7- First Shift

I went up to my room to find it empty.

I decide to go on my phone for a while, since I had nothing better to do. Suddenly I hear a knock at the door. "Just a moment" I shouted. I then go and open the door I'm shocked to find Anna there.

"The alpha wants to see you" she says. She then leads me to this room and tells me to go inside I do, and Anna shuts the door behind me, I'm in a study with the same pattern as the rest as the house, Aaron was sitting behind a desk. When he sees me he gets up and walks towards me, he stops a few feet in front of me

"I want to take you out tonight" he says.

"Like a date" I say.

"Yes like a date" he said smirking. I wanted to say yes, but I also didnt want to go on a date with someone I didnt know so I said.

"Ill go but as friends, I just want to get to know you" I said

"Okay as friends" he said laughing. "I'll come get you at 5 oclock", he said it was 3 now.

"Ok" I said and with that I walked out Anna was still there waiting on me. She was smirking. "O dont" I said

"I didnt say anything" she said now laughing I was laughing now too.

"We have to go you ready for your date" she teased.

"Its not a date" I said.

"Whatever you say" she said, we were now at my room.

It was ten to 5 and i was all ready I have been for a while me and Anna where just talking about simple stuff. I was wearing a pair of black skinny high wasted ripped Jeans and a hot pink crop top with a see through oversized jumper with shoes to match. My hair was in a messy bun. Anna somehow knew that I was to wear something casual, I had a bit of light makeup on. There was a knock on the door and then in walked Aaron he was wearing a pair of black ripped skinny jeans and a light grey top with a black denim jacket. I still didnt know where we were going.

Me and Anna both stud up, and Anna quickly slipped out leaving me and Aaron alone. "Were to" I asked.

"It's a surprise" he said I smiled. Before I knew it I was at a small clearing in the woods and there was a picnic set up I looked at Aaron smiling I liked him a lot, and that scared me.

"Do u like it he asked.

"Like it, I love it" I said. My cheeks going red, so I looked at the ground.

"Come on, lets eat" he said. We sat there talking till it got dark to say I was falling for him was a understatement.

"I like you Hannah, a lot" Aaron said looking deep into my eyes, as if he was looking into my soul.

"I like you too Aaron, I think this" I gesturing to us. "Can work," I said and I meant it I did, I really think we can work.

"So do I" he said getting up. "I wanna show you something. if youd let me that is". He held out his hand to help me up and I gladly took it.

"Sure" I beamed up at him. We made small talk as he lead us deeper, into the heart of the woods.

"We are getting close, do you mind if I cover your eyes?" he asked smiling down at me.

"I dont see why not" I said. He then put a hand over my eyes and led me forward. A minute or so late me removed his hand and I was shocked to see a beautiful water fall in front of us.

"Do you like it" he asked grinning ear to ear, as he glazed at the waterfall and then back at me.

"I love it" I grinned up at him. He looked as my lips and I instinctively licked then, and looked at his. He started leaning in and so did I. I closed my eyes and tilted my head to the side as our lips met. His tongue licked my lip asking for entrance which I allowed. When we pulled apart Aaron kissed my forehead and rested his chin on me head. "Aaron" I said.

"Yeah" he asked.

"Can you mark me" I asked. He looked taken aback by my request but composed himself.

"Are you sure, we dont have to. Im happy waiting till your ready" he said.

"I'm ready, I promise I said.

"Okay, if your sure" he said. I simply nodded my head and he moved my hair to my shoulder. "Its going to hurt at first, but only for a second" he said standing behind me. I felt sharp teeth scrape against my neck making me shudder and then he bit down on my neck. I screamed at first but only for a second then I felt him licking the mark.

Then I heard a branch snap, my head snapped up and thats when a saw the men, and wolves surrounding us. Aaron pushed me behind him in an instant.

"Get the girl" I heard someone shout.

"Over my dead body" Aaron shouted he then turned into a black wolf and pranced on anyone that was to close. Different wolves came and ambushed the wolves and men?? That was surrounding us. A man grabbed me and put something over my mouth, and thats all I remember before I blacked out. Again."

