The next day, the Princess busied herself with wedding preparation as well for the festivals centering around her marriage to the Prince.
During those times, the Prince did his best to help Xiaobai, but as the days progressed, Xiaobai started to lack in her duties.
The young Princess started to feel nauseous and was throwing up in the mornings as well as sleeping during the day and eating more food, even at night she would eat food.
The maids and other Palace staff shrugged it off, Xiaobai even managed to wave off her mother and husband to be's concern saying she was just nervous about the upcoming wedding.
But after a few weeks with only the wedding and festival the next week, the Princess started sporting a belly.
While writing invitations with the Prince, Xiaobai got up to grab some flowers to put into the invitations, she collapsed to the ground, holding her stomach in pain, thinking it was from all the food she was eating.
The Prince laid the Princess in bed, Cha Cha brought the Empress and the Physician over to check on the Princess.
Getting to his knees beside the bed, he brought out Xiaobai's arm and placed his fingers on her pulse point on her wrist.
When he felt the slippery pulse, he then moved from the bed to bow to the Empress and Prince.
"Her Highness's pulse is slippery, a slippery pulse is to diagnose a woman who is pregnant" he said.
"Congratulations your Highness on your pregnancy, congratulations your Majesty on gaining a grandchild" he said bowing to them separately.
"Congratulations your Highness's on the news of your child" the maids said bowing to them as the Empress smiled happily.
"Congratulations Xiaobai, you are becoming a mother" the Empress said as Xiaobai sat up, Cha Cha rushing over to help her.
"Congratulations Prince Shen Ye of the Tang Dynasty for gaining a child" Xiaobai said as the Prince got to his knees beside her bed and bowed to her.
"Congratulations to you Imperial Princess for giving me a child" he said before sitting beside her on the bed and giving her a hug.
Knowing this would be the wrong thing to do, he had to get her betrayal done so he could bring her back to where she belonged.
A the week of the wedding and festival came to be, Xiaobai welcome her in-laws and showed them to their Palace close to the one she was sharing with the Prince. She decided to wait until the wedding to announce the happy news.
All through the first two days of the festival before her wedding, Xiaobai helped her in-laws travel around the village to experience the Wei's customs of the festivals. Xiaobai helped them the best she could, but before long, the Prince announced that the Princess had to return home.
On the day of their wedding, Xiaobai sat at her vanity table, looking at herself in the mirror, her lips painted red, her eyes lined with eyeliner and red eye shadow as her hair was done up with the traditional wedding pins.
Glad that her wedding gown covered her growing baby belly, Xiaobai slipped red earrings into her ears and a red jewel necklace around her neck.
The wedding ceremony was during the day, then the reception ceremony went well into the night as Xiaobai readied herself to walk to her husband.
When the time came, Xiaobai pulled the red silk over her head and held to her mothers arm who wore the official royal robes for her daughters wedding.
Walking from her Palace to the throne room where the wedding was held, everyone filled the seats while Shen Ye stood by the thrones awaiting his soon to be wife.
When she appeared at the doorway, she stopped to gain her breath since she was pregnant then nodded to her mother who began walking her to the Prince.
As she got there, the Prince helped her the rest of the way and stood beside her. As they did the customs, and bowed to heaven, to their parents before finally bowing to each other, they were announced husband and wife.
The Prince gently pulled the red silk off his wife's head and smiled as her smiling face. Dropping the silk to the ground, he kissed her in front of everyone who cheered and drank some of the wine.
As they pulled apart, Xiaobai turned to the guests and smiled.
"We have an announcement to make, since my mother is bursting with happiness. Last week we found out that I am pregnant with the Prince's baby" Xiaobai announced and cheers abrupted throughout the throne room with the news of the baby.
As the wedding became the reception, Xiaobai was sitting at the table, as guests came up to her and congratulated her on her pregnancy and her marriage to the Prince, some gave her flowers, some gave her newborn items for her baby.
Soon after, Xiaobai had to excused herself as she was feeling weak and nauseous and the party dispersed. The Prince carried her back to her Palace and laid her in bed and she soon fell asleep after.
Dijun had Cha Cha help the sleeping Princess out of her wedding garments and had them hanging up so they wouldn't get dirty. When the Princess did wake up, she dressed in her clothes and left her hair out as she walked to her in-laws Palace.
"Welcome your Highness" the Queen said as Xiaobai smiled and went to sit at the table, the Queen helping her.
"I know I didn't see you much last night since I have been super tired, but I have had some sleep so I wanted to come visit you and see what you think about the news" Xiaobai said as she talked with her in-laws.
Back at their shared Palace, the Prince woke up to find the bed empty and he knew he had to put his plan into motion. Leaving the Palace, he walked to the Empress's room, making himself invisible so it was easy to get in and get out.
Magicking up a sharp knife, he walked up to the sleeping Empress and stabbed the knife into her heart. Her eyes opened as she choked on her blood, she moved and fell off her bed as her silent screams died and she laid there, eyes closed and blood pouring from her mouth and wound.
By the next morning, hell was raised at the Imperial Palace.
(I am so sorry)
