Episode 17

When Feng Jiu woke up, she was in her bed in the fox den, her aunt sitting beside the bed holding a damp wet cloth to her forehead. Moving her hand away, Qian then helped her niece sit up on the bed.

"Gugu" Feng Jiu said looking to her aunt who sadly smiled at her.

"Why did you do that you silly foolish girl" Qian said and held the bowl of liquid for her niece to drink.

"I thought it would help" Feng Jiu said, drinking the liquid before coughing.

"Bitter" Feng Jiu said wiping her mouth from the excess liquid. The memories of her trial came to her and she looked at her aunt.

"Do you think Zhe Yan will give me the amnesia potion?" Feng Jiu asked and Qian looked at her, eyes wide.

"Why?" she asked as Feng Jiu told her of her trial, where she encountered friendship with her maid, romance with a Prince and betrayal by the Prince she married, even telling her about her unborn baby that passed.

Hugging her niece, she then held her hand out and there appeared a vial with the lid on. Qian then took the lid off and held it to her niece.

"Once you take this, there is no going back" Qian said knowing what it was like, she once experienced her love trial and ended up losing her eyes to Su Jin before jumping off the Zhu Xian Terrace after she gave birth to Ah Li.

Feng Jiu looked at the vial before lifting her hand and taking it, moving it to her lips, she downed the vial before falling back into bed her memories wiped of her trial.

Upon waking up the next morning, Feng Jiu woke up, her aunt asleep beside her bed, so she got up and laid her blanket over her aunt before walking out of the fox den.

When she saw the sunshine and felt the warmth on her skin, she then saw a white haired man wearing a purple robe, standing beside the outdoor table.

Feeling nothing towards the man, she walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder as he turned around and looked at the girl.

"Feng Jiu" he said and walked a step towards her, but she took a step back from him, she didn't know why he was like this towards her.

"Do I know you?" Feng Jiu asked scratching her head as her aunt appeared behind her, she walked down the stairs and to her niece, taking her by the arm and pulling her behind her back.

"Your Highness" Dijun says as Qian glared at him, she was not about to let her niece fall back in love with the man who hurt her badly during her trial.

"Get out of here and leave Feng Jiu alone" Qian spat through her teeth, she needed to do what she could to protect Feng Jiu.

'Why doesn't Jiu remember me?' Dijun thought to himself as he looked at the scared girl behind Qian.

'What does he want with me? Does he really know me?' Feng Jiu thought as she looked at the white haired man before sharp pain laced through her chest and she fell to her knees, grabbing a hold of her chest.

"Jiu!" Qian said when she felt her niece collapse as she turned around and picked her up in her arms. Dijun took a step to follow but Qian turned her head around to look at him.

"Don't follow me" Qian warned as she then took her niece inside and laid her on her bed, using her magic to heal the injury that formed in her chest.

When Qian left, Dijun stared after her, wondering what Feng Jiu did to forget him, before he walked off and vanished, appearing at his Palace where Ye Hua was waiting for him.

"Lord" Ye Hua said as he bowed to him before they sat at the table in Tai Chen Palace as his only maid poured them drinks and bowed before walking away.

"Princess Ji Heng has come to the Palace, we will have to finalise your marriage to her" Ye Hua said before Dijun looked at him.

"The only woman I will marry is not Ji Heng, Feng Jiu has forgotten me" Dijun said.

"The woman from your trial, it is most likely the Fox Queen, I have been through this with my wife the Empress" Ye Hua said.

"How do I get her to remember me?" Dijun asked looking to the Emperor.

"Keep chasing her" Ye Hua said, soon after they talked, the Emperor left to go visit the Fox Queen since the Empress was back in Qing Qiu, Dijun planned a way to get her to remember him.

Back in Qing Qiu, Feng Jiu resumed her duty as Queen, her aunt staying with her until she was better. When the Emperor came, Feng Jiu bowed to him as her aunt apologised for leaving without a word.

"I would like to bring Feng Jiu back to the Heavenly Palace, so she can rest herself at Heaven's Spring" Qian said as Feng Jiu watched them talk.

After Ye Hua agreed to the request, they all left for the Heavenly Palace, once there, Qian took Feng Jiu to the Spring, passing Dijun on the way there who talked to the Heavenly Emperor.

Qian left her niece to recuperate in the Spring, saying she would be back and left to go attend to her adolescent son who would experience a trial soon to ascend to the next level of cultivation.

While Feng Jiu soaked in the Spring, she closed her eyes and focused on her magic, building up the strength to fix the damage in her body.

Dijun stood behind one of the pillar's behind Feng Jiu, watched as she focused, he knew he hurt her badly, but he also knew that he did what he did to bring her home to her aunt and to where she would be safe.

After Feng Jiu gathered some of her strength, she got out and used her magic to dry herself off, as two maids helped her dress and place the pins back into her hair.

On the way out, Feng Jiu met with Dijun who looked at her sadly as she looked back at him, not place of recognition on her face.