When I woke up I was in a room, I didn't recognize. Suddenly everything came back to me, the men came out of nowhere and attacked us. I sat up quickly and looked around the room to see, there was a man in the corner of the room. I would recognize that face anywhere. It was my dad...

"Dad" I said sitting up tears falling down my cheeks freely.

"Monkey" he said running over to me and bringing me into a warm embrace I didnt want him to let go ever, but I was mad at him so I pulled away and hit him hard in his chest.

"Aaa that hurt" he said.

"Good" I said crossing my arms over my chest.

"What did I do" he said. He had some nerve.

"O I dont know, its not like u kidnapped me or anything. Not to mention you left without saying good bye when i was 7" I said. I loved my dad, I did. But he was so annoying, I rolled my eyes. I cant believe he expected me to just forgive and forget.

"I'm your father and lets be honest would you have came with me willingly. And I did not abandon you, you're the one that left, you and your mother he said looking down. Do u know how heartbroken I was to wake up to you my baby girl and your mother my mate, gone without a trace".

I was in complete shock, "he was the one that left at least thats what my mum told me" I said. O my god. I meant to say that in my head.

"She did, did she" he said.

"Yea," I said looking down.

"I want to show u something," he said putting his hands on my face.

"Okay", I said confused. All of a sudden I saw my dad wakening up looking around, before he got up and went out of the room and went to the room next door. My childhood room. When he saw the bed empty he ran to the wardrobe to see it empty, he fell to his knees and there was tears falling down his face, and just like that I was sitting in the bed again, in complete and outer shock.

"Dad Im so sorry, I-I didnt know" I stuttered out.

"Its okay dont worry about it, your here now and thats all that matters" he said. Wait, how did he showed me that.

"Dad how did, you show me that" I asked looking at him.

"Im a wolf, but Im also a warlock" he said.

"I just found out about wolves and now u are saying there are witches, and warlocks" I said.

Yes, thats exactly what Im saying he said.

"You cant be serious" I said.

"I am" he said.

"Wait how am I here, I mean how am I here and not in pain" I asked.

"I put a protection spell on you" he said. Causing me to sigh.

"Oh" I said.

"I cant believe your mother kept this from you" he said.

"Yea... Im 18 on Friday" I said. My dad looked at me with a warm smile.

"How could I forget" he said.

"Think we could go back for then" I ask.

"Of course I dont see why not" he said. "But you will have to train for the changes to come".

"Okay" I said.

Its the next morning I look to my right to see the alarm beeping like crazy. I turn the beeping off and check the time, the alarm reads 8:30am. Im lying in the bed i woke up in yesterday, i spent all day yesterday with my dad. We had dinner together and talked a lot. We had a lot to catch up on, as u could probably guess. Training started today or so Im told, Ima tell you strait not my idea of fun, my idea of fun is Netflix and chill with popcorn so yea Im not exactly the fittest. I sigh getting out of bed, I see clothes on the chair in the corner of my room. After Ive showered and got changed I head next door to my dads room. I knock 3 times and walk in I notice that my dad isnt there, but i here the shower so I decide to wait in my room for my dad to come get me for my so called training. Im lying on my bed in deep thought about what Ive learned in the last couple of days when i pulled out of my thoughts by a sharp knock on the door.

"Hey" I said as my father comes through the door.

"Hi, you ready" he asked.

"Yea I guess" I said. We then went down a set of stairs and out these big double doors that lead outside, to the back of the so called pack house even though its way bigger than a house, to the training grounds.

My dad has me running ten laps on this track course Im on my last lap thank god because, I need a drink right now and my legs are killing me. Im finally done and let me tell you, I have never sat down as fast in my whole life, well more like collapsed but we wont go there. I snatched my water bottle out of my dads hand so fast I nearly took him down with it. I downed half of its contents in seconds.

"How was your warm up" my father said laughing.

"Warm up? Warm up? Are u kidding me!?" I shouted. I let out a long desperate sigh, he cant be serious.

