The Training goes o so Horribly Wrong. I’m kidding!

Third person's POV

Ever since the giant cat is out of the bag, the Team has been growing closer to Percy. Megan, Artemis, and Percy had been the closes. What can I say? Girls got to stick together. Especially since there are only the three of them on the Team. Percy had learned from Megan that there use to be two more, Zatanna and Rocket, but they had joined the Justice League. So Yeah...

On the other hand, The Team had gone on more missions together. They had seen first hand just how good Percy is at fighting and combat, leaving the enemies shaken with fear under her 'Wolf Glare'. Even Nightwing was impressed, and that is saying something. The two of them had spent a great amount of time training together. Percy would teach Nightwing the ancient Greek fighting technique and her special demigod glare and in turn, Dick would teach Percy acrobat and how to disappear like a ninja. They would talk for hours about different fighting styles and other things. The Team had noticed the amount of time those two had spent together and started secretly shipping them. Even some of the Justice League members joined in after Aquaman and WW had told them about Percy's backstory, they all agreed that Percy would be a great match to Dick.

Whenever Percy and Dick were sparing, the others would be watching them through the surveillance camera in another room with their fingers crossed hoping for something to happen between them. But so far, nothing. But they are not giving it up yet.

So on this particular day, Percy and Dick were sparring as usual with their teammates spying on them through the screen. 

'Nightwing failed.' 

"Yes! That's 9:9, we are even! One more point and I will beat you!" Percy shouted gleefully, sitting on top of Nightwing, who was in a spread eagle position on the floor,

"Don't celebrate your victory just yet, Sea Princess," Dick smirked up at Percy. " Cause I will surely win in the next round. Just don't come crying to me when it happened."

"Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night," Percy said, getting off of him. She walked over to the benches and grabbed two towels and toss one of them to Dick.

"Thanks." Percy nodded.

"You ready for the next match, Birdy?"

"Heck Yeah!"

They got into fight-stand.

'Recognized, Nightwing vs. Riptide'

Percy smirked and lunged at Nightwing, dodging his first punch and drop to swipe him off his feet but dick jump to avoid it and flipped backward to avoid her attack. They began engaged in hand to hand combat. In the control room, the Team watched in awe as the two continued to spar, unable to tell the winner.

"My bet is on Percy!" Wally hollered.

"We are not betting on our teammate, Baywatch!" Artemis scolded, slapping Wally upside the head.

"I bet ten bucks on Nightwing!" Superboy yelled back. Artemis sighed in exasperation.

"Boys..."

They turned their gaze back to the screen. In the training room, the battle raged on, this time weapons were brought out, Escrima Sticks against daggers. 

Clang!

"Ready to give up yet, Birdy?"

"You wish, Sea Princess!"

Clang!

Percy stubbled a few steps back by the force that knocked her daggers out of her hand, she tried to steady herself. Too late, Nightwing gained upon her and faked a left swing with his leg and dropped down to nock Percy off her feet.

"Hah! Take that!" Nightwing smirked down at Percy, his face inches away from hers. The close contact made his heart speed up even more.

"So what are you gonna do now, Princess?" Percy gave a mischievous smile.

"This." She leaned up and kissed Nighting on the lips, startling the dark bird but he kissed back immediately. Dick let down his guard and gave Percy the chance to flip herself over and now she is on top.

'Nightwing Failed.' the computer announced.

"YES! That's 10:9, I beat you!" Percy whooped and turn back to Nightwing with a bright smile. She bent down and offered a hand to the still stunned bird.

Dick snapped out of his trance and took Percy's hand. The match may be done, but he still had one thing to settle. Using the force of the pull, he took the chance to pull the demigoddess towards him and smashed his lips against hers. He could feel the sea-green eyed girl tense up at the sudden contact but immediately melted into the kiss. He smiled, finally...

Dick moved his hand to Percy's waist, the other around her neck, pulling her even closer to his chest. He deepened the kiss, enjoying every second of it. Percy had her hand around his neck, the other on his chest.

They stayed that way for a long while before pulling apart. They both smiled at each other.

"Wow, that was, unexpected," Percy said, looking at Nightwing with a tint of pink on her cheeks. Dick laughed, his arms still circled around the heroine. 

"I love you, Riptide."

"I love you too, Nightwing." They were about to continue their make out when a voice called out from the entrance of the room. The two quickly jumped apart.

"Well, it's about time you two get together! And Artemis? I believe you owe me fifty bucks for betting that Percy would kiss Nightwing first-OW!" Wally yelped and look incredulously at his girlfriend.

"You interrupted their moment, Baywatch! Now great, they are embarrassed!" Artemis yelled but there was a smile on her face, she turned to the still flustered duo and gave them both a hug, "You two were so cute, I totally ship it!" That got the two even redder.

"My friend, I believe that you have embarrassed them enough for one day." Kaldur entered the room with a smile, he turned to Percy and bowed to her. "Congratulations M'Lady, you finally found your happiness." Percy turned even redder if that is even possible.

The others snickered and one by one left the room to tell the Justice League the good news, leaving the new couple to have the room all to themselves.

"...So, what are we now?" Percy asked, pulling at her utility-belt. Dick walked over to her and tilted her head up with his fingers.

"I had waited for so long for this moment. Persephone Jackson, will you be my girlfriend?" he asked carefully, afraid that she would reject him.

Percy's sea-green eyes lit up and she broke into a huge smile. "Yes, I would love to!"

Dick laughed in relief and picked up Percy and spun her around.

"YES! This is the best day of my life!"
