After my words neither of use moves. Not so much as daring to blink, letting the other take advantage of the time when our eyes are closed, it could mean living and dying.
" If you leave now, I'll spare your life," The wolf that was once a man said.
" I can't die so, I don't think I will leave, thanks for the offer though," I answered.
" Oh, I get it now, why you can't shift completely and that you reek of death, you're a half breed, go back to whatever grave you crawled out of," He snarled.
" What now you want a prize, how about a bone," I replied with a smirk.
He took a step forward ready to run full speed at me when a new voice ran out in the room. I was to busy to notice someone else has shone up.
" Damn it," I say under my breath. I dare to turn where the voice came from. It was a short woman and she's standing in the doorway.
" Hi, there," She said when our eyes met. No hint of being scared in her eyes.
" Why are you here Alex, " The wolf growls.
" You were talking to long," She said with a shrug, her shoulder-length dark brown hair sway with her movement.
She can understand him which means she's also like him. She's dangerous.
" What's going on here," I spoke my eyes moving back and forth between them.
The girl turns to me and with a straight face says, " Isn't obvious this idiot was meant to kidnap you,"
" I'd like to see you try," I say with a scoff.
This isn't the first time something like this has happened to me.
" Oh, I'm not here to get my hands dirty," She says with a grin.
Wait?!
I spin around eyes wide to see the teeth of the wolf a nose length away from my face and still coming for me. He hits me with his whole body weight causing me hit the wall banging my head making it bleed.
" You seriously had to go and try to kill me didn't you," I said as I pulled myself out of the crater that was made when I hit the wall.
If I was human, I'd be dead for sure.
" This is your last chance before I step in," The girl said clearly getting impatient.
He just lets out a deep growl and charges at me once again but this time I'm ready to defend myself. I run at him as he's coming at me, just out of his reach I drag my claws alongside him leaving blood and fur littering the floor with the glass.
We're on opposite sides of the room now, my hand covered in blood and the wolf dripping blood everywhere forming puddles of it under his paws, he's now panting from losing so much blood.
I smirk, " I couldn't let you pull the same trick twice on me,"
A loud sigh fills the room. " I guess it's my turn," The girl says voice filled with objection. She walks in front of the wolf bleeding out. A soft pleading voice rings out into the air.
" Alex, don't,"
" Oh, shut up, if you try fighting now you'll die!" She yells planting her feet down showing she is going to protect him. She shifts to look like her hurt comrade behind her. Another dark wolf stands in front of me with fiery red eyes that could burn you if you look too long. She stares at me, trying to resort to intimidation before brute force. It felt like I was on fire, but I knew I wasn't, it was her, her eyes. When she realized intimidation wouldn't work in a flash she was gone. In the next moment, I was on the ground her teeth in my neck breaking it. The last thought I had was before everything went dark was, she's fast.
