Chapter 4

Andras was speechless by the revelation of the name of the Rapunzel he had rescued from the Glass Tower. More like stolen to be specific. But more importantly….

Mallori Mallory. . . . .

What does that mean? She doesn't only have the last name Mallory, but the first name Mallori as well. Did this mean that she was somehow special? Was that the reason Lady Mallory wanted her erased? For the very first time, Andras questioned one thing that he had decided to not ever question or think about ever again.

The reason behind the erasing.

Contract killers are not required to know the reason behind why a certain individual is to be erased unless that person's death will bring the killer a backlash later on. However, since the Mallory family had no certain connections to the underground, Andras had crossed off the possibility of a backlash. In other words, the reason was not clarified.

Andras took a deep breath as he came to the conclusion that it didn't really matter if she was special or not, neither did her being related to the Mallory family. What mattered the most was that he was going to keep her beside him no matter what, for this girl was his now and nothing else mattered. Not her origin, parents, or name.

Getting up from the sofa, he sat beside Mallori who had returned to her place on the bed's edge. His expression was blank as he examined Mallori carefully from top to toe. She was breathtaking, and he couldn't help the craving that was rising in within him.

Mallori noticing Andras' inspection of her, looked at his unchanging blank expression. She tilted her head from one side to the other as she knitted her eyebrows as though she was thinking of something rather deeply. He was curious to know what she was thinking about, but no matter how much he tried, he simply couldn't read her as he easily would others. Suddenly, he noticed Mallori leaning towards his face more and more as she stared quite seriously at his face. Andras who had been glared at by the most fearsome men who had ever walked the underground world now felt a tad bit uncomfortable under this little girl's gaze. He couldn't help the frown that formed on his face as he came to realize what he was admitting to himself. This little girl was having such strange effects on him and he didn't like the fast pace at which it was happening to him since after all, he was someone who lived to kill.

She was about to reach for his face when he suddenly got up from the bed. The sudden weight shift on the bed made Mallori almost fall off, but she was able to keep her delicate frame on the bed.

He stood without a single movement and the look in his silver eyes changed. He took his phone out from his pocket and dialed a number. Within seconds, Andras ended his short call and unlocked the door. Mallori got up happily and just as she was about to take a step towards the unlocked door, Andras turned around with his face masked and his cold silver eyes telling her to not dare take a single step. His look made Mallori stop dead in her tracks and for the first time, she felt a chill run down her spine as she looked at him. Seeing the slight shock and fear in Mallori's eyes, made Andras' heart twitch a bit. However, he ignored it and left the room as he locked it behind him.

Andras Mabuz had softened a bit too much in the past years to be simply affected by a little girl. How is it possible for him, a ruthless and infamous killer known for his bloodthirsty ways, to be enchanted by a little Mallory girl? He needed something to get him back on track and that was the reason he was heading to the Waltz of the Dead where he would spend a little time. His destination is the Singing Room in which the targets sang so wonderfully for their pain to end as they could not handle the affection they were receiving from their singing instructor anymore.

As he entered the Singing Room, the first thing that welcomed him was an ear-piercing scream drenching in pain and horror.

"Ahhhh, what sound could be more pleasing than this," was the thought that ran through his mind, but his sick mind answered the question by replaying the voice of Mallori uttering his name softly and sweetly for the very first time. Andras' face darkened at himself.

Spotting the killer in charge of torture, Gair Campbell, he questioned, "Did you get everything that is required from his life?" Gair a bit confused at Master Mabuz coming to the Singing Room out of the blue dismissed his question about his reason for being here and instead replied, "Much so, just havin' a bit of fun before finishin' him off. No specification for his death, you see." Andras smiled sweetly at Gair, who was a short man with a bit of a crooked mouth, and asked in a deadly tone, "Do you mind letting me have the fun instead? I'm rather craving a bit of an exercise." Gair who was about 15 years Master Mabuz's senior couldn't help but feel intimated by the killing aura of the man he worked under. He wasted no time in getting out of his way and shutting the Singing Room's door shut. As he heard the first scream of the target, Gair couldn't help but feel a bit of pity for the target in spite of how much of a 'bad' man he was.

After about 2 hours of nonstop screaming, the target had no more life in him to even scream. He just sat in the cold metal chair lifelessly on his last breaths. Looking at the target boringly, Andras said, "Well this isn't fun without you screaming." The lifeless body twitched at hearing the man's voice. The man in front of him was even more frightening than the previous man who had tortured him. Andras took out a little black book from inside his blazer's pocket and flipped through its pages and walked towards the target. Wanting to get away from the devil who was approaching him, the man tried to struggle but it was no use for what he couldn't even feel his body. Andras' piercing silver eyes bore into the man's dull lifeless ones and he asked, "Your name?" The man was silent. Andras sighed deeply and said, "Name then a quick death for you." The man at this point desired nothing more than to die, so he made an effort to say his name, and he finally succeeded in replying, "Ma…..t…Ca…ve…" With a little nod, he wrote down the man's name and then crossed it off with Matt's blood. Andras took out his gun placing it directly on the target's temple and stated, "Kill number 224 - Matt Cave" as he pulled the trigger, and the man's soul started its waltz to hell.
