The Dream/Aftermath

Note:「」This means the sword: 'The Eye of the Storm' is speaking to Leon's mind, so the others can not hear the sword unless they enter Leon's mind.

Again.

The collective approached the same way with the same timing. The twelve figures starting to make their approach. Leon started to run again, so he put himself smack dab in the middle to not get too overwhelmed by one side. Although he thought that this whole thing was a facade and a dream, Leon still trembled at the sights of the forces.

As the two sides got closer and closer, a voice rumbled throughout the world.

「Leon, do not be afraid. This is simply a side effect of our connection. This is the past, there is no need to be afraid, the things you see will not hurt you. In fact, you control the space. Try to fly and get a better angle.」

Leon listened to the voice that he still was not exactly sure what it was. To his surprise, he started to float as he pictured himself doing it. Eventually, Leon had himself a birds-eye of the dream he had seen already.

Just now he had gotten back to where he left off, a giant wave of lava erupted out of the ground and to challenge it. An old man smacked down his trident summoning a tidal wave to fight the lava.

The lava and tidal wave collided and the result left a blob of obsidian that also caused a smoke bomb in a small radius around where the collision happened. However, no one took notice and the two forces slowly got closer and closer. Finally, the old man with the lightning bolt made the first move and threw his lightning at the group of rampaging monsters.

The monsters stood no chance and simply evaporated into a pile of dust. However, the rest of the horde paid no attention and kept sprinting step by step.

However, this did not deter the twelve beings, who had started to engage the monsters head-on and slaughtered them like cattle.

The two who held bows took expert aim and released the arrows like a gattling gun spewing out arrows instead of bullets. While they were both essentially the same, the man's arrows shined with a glint akin to a searing, bright ray of the sun. While the woman, shot arrows that glinted similarly, however, the arrows shined like the soft mellow rays of the moon.

The man of the pair kept firing arrows.

"My father, Zeus, are you sure confronting him is a good idea? What if we fall here?"

The old man was slinging thunderbolts like they were knives.

"If we can't stop them here, he will decimate our realm and the other gods would have to get involved. We can't afford that, we have to take him out here."

As if to answer the God, an earthquake with no comparison shook the ground as the floor started to split open.

The old man took out two thunderbolts.

"Everyone, ready! Here he comes, we have to stop him here before he approaches the mortal realm."

Handfuls of snakes the size of a mountain started to poke their heads and bodies out of the ground. Along with them, the storm quickly approached the twelve Gods. The Gods gave their mightiest war cries, however, what replied to them was simply the true definition of a monster

The snakes were revealed to be connected to a giant human torso and head. The head roared with such a horrific and macabre sound that some of the gods took a step back.

However, the old man stood his ground and gritted his teeth while trying to keep as calm as possible.

"Father of monster's you shall be no more. This is your final warning before you can not go back and we end your time."

A familiar voice erupted out of the giant creature, who was bigger than the tallest mountain or the deepest crevice in the ocean.

"HAHAHA, you twelve kill me? You are merely twelve gods, it would take at least a set of the other major gods to kill me. I will end your life and bring a calamity to the mortal realm so that not even the other gods can save them."

In answer to the giant monster, Zeus arced one of his thunderbolts right at the monster's chest, however just as it was about to collide.

*Splash*

Leon's eyes suddenly opened as the water struck his face and spilled everywhere on his shirt.

A familiar face stared at him and held a giant hammer.

"You. You had the gall to fight an Ogre as an F Tier."

Lucia's face started to get redder as she talked. Her voice kept a calm steady tone, however, her body kept giving her away. Her face had turned a shade of red in rage and her grip on the hammer could break a rock into pieces.

Leon started to stammer.

"Woah, Woah. Lucia, this is all just a misunderstanding. There's no need to bring out the war hammer."

Lucia simply started to cock her hammer to hit Leon.

"So you were found in the room inside a deep cave, to make it worse you saw corpses of E Tier Adventurers and still went in to risk your life for no reason? It's like you want to die from a hammer to the face."

Seeing how Lucia was reacting, Leon knew it was a lost cause.

"Now, now. You wouldn't injure an injured man who just fought an Ogre would you?"

Lucia swung her hammer.

"Another bruise or missing limb won't make the slightest difference, I would just be finishing the Ogre's job."

As the hammer reached the tip of Leon's nose, a massive hand picked up Lucia by the scruff of her uniform.

It was none other than Guild Master Erik with a smile on his face.

"Now Lucia, I can't be letting Leon die like this, especially with the promise I made to his parents."

Leon sighed out of relief.

Guild Master Erik continued.

"However, I do believe Leon needs some discipline. So from today until you are completely healed, you will be banned for participating in any adventure."

Leon started to hyperventilate from what Erik said and passed out again.
