Chapter Six

I awake not knowing how long I've been out and with a serious neck ache. I open my now back to normal brown eyes, as I look around me I realize, I have no clue where I am. I look down to see chains binding me to the chair I sit in.

" Great...," I mumble my voice cracking due to not being used for some time.

" Look whos awake," Came a voice that seemed familiar in some way, just couldn't put my finger on where. I turn to where the voice came from, but couldn't see anything due to the blurriness of my eyes and the shadows everywhere in the room I am being held captive in.

" Who are you," I stated loudly trying to get my eyes to focus.

" Looks like he doesn't remember me, oh sad and I thought I left quite the impression on you," The voice laughed.

I thought about there words and came to the conclusion it was the girl in the building.

" It's you!" I yell.

" Oh, so you do remember me, oh goody, now that introductions are out of the way, you are my prisoner now you half breed." She cackled with only what could be distributed as madness. As she laughed a drop of cold sweat rolled down my neck that sent a chill down my spine.

She's not right in the head.

" So what are you going to do to me, since I'm your...prisoner," I ask trying to act none hostile as I can to try to see if she'll take pity on me and maybe, just maybe let me go. She stops cackling and I could tell she got a serious note to her voice now even though I still can't see her yet as my vision slowly returns to me. " Find out how to stop the vampires, we know you're half vampire so there's no reason to deny it at this point, "

" Who are " we"?" I ask.

" The Moutain wolf pack of course,"

" Never heard of them," I say with the best shrug I could do while chained up.

I hear footsteps only a couple of seconds after she said what the name of her pack was.

" Noah, I didn't know you were coming to see him!" She shrieked.

" Untie him, he's one of us even though he is part vampire, the boy was a wolf first," He said walking into the light so I could see him since my vision eventually returned to me. He is a tall fit man with short silver hair with a brown undercut, with sharp gray eyes.

He's in charge.

" But, he's dangerous can't you tell!?" She yells.

He turns around having his back to me to meet the girl's eyes somewhere in the shadows.

" He may be dangerous but that doesn't change he is also one of us, now untie him," He practically growled. Without another word she quickly ran over to me and did what she was told to do. With a rattle of the chains falling to the floor she got more and more nervous. Once she was done she ran somewhere behind Noah. He is now facing me with his eyes looking into mine assessing me. After a minute he closes his eyes and smiles.

" The eyes are the window to the soul and I can tell you are a kind person, you are not a captive anymore. If you so chose to you could stay and become part of The Mountain pack, but that is up to you of course,"

I didn't say anything letting the silence sink in. Three minutes passed before he sighed and looked at me dead in the eyes once again, completely serious.

" Do you expect Bastian, the vampire lord will welcome you back with open arms? I know for a fact, he'll kill you before you put one step in the door,"

He's right. I thought.

" Okay, I'll join your pack," I spoke straight-faced.

" Great! Now come with me there are lots to do, " Noah said as he clasped his hands with a smile.

" Are you serious?! He can't be welcomed to the pack, you know what he is!" Alex yelled as she gestured at me.

" Alex, calm down unless you want to take his place and go pay the vampires a visit," He said clearly irritated.

" No sir," She replied as she took a step back.

" Come with me now," Noah said to me. I quickly followed him keeping my eyes down while passing Alex.

" So..what do we need to prepare for exactly?" I ask keeping pace with him.

" The ceremony you must take part in to officially become a member of the pack," He answered.

" Ceremony?" I say confused as I stop walking, I quickly continue so I don't fall behind.

" Yes, a ceremony that every outsider must take part in to be acknowledged as a member of the pack," He said nodding.

" Okay..so what do I need to do?" I asked.

He stops. " Oh, don't worry about that, you'll be fine," He answered with a smile. Somehow I knew that smile meant I won't be.
