Our New Member was a Terrorist

Nightwing's POV

Mount Justice

"Any idea who that Persephone Jackson is?" Superboy asked, walking in with Sphere.

"Yeah, I searched up all the information I could find out about her but the more I looked into it, the more confused I'm about her," Nightwing answered, not taking his masked eyes off the holographic screen.

"What do you mean?"

"Tell you later. Can you get everyone here real quick, we need to discuss this together." Superboy nodded and stepped out again.

Nightwing shifted his weight on his left leg and frown up at the picture of Persephone with six other teens standing in Athens, all smiling happily. They all looked extremely battered with cuts and bruises all over their body and they all carried some sorts of bats in their hands, except the bats all looked fuzzy and unclear while the seven teens are clearly shown. That's strange, thought Nightwing.

"You called for a meeting, Nightwing?" Artemis asked, walking in hand in hand with Wally.

"Yes, I did." Nightwing turned to his teammates(minus Aqualad, he's still at Atlantis).

"I have searched up all the information I can find about her. She was a troubled teen, being kicked out of six schools in six years, all were because she got into incidence she claimed she didn't do." He said, pulling out a school file.

Artemis frowned at the holographic screen, "Interesting, and she has ADHD and dyslexia too?"

The dark bird nodded, "And that's not all. Over the last few years, she had been reportedly seen in different areas of the world, and everywhere where she had been, there is usually a major disaster. The most memorable being the earthquake at Mount St Helens and Manhattan.

"So what are you trying to say?" asked Superboy.

"Are you trying to say that she is a terrorist with superpowers?"

Nightwing pondered on this, finally, he said: "I'm not certain, but that's my guess, or it could just all be a coincidence and that girl just have really bad luck."

"Okay, but that's not all was it?" KF put in.

Nightwing gave his best pal his signature grin, "You know me too well dude. You're right, that was not all," he presses down a button and the picture of Persephone and her six friends popped up.

"What did you noticed when you looked at this photo?"

His teammates all squinted at the picture and for a good two minutes, they continued to stare at it. Finally, Nightwing couldn't take it anymore, " The teens were all clearly showed but not their bats."

"Oohhh..."

Nightwing sighed dramatically and said seriously, "My guesses is that someone is using some illusion magic to cloak whatever these teens are carrying."

"But why teens?"

"No idea, but they all have something in common. They are all troubled teens with either dyslexia or ADHD or even both." The team was shocked by this.

Nightwing was about to continue when the Zatatube announced the arrival of Wonder Woman and Aquaman.

"Hello team," Wonder Woman greeted them While Orin nodded his greeting. Then he noticed the picture and frowned visibly.

"Who are you search about?" Aquaman asked.

"A girl whom we suspected to be a terrorist," Nightwing answered, " Her name is Persephone Jackson." The two leaguers' face immediately paled, they looked at each other with wide-open eyes.

"What's wrong?" Miss M asked with a concerned voice, " Do you know her?"

The two exchanged a quick glance before turning back to the team. "I'm sorry team but you cannot continue your search on Persephone Jackson..."

"What?! Why?" Wally asked, more confused than anger.

Diana struggled to find the right words so Orin stepped in, "Team as I have said before, she is one of us, a hero and a great one at that. It is true that she had a troubled past but things are not it always seems, especially when it comes to her."

This brought the former boy wonder back to that night where they had encountered Persephone and what she had said to them, ...sometimes I hated the mist, they just confuse you mortals and let us half-bloods take all the blame for what every the mist shows. Could it be that some sort of illusion was put on Persephone and masked everything she does and made it looked like whatever was shown in their file? But he still does not understand what that girl means by mortals, mist, and half-bloods. Nightwing is starting to get more and more interested in this girl now.

"...So as an official leaguer, I forbid you to continue your search on Persephone Jackson." Aquaman was saying.

"But why? She is a terrorist!" Wally insisted, dramatically waving his hands in the air.

"She is a great hero and warrior," Wonder Woman stood her ground, "and soon to be part of the Team."

Wait, What?

"Team, you are going to get a new member..."
