Chapter4: Pet names

He won't tell me his name!

We spent my whole free period bickering and fighting. I'm starting to run out of ideas here.

"OK how about I tell you my name ,then you tell me yours?", I say trying me last bribe.

He moves to sit in front of me and smirks,"I don't need to know your name." I huff and cross my arms over my chest.

"Fine , I'll just call you Raven" I say as I get up. Looking at his face is priceless. I had to fight back my laugh.

"Why,isn't that...that purple chick?"he ask trying to catch up to me.

"No, although she is my favourite. I mean Alpha Raven from one of my favourite books" I reply stopping by my bike and taking my phone out.



Shit! School was over 2 hours ago!

I look up at him , a hint of sadness in his eyes,weird,"I gotta go home Erinn is probably waiting for dinner. Shoot hold my phone for a second" I hand him my phone. I turn around and put my helmet on.

I throw my leg over the bike and take my phone back,"I guess I'll see you around Raven." It comes out mumbled but he replies,"Sure Blue Bear" with that I'm zooming off.

I pull at home and park my baby. I still can't believe everything belongs to me. I walk into the kitchen to see Erinn making dinner.

Something is wrong she never makes anything.

I walk up to her and hold her from behind." What's wrong ,you never cook Flutter?" I ask holding her tightly.

She sighs,"Alec hasn't phone me yet,I mean I think we totally hit it off,but now..."

I turn her around to face me." It's the 21th century, call him girl. Be the pants in the relationship" I tell her with a smile.

She hugs me so tightly I can't breath." Sometimes I wish you were my mother",she whispers so soft I almost didn't hear it.

My grip on her tighten, our hug only stops when both our phones start to ring.

Mellow heads up to her room saying it's Alec and I look down to see the person calling is Spencer.

Did they plan this?

Non the less, I answer just to be polite." How did you get my phone number Spencer?" I mumble.

"Geez Lum, no hey Spencer how you doing ? Oh i didn't mean to go missing whole day Spencer. But if you must know I actually freaked not knowing where you were and asked Erinn for your number" he says softly.

I sigh and start to continue making the spaghetti Mellow started for dinner." I was busy and I'm busy now." "Cool,I'll face-time you" and just like that he hangs up.

I don't know how long we spent on the phone just talking but it was nice. I'm still on face-time with him.

"W-we're having a street party to welcome you guys in a few weeks time, please tell me you're coming?"

I look at his face than up at my bedroom door before I head in,"Only if you prove to me you not some stuck up popular kid."

I put my hand on my door knob about to go in." You so on Lum. I'll prove it to you. Goodnight though." "Night Spens."

I step into my room not bothering to switch the lights on. The glow in the dark stars that I painted all over lighting up my room.

I make my way over to my bookcase and pull the bathroom decoration book and it gives way to the bathroom.

I take my phone with to play music. I decide a bath would be better right now. I gather the food fragrance bath bombs(the oreo one) and run the bath.

Once I'm completely laying in and the music is playing, they start again.

These damn tears, I make no sound but they were following. I must have cried for 10 minutes straight until my phone rings.

It didn't take me long to answer the phone without looking at the Caller ID. I hold back a sniffle and answer," Hello, Lumina speaking."

My voice was gruff but then I hear it a sniffle that's not mine." Hey Blue Bear, you busy"his voice a bit gruff too.

"Were you crying?",we ask the same time." No!",we say again together and I couldn't help but laugh lightly.I couldn't get over the thought that someone was like me too, well in a way.

I get out the bath waiting for him to go on." Wait are you in the bath right now?",he asks.

Well this isn't awkward at all.

I wrap my towel around me quickly,"Well,uhm...yeah" "I didn't mean to disturb, you know" he says out so quickly, I almost didn't get it.

It's fine I'm done anyway Raven"I say making my way to my music room in just a towel.

" I just called to vent in a way,sorry" he whispers into the phone." I know of something better" I say with a sad smile.

I take a seat at by piano and ready myself to play."It was my mothers favourite" I say and with that I play the tune of One and Only by Adele .

I make sure not to sing,which is difficult given for the fact that I'm crying again.

The tune comes to an end,"Are you the one playing?" he says voice sounding worse."Unfortunately not" the lie flies out my mouth.

"There was emotion and soul in that piece,even Adele would proud"he say his voice holding nothing but honesty.

Oh this boy.

"Are you going to hide from me forever Raven?", I can't help but ask before my brain can control my body.

"Goodnight Blue Bear"and he cuts the call.

A few weeks has passed, did I change?

Nope!

Things have changed though, well everything else around me to put it in a better way.

Erinn has a job,Alec and is a cheerleader (thanks to Becka). She is so happy ,everything good there.

Becka Thorn, your proudly born Texas girl, blonde and everything. She's known to be sweet like a toffee apple.

She won't even hurt a fly, really that's how sweet she is. Also she happens to be a new friend of mine. Don't get me wrong though ,I'm still invisible.

Just how I like it.

Spencer and I are close, I know it's soon but hey the guy stuck. He lives up to his words.

His sweet,smart and caring, don't forget that I get to sew his abs when he practises for a swimming meet. His also in charge of throwing the StreetParty that's happing this Friday.

Everyone is excited!

Me too wish! Don't mind my sarcasm.

Raven, biiissshhh don't get me started with that boy. Haven't seen him since the day at the pool.

Yet he phones me each night so we can listen to music before we fall asleep. I just wonder why part of me is sad about this.
