rifts out that size usually are operated by variants. Or rather, intelligent voidlings. Just kill them and they'll close." [Aurora]
"There's the plan. Can I go now?" [Adam]
Felix placed his palm on his face.
"Wait wait wait. You're just now telling us this?" [Felix]
Aurora shrugged.
"You didn't ask. Also, it's supposed to be confidential information so don't spread that around." [Aurora]
"...Says the person leaking the information." [Felix]
"You say something?" [Aurora]
"Nothing." [Felix]
Now that they had a method, Felix changed his mind.
"Alright. I'll help you." [Felix]
"Hold!" [Roy]
Raising a hand, Roy gave up on finding those snacks.
"I brought you guys in here for your safety. Not to plan a method to deal with those rifts." [Roy]
"Who?" [Felix]
"You guys-" [Roy]
"Asked. Who asked?" [Felix]
Roy gave him an unamused look.
"In any case, none of you guys are leaving. If something happened to you guys, Sebastian will have my head. Literally." [Roy]
Felix scoffed.
"All the more reason to leave." [Felix]
He moved towards the door, but found himself bumping into Roy who now stood in front of it.
"Leave it to the heroes." [Roy]
Felix locked eyes with Roy in silence.
"...Hey, Tiffany." [Felix]
"Yes?" [Tiffany]
"Do you want to help too?" [Felix]
"If I may be of use?" [Tiffany]
"You'll be plenty helpful, Tiffany." [Adam]
"So us three then?" [Felix]
Roy remained silent as he watched them speak. It was only until seconds later that he realized what was going on.
"Wait, you're-" [Roy]
"Warp!" [Felix]
Within an instant, all three vanished.
"...Sebastian's gonna kill me." [Roy]