"Yes, now come on" he said helping me up from the ground. He led me over to a white mat that was filled with memory foam.

He went on to explain that this training was in close combat and how it was important encase I couldnt shift for whatever reason, may it be wolfs bane or silver that I could still protect myself. When we were done training which contested as, him winning every round, until I actually managed to pin him down on the second last round and actually won it. I cant wait till I get my wolf now and I unlock my full potential. I wonder what she will look and sound like, o my god I cant wait.

Its currently 6:55pm, I spent most of the day with my dad. But now hes away on Alpha business, so Im just spending most of the night watching horror movies in my PJs. I decide to go to sleep at 11pm since i have training again in the morning at 8:30.

Its been 5 days and today I am going back... I will admit I am nervous but I know I have to go back. Even if its the last thing I want to do right now, I really like it here with my dad, it feels like... home.

I'm currently in the car with my dad on the way back to the 'pack house', I was at before my dad decided to kidnap me, sorry I mean 'take me without my say' as my dad said it was. But anyway I'm really nervous, I've even started talking to myself. I've finally lost my mind.

"We are here" my dad said pulling me from my thoughts. I look at him and then out my window, and then back to him. My belly has this weird feeling in it, like I'm about to go sky diving or something.

"That was quick". I sigh and get out of the car and my dad gets out not long after me.

When the door shuts we are suddenly surrounded by at least 20 people. My heart suddenly drops to my stomach. My dad quickly puts a protective arm around me and I felt a sudden flush of relief wash over me when I saw Anna and my mum.

"Mom" I say relief laced my voice. I went to go over to her but my dads arm tightened around me, making it hard to breathe never mind get out of his death grip to go see my mother.

"A-Aiden... w-what are you doing here" my mum stuttered.

"Funny I-" is all my dad could get out before I interrupted him.

"I.. cant.. Breathe" I said starting to get a bit light headed. My father lightened his grip on me and I breathed heavily for a couple seconds finally no longer suffocating in my fathers death grip.

"Sorry" my father said. I could feel his eyes on me for a few seconds before he turned them else were.

"Why are you here Aiden" my mother growled.

"I could ask you the same thing" my father said, I looked up at him to see he was staring daggers at my mother. I took a glance at my mother to see was also staring daggers at my father. Great, just fan-fucking-tastic. They are going to end up killing each other with their eyes. I have to break this defining silence before someone says something they're going to regret.

"Well isnt this a family reunion to remember" I said sarcastically. "Can you let me go now" I wined at my dad. He sighed and took his arm off of me. I went to my mother and I quickly embraced her in a hug, "I missed you" I said before letting her go.

"I missed you too" she said smiling. I heard my dad awe behind me, I sighed and turned around to face him he was smiling.

"What is it now" I asked rolling my eyes.

"I've missed my girls" he said walking up to us and embracing my mum in a hug. He whispered "we need to put our differences aside, for Hannah. We can talk in private after" I dont think he meant for me to hear him but I did. I was confused but smiled watching my father pull away from the hug also smiling. Whilst my mum faked a slight smile.

This is really confusing.

Why did he whisper that to my mother, what were the hiding from me.

I forgot there was other people there. I skimmed all their faces, they all look dumbfounded. I was slightly embarrassed. I felt my cheeks turn a slight pink. Well this isn't embarrassing at all.

"Hannah its Aaron" Anna said finally speaking up.

"What do you mean, what happened.. Anna" I asked.

"When you left, or were took h-hes weak Hannah. He needs you, your his last hope" she said in a pleading tone. I was in complete and outer shock. This was all my fault, I should have came back sooner. I'm a terrible human being.

"Take me to him. Now" I said urgently. Anna started walking quickly inside the 'pack house's and took me up a flight of stairs and down hallway after hallway. Until she opened a door and urgently pushed me inside. She came in after me and shut the door, we were in a hospital type room. I saw him on the bed there was things sticking out of his arm I didn't pay attention to anything else or anyone else once my eyes fell on him. I quickly rushed over to him. He was stirring in his sleep.

