"Boss, I have the data you asked me about Kingsley. He hides his track well, sir." One of Victor's men handed out a file containing Grey's affairs. "Explain." The man cleared his throat and straightened his posture.
"The ten people in the file are the men and women told hold little to moderate significance in his life, some are no more than seasonal friends, however, they all suspected one thing about him. He has what we may call as a psychotic tendency. Maybe, more sociopathic as you can say."
Victor read through the documents with confusion. "How is that any useful to us?"
"Allow me to explain boss. He likes to toy with others, especially their feelings. Person number five saw this first hand. Her statement made it all clear how capable Kingsley is. Person number seven saw his, as I quote "strange behavior" at a gala. He likes doting on things that interest him and when he's bored, he will toss them away and ignore them. He does not have any suspicious activity however; his behavior makes the most of that."
The man explained further. "At the gala, he humiliated a person so hard, he killed himself three weeks after. Actually, he wasn't the person who directly inflicted the damage but he was the source of it all. The man did something to anger him, he got back-" Victor interrupted the man. "The fucker got back tenfold."
The man nodded in agreement. "Yes sir, he did. The man's family is not aware that Kingsley is the one who caused it. All they know it was the Rutherford family who was responsible."
"But no, they were all puppets to his disposal."
Victor now understood it well. The puzzles pieces now fit. The reason why Kingsley is so attached to Catherine. "That bastard is toying with Rosie. That selfish motherfucker…" He sipped a glass of cold whiskey. "The man's family is?"
"Winfrey, sir."
Then it clicked to Victor. His plan is all coming together. He knew what to do now. "Jeff, thank you for your hard work. But this is substantial information. You are now excused. Tell the others to fall back. We don't need to monitor Kingsley any longer."
"Yes sir, understood. I shall take my leave, good evening boss."
Victor let out a sinister laugh. It is now clear. "Ah, there is no need to rush then. I'll savor each and every day of my victory. Kingsley, it is about time you bow down to the real king."
He drank the whiskey to the very last drop. He got out his office, clicking footsteps echo through the dark hallway. His coat hanged on his broad shoulders; his messy blonde locks made him look even more dangerous yet sexy. His blue orbs glowed in the night. The excitement filled his veins. "Once Kingsley is out of the way, Rosie is mine for the taking. No more goddamn competition."
At a young age of 21, Victor run his part of the company. The transferee application of the school is just for show. He paid the dean to keep his mouth shut. He needed to make Catherine see he is just like any other person at the college. The flashback when he told her that he transferred to her school. He ought to create a useful alibi to keep up with his other lies.
Victor managed to find time to meet up with Catherine without Grey disrupting them. She is inside the classroom alone, class for Catherine wouldn't start in another 30 minutes. It was 2 PM and Grey had classes at that time.
He went inside the room and called her attention. "Victor? What are you doing here? Don't you have things going on?"
"Yes, but I decided not to do it." Lies. It was a lie. "And PS, you can't make me leave and that is final." Catherine sighed. "Alright then, sit here." She tapped the chair next to her.
"Guess what Rosie? I transferred to you school. I took on business administration." He flashed her with a wide grin. Catherine looked at him like she realized something. "Are you the one the people in my class have been talking? The handsome blonde transferee?"
