The Knight Of White And Gold

Adam suddenly found himself amidst a group of voidlings.

"Huh?! Felix?!" [Adam]

Glancing around, Felix and Tiffany were nowhere in sight. However, he did gain the gazes of nearby voidlings from yelling.

"Aw man…" [Adam]

The voidlings screeched at him. Each one seemed to have a humanoid form, minus the mixture of chicken feet and lizard head.

"They're coming. Do you need my help?" [Krino]

("Nah.") [Adam]

With confidence in his spirit, Adam raised a hand towards the charging voidlings.

"Pressure Cannon." [Adam]

A gust of air suddenly blasted the voidlings away, tearing most of them to shreds.

"Woah. When did you get so strong?" [Krino]

("Dunno. I just feel… so confident for some reaso- ow!") [Adam]

He felt a sharp pain on his back. Turning around, he came face to face with another voidling.

"You prick!" [Adam]

Without hesitation, he grabbed it by the throat and crushed its neck with added compression.

("There we go.") [Adam]

Releasing his grip, the voidling fell.

"That… was a bit gruesome. How's your back?" [Krino]

("No clue.") [Adam]

Attempting to look over his shoulder, Adam gave up. Instead, he raised a hand palm face up.

"Fuya de medicis. Heal." [Adam]

A green light emerged, slowly healing him.

"That spell… The one from that dungeon?" [Krino]

("...I knew it wasn't just a dream.") [Adam]

Adam wasn't sure whether or not the spell would activate, but doing so finally confirmed it.

("Krino. There might be another world somewhere.") [Adam]

"I would nod in agreement if I could. Unfortunately, now isn't the best time to think about that. Aren't you forgetting something?" [Krino]

("Forgetting what…? Oh! Felix and Tiffany!") [Adam]

Just as he had that thought, an enormous beam of light ascended or descended from the sky. From Adam's perspective, he couldn't tell which.

("Uh… Maybe I'll check that out?") [Adam]

The light began to fade, which caused Adam to make a mad dash before it completely vanished.

("Ah, crap. It's gone.") [Adam]

Unable to arrive before the light ceased, Adam weaved through the alleyways or made his way through broken buildings towards where he last saw it.

("Hm? This sound… more voidlings?") [Adam]

He heard screeching from afar, but was quickly silenced after the sound of something cutting through air was heard.

"...Do you really want to check that out?" [Krino]

Adam shrugged.

("Why not?") [Adam]

Following the noise, he saw Tiffany standing next to someone covered head to toe in gold and white armor.

("Oh, it's Tiffany. I guess following the light beam was right.") [Adam]

"Hey, Tiffany!" [Adam]

Calling out to her, the person wearing armor turned to him.

"Woah! What the?!" [Adam]

It turned out the armored person was not a person at all. It was simply a suit of empty armor somehow moving on its own.

"Name yourself." [Empty Armor]

A cold feminine voice echoed out of the armor, startling Adam.

"It talks?!" [Adam]

"Answer me." [Empty Armor]

It aimed an incredibly large double sided greataxe at Adam.

("Holy crap. What is that?") [Adam]

The weapon was truly mesmerizing. The greataxe head had two sides of different colors. One was white whereas the other was black. It then made a spiral of both colors down the middle until it reached the handle. The handle, which at first seemed to only be brown cloth, was actually the twisting of a tail leading to a head of a dragon at the pommel.

"Wait! Monalia!" [Tiffany]

The empty armor stiffened as Tiffany grabbed its arm.

"Why do you call my name? It is dangerous to draw my attention when an enemy is near." [Empty Armor]

"That's what I'm trying to tell you! He's not an enemy!" [Tiffany]

The empty armor tilted its head at Adam.

"Him?" [Monalia]

Two purple lights appeared within the empty armor's helmet, as if it was taking the place of eyes.

"This boy…" [Monalia]

Lowering her greataxe, the empty armor approached Adam.

"Uh… Why are you walking so aggressively?" [Adam]

Inching backwards, he quickly found himself against a wall.

("Uh oh.") [Adam]

The empty armor grabbed him by the shoulders and gazed deeply. It felt as if it was looking straight into Adam's very soul.

"You… You harbor feelings for my master?" [Monalia]

Monalia spoke in a low voice.

"What?" [Adam]

Glancing at Tiffany, Adam blushed.

"Wait wait wait! Did you just read my mind?!" [Adam]

Instead of replying, the empty armor backed away.

"It appears I owe you an apology. My name is Monalia Der Tules Irmin Sol. You may call me Monalia." [Monalia]

"That's… a very long name." [Adam]

Nodding, Monalia moved over to Tiffany's side.

"This is my master. Tiffany." [Monalia]

"Your master… Hold on. Before that, Tiffany. Did you… er… hear what Monalia said before?" [Adam]

"Hear what? I wasn't able to make out much of what Monalia said. Did… she say anything weird?" [Tiffany]

Adam shook his head.

"Nope! I uh… Well how are you her master?" [Adam]

Tiffany's eyes lit up.

"She's my soul weapon! Pretty cool right?!" [Tiffany]

"Y-Yeah…" [Adam]

Replying nervously, he glanced at Monalia.

("I hope she keeps her mouth shut.") [Adam]

"Not that she has a mouth to shut." [Krino]

("You know what I mean.") [Adam]

It was then that a loud boom resounded close to them.

"Huh?!" [Adam]

Rubble came falling like rain. Adam moved to block it himself, but Monalia simply waved her greataxe like a fan and blew it all away.

"Now is not the time to speak. We must seek shelter." [Monalia]

"Monalia? We just left our shelter. We actually came to stop the rifts in the sky." [Tiffany]

Looking upwards, Monalia went silent for a moment.

"You wish to close the realm tear?" [Monalia]

"...Realm tear?" [Adam]

Monalia shook her head.

"It will not be possible with our strength. Unless… No, that won't work." [Monalia]

"What are you talking about?" [Adam]

Mumbling to herself, she seemed to have made up her mind. She then turned to Adam.

"You. Or rather, the you inside you, is the key." [Monalia]

"...Excuse me?" [Adam]