"O my god hes waking up" Anna said.

"O my god. Hes waking up!" He stirred awake, and looked around the room till his honey brown eyes were boring into my blue ones.

"H-Hannah is that you" his voice came out raspy and low.

"Yeah its me, I'm here" I said taking his hand in mine while crouching down to be at his level. He suddenly started coughing uncontrollably and harshly into his hand. "Aaron" I shouted as the heart monitor flat lined and his lifeless body fell onto the bed. The door suddenly burst open and three people came rushing in, and over the Aaron.

"Hannah we have to leave so the pack doctor can do her job", Anna said dragging me out and into the corridor. I started pacing anxiously outside the door as Anna slid down the wall on the opposite side, hugging her knees to her chest. "He'll be okay" she said, but it was as if she was trying to convince herself.

An hour later the door opened and Anna shot to her feet while I immediately stopped pacing. The pack doctor had a sorrow filled face and tear filled eyes. "I'm sorry-" I couldn't hear anything after those words left her mouth. I had this sharp pain in my chest, but it wasnt unbearable it was just there. My body started shaking uncontrollably as tears whelmed up in my eyes then stared escalading down my face, as I fell to the floor bringing my knees to my chest and started rocking back and forth. I cried and cried for hours till I was just sitting there with tear stained cheeks, and red puffy eyes. I heard hundred pained howls from the pack members, they must have felt there Alphas bonds break.

It's been two days since Aarons death and todays my birthday, but it doesnt feel like it. There was a knock at the door but I didn't make a move to open it, if it's important they will come in. The door opened and Anna came in, "get up" she said when she came over to my bed. When I didn't make a move to get up, Anna sighed. "Look I'll spend an hour crying with you in bed, but then you need to get your ass out of bed because your pack needs there Luna. Now make room", I moved over so Anna could get in and we cried together for a little over an hour until Anna practically dragged me out of bed and into the bathroom. After I had a shower I came out to find clothes beside the sink, it was a pair of black jeans and a grey hoodie. I got changed into them and then went into my bedroom to Anna. "Come on, the packs waiting in the training grounds".

"Why is the pack in the training ground" I asked as she took my hand and started taking me to the training grounds.

"Because Hanna, you are going to give them a speech about what you're going to do next". Anna said making me groan.

When we got the training ground there was about 600 people there. And there was a small stage in front of everyone and I saw Annas brother and a man there. Anna started leading me over to them, when we got there the man spoke up.

"Luna", he said bowing his head in respect. "I'm Mat, the Grama. I work closely with the Luna, I just wish we could have meet in better circumstances" he said. He offered me a hand shake and I took it.

"Hannah" I said shaking his hand.

"Hannah, are you ready" Anna said.

"No, but it has to be done" I said.

"Good luck" she said.

"Thanks" I said and then stood on the high platform so the pack could see me.

(After speech about Aarons death and her being the Luna/Alpha sorry going to write it a different time).

"Does anyone have an questions, if so please just raise your hand" I asked looking over the large crowd. Loads of hands shot up and I pointed to a middle aged man. "Yes".

"How are you going to run a werewolf pack when you haven't even shifted yet" he asked narrowing his eyes. Chatter erupted in the crowd.

"Silence" I shouted every one quickly shut their mouth. "It is true I havent shifter yet but today is my 18th birthday so I should shift any time today" I said. "Any more questions" I asked. Hands shot up once again and this time I picked a woman.

"How do we know you're not just lying and you're not really the late Alphas mate" she asked.

"You w-" I was cut off by my bones starting to snap and crouched down. A small scream escaped my lips, all my bones where breaking at different times. Anna ran up to me and started trying to do anything she could the help or support me.

"Its okay Hannah your shifting" she said.

An hour later it finally stopped and I was on all fours. A loud howl escaped my lips or muzzle? Every one bowed there head and a series of Alpha was heard. Anna showed me a mirror, I was a white wolf but there was a black paw print around my right eye.

The rest of the night went past in a dazz, I went for a run in wolf form with the pack and Anna somehow convinced me to get drunk.
