A Pleasant Guest

I look at the document in front of me. This is all the reports about the progress of Barrier construction around Romania. The barrier is already done and only needs to upgrade it.

There is also a report of CEDEF successfully located at Hexennacht's main base. Their main base is located in the most northern part of Norway. Right now, Carol is preparing some of her personal CEDEF executives and will personally lead them to attack the main base of Hexennacht.

I ordered this operation because the Hexennacht kept trying to breach our barrier, and it became annoying and inconvenient for us. So I order Carol to lead her best personnel and quickly take care of this problem.

Among the documents in front of me, the one that draws my attention is the paper that is asking for my permission to create a new magician faction under the name of the Vongola family. Their name is Arcobaleno. They said it was named after the flame's color, which is ironic, considering that Arcobaleno is the carrier of the curse in the Katekyo Universe. However, I agree with that request.

They are their own faction, but they serve the Vongola Faction. You could say that they are the Vassal to the Vongola Family. They can do whatever they want, but they still need to obey the rule of the Vongola family and come to the aid of the Vongola family when they are needed.

This Faction is also the one that helped Medea and her research of magic. The requirement to join this faction is not very strict, but before they join in, they will sign a loyalty Geis and swear a magical oath.

*Knock* *Knock*

I snap from my thoughts when I hear someone knock at the door to my office.

"Come in."

"Excuse me."

I look at Medea walking inside my office with a few documents in her hand.

"What can I do for you, Medea?"

"Master, there is someone that requests a meeting with you."

"Is it the devil? If so, please tell them I'm busy right now."

"No, master. It was not the devil but rather the people from Celtic Pantheon. The one coming here is Morrigan and Lugh."

"Oh? Then please tell them to come to my office."

"Yes, Master"

When Medea walks away from my office, I take out a bottle of wine from my personal stash and a three glass for Lugh, Morrigan, and me.

After a few seconds of waiting on the couch, I hear a knock coming from the door.

"Come in."

As the door opens up, I see Medea walk inside the room with Lugh and Morrigan on her side.

"Good Morning, Lexian. Sorry for interrupting your job."

"Yo, Lexian"

I smile at both of them before letting them sit down on the couch and pour down inside their glass while Medea stands behind me.

"So, what can I do for you on this beautiful morning?"

"Should I go to the point, or should we have some chat first?"

"Let us discuss the reason why you come here, and we can have a pleasant talk after doing that."

"Very well."

I look at Morrigan, take out a file from between her breasts, and place it down on the table. I hesitate to take the file but decide to take it anyway and open it.

Inside the file is a picture of what looks like a monster with a variety of shapes. At first, I don't know what kind of monster they are, but I look at the rather familiar monster when I reach the last page. I see this monster in my past life.

Cleric Beast.

The first boss in Bloodborne, the guardian of the Great Bridge.

"By the look of your face, you know about this monster."

"... Yes. Why?"

"The reason why we come here is that we want to hire your force to clear the Land of Shadow."

I look at her with a raised eyebrow before saying.

"Why do you need our help? I don't want to sound rude, but Lugh over there is dubbed as one out of ten strongest beings in the world. You should be fine killing a hundred or even a thousand of these creatures, right?"

After hearing my word, Lugh stopped drinking the wine and looked at me with a serious expression.

"Lexian. I know you will not tell this to the other faction, so that I will tell you a secret. This beast is getting stronger when a divine being getting close to them."

"What?"

"This is not the same creature as the one usually spawns inside the land of shadow. The monster that spawns inside the Land of Shadow is created by chaotic mana inside the Land of Shadow. However, this beast is made of flesh and blood. At first, we think nothing about it, but when the stronger beast appears in a massive number, we, the gods, begin to investigate it. Still, to our surprise, the beast immediately becomes more powerful when we arrive at the Land of Shadow. The longer we stay in the Land of Shadow, the more powerful they become."

"So, you need a non-divine being to take care of the problem?"

"Yes."

"Why us? There is another human organization that you can hire other than us."

"But they are not as trustworthy as you. I can trust you to keep this disaster a secret and not tell the other faction about it. I don't want the other Patheon to know about this disaster because they will see this beast as our 'secret weapon' to conquer their territory."

"But why should we help you with this problem? This request sounds dangerous. Especially with the number of monsters in the Land of Shadow."

Without saying anything, Lugh raised his hand, and suddenly two spears appeared in his hand. One spear is longer than the other. One of the spears has a blood-red color, and the other has a yellow color.

"Gae Dearg and Gae Buidhe. Crimson Rose of Exorcism and Yellow Rose of Mortality."

"So, you know about them."

"Of course. These two spears are the famous spears used by Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, the Knight of Fianna."

"This will be one of your payments if you help us in this crisis."

"One of them?"

"Of course. You will get another compensation for this agreeing with our request."

I think about it for a second before I look at Lugh and say.

"Can you give us time? I will give it to you in a few hours."

"I'm okay with that."

"Please follow Medea. She will lead you to the guest room."

"Fair enough. Also, can you send me another bottle of wine to our room?"

"Very well. I will tell one of the maids to deliver my personal wine to your room."

When I see them walk away from my office, I pick up my phone and begin to make a call.

"Hello, Carol? Can you come to my office real quick? There is something I want to discuss with you guys."
