As the afternoon progressed, Xiaobai fell into a deep sleep, her dreams becoming peaceful, the bad dreams slipping away.
Dijun sat beside her and checked her forehead before getting a clean damp cloth and wiped her face gently. He was told by Si Ming that he needed to spread a rumour of the Princess learning banned magic.
After making sure she was feeling cool from the cloth, he went to sit at the table and read his book, he wanted to be close by and awake if something were to happen to her.
He now knew how much she meant to him and he thought her silly to sacrifice her place by his side so he could have a future.
He also knew he was more mentally attracted to Feng Jiu then he was with the Demon Princess Ji Heng, he knew she couldn't stay in Heaven for to long because she is the Queen of Qing Qiu
'Si Ming, I know what I must do to finish her trial, to bring her back' Dijun thought to himself, he would kill the Empress and frame it on her maid before revealing that he had killed her mother because he thought she was evil.
When Xiaobai finally woke from her sleep, she sat up in bed gently before looking over to where the Prince sat, reading his book with a cup of tea beside him.
'He has become good to me, but why does he want to be near me so much and want to marry me so badly?' Xiaobai thought to herself before getting off the bed and walked to his side.
"Your awake" he said with a smile and pulled her to him, kissing her forehead where her Phoenix Flower birth mark would usually sit.
"This feels like a very long dream to me, like it's telling me to wake up and that's what I have been trying to do, I feel like we are destined to be together" she said with a smile.
"We are supposed to be together" he said and kissed her softly before the door to Xiaobai's Palace opened and the Senior Head Maid walked in.
"Your Highness, I don't think you should be near the Princess, there have been rumours from the maids that her Highness has been using banned magic" she said.
"Your accusing me of using witchcraft?" Xiaobai asked dumbfounded as she stood up from Dijun's lap.
"The Empress requests the Imperial Princess to her chambers to discuss this matter" the maid said and stood to the side.
"Your Highness" she said and motioned with her hand as two Junior maids took her by the arms and dragged her unwillingly from her Palace.
Never had Xiaobai in her life thought that one of the maids of the Imperial Palace would turn on her like this. Furious, she shook the maids off her arms and ran her way to her mother's Palace.
Once arriving, she walked in without waiting and bowed to her mother.
"Mother, these rumours being spread about me is not true, I don't use magic and I don't know how to, I don't even believe in magic" the Princess pleaded to her mother who looked to her with sad eyes.
"But the proof is with the maids" her mother said standing up just as Dijun walked in shortly after the Princess, the maids trying to stop him.
"She has been with me all the time, I have the proof" he said after he bowed to the Empress.
"But what about when she was not with you?" the Empress asked.
"Her maid has been with her when I have not, she will give proof that the Princess doesn't deal in Witchcraft" Dijun said knowing he made a mess.
Soon after, Cha Cha was escorted to the Empress's Palace and swore under oath that she would tell the truth, she cleared the misunderstanding and told the Empress that her Highness never had anything to do with witchcraft at all.
As the misunderstanding was cleared up, the maids who spread the rumour were banished from the Palace and the city, never to come back ever again.
Xiaobai sat on her bed with Cha Cha beside her, trying to figure out what exactly happened to her and why the maids went against her.
"I think the Head Senior Maid should have been banished to, did you see the look on her face and hear the attitude she gave to you?" Cha Cha asked.
"You don't need to worry Cha Cha, I will protect her Highness with my life" Dijun said as Cha Cha smiled, thanking him.
Later that night, Xiaobai was sitting by her window, staring outside, she was thinking, but she didn't quite understand it herself.
Why would the maids in her Imperial Palace be out to get her? Is it because she was born into the royal family, or is it because she was even born to begin with.
Shaking her head violently and almost giving herself a headache, she then hopped off the windowsill and went to the table, she glanced over to see the Prince still sleeping in bed before going to grab a cup of water.
Sighing, she went outside for the nice cool air, seeing the stars twinkling in the sky, she then felt arms around her waist and she jumped startled, looking behind her to see the Prince standing behind her with a smile on his face.
"You frightened me a little there" she said before he kissed her to silence her words.
"I have not seen such beauty until I walked out to see you standing under the stars and moonlight, now I have seen my worth of beauty" he said and she smiled.
Xiaobai had never felt more happier then since she had met the Prince, but he never failed to disappoint her.
Between their first meeting to now, Xiaobai was very happy to have accepted his marriage proposal and travelled with him to see his parents and their festival.
In the next coming weeks, Xiaobai was given the duty to schedule the city's festivals to happen around her wedding day as sort of an extended celebration.
She sent out wedding invitations with the date written clearly on them even to her in-laws as well as a note about a festival she was holding for the week of the wedding.
As the Prince and Princess talked all night under the stars and moonlight, they laughed, Cha Cha was told to stay in her room until morning so they had her Palace to themselves for the night. They talked until morning, falling asleep at the very last minute.
Such blissful happiness surrounded Xiaobai during the weeks leading to her wedding, but she never failed to miss any important detail of the wedding.
