Chapter Five

Jess walked up to the tower with a twinkle in her eye. It was time, because this time, she would finally get some of that Reina pu- uh, prettiness that emanated from her. Yeah.

She walked in, of course not knocking. "I'm here for a fight! Don't say no, you're mine now!"

     No response.

"Hello?" Jess called. The lights were on, and Jess could see for once. This must've meant that there was something Reina wanted Jess to see, so she walked to the throne. Below and behold, a letter.

On the top, Reina had written Jess' name, and put a heart next to it. Jess had a fangirl moment, then said, "Has she really started to love me?! The heart has to be a sign!"

She opened the letter. In beautifully written cursive handwriting, the note read as follows:

Dear Jess,

I have fallen ill, and am in my room at the moment. I don't mind if you come in, because, honestly, you probably would've anyways. Just do me a favor, and try to be quiet, I have a bad migraine.

(Also, the heart was fan service. You're welcome.)

Jess murmured, "Aww,"and walked towards Reina's room.

When she opened the door, Reina was lying in bed. She had an ice-pack on her forehead, and was still sweating profusely.

"Don't get in the bed with me," Reina muttered, her clogged nose impairing her speech.

     Jess sighed. "Why not?"

"I am naked, Jess. I'm burning my ass off, and the only reason I'm under the blanket is because you're here."

Jess walked over to Reina, and stroked her hair. "It's okay Reina.  I'll help you get better."

Before Reina could say anything, Jess put the back of her hand to Reina's forehead, and concluded that she definitely had a fever.

"Can you give me any symptoms?" Jess inquired, looking at Reina's face.

"Uh, nose blockage, sinuses are aching, weird heartburn, everything hurts, and, of course," Reina finished, "fever."

Jess nodded. "Do you keep any medicine in this place?"

     "Bathroom, behind the mirror."

Jess only took a moment, and found exactly what she needed. When she came back, Reina asked what Jess wanted her to take.

"I'm gonna give you some allergy stuff, mostly just to kill symptoms, then I'm gonna give you some antibiotics for your ears."

"My ears? What's wrong with them?"

"You, my dearest and most lovely Reina, have the worst ear-infection I have ever seen in my life. It has run down into your throat, and, furthermore, into your gut, giving you a stomach bug, which gives you the displeasure of having your ears affect your head, and your cute little belly affect the rest of your body."

Reina became confused. "Okay, but, how would you know if my belly was cute?"

Jess looked down, then back up. "You can't feel the draft, can you?"

"Draft? What dra- I'm not covered, am I?"

Jess shook her head. "Um... Should I cover it?"

     "Yes."

Jess slowly pulled the blanket to where Reina's belly became covered.

"Thank you, Jess. You know, you're not my girlfriend," Reina said, "but you're a great friend."

Jess started crying, and the two had a nice cry session.

"I love you sweetums!"

     "Owww..."
