Twelfth Vow: Hearts Opened

Catherine and Victor sat beside each other with a small distance between them. The lights flickered every now and then and the night breeze chilled their recuperating relationship. The blonde man broke the silence.

"Rosie, I love you." He looked up to the starless sky, waiting for her reply. He waited for a few moments but the desired answer did not come. "I just want to let you know that I really do."

"I love you too, Victor. As I always have and will be, but only as best friends. I buried my feelings for you a long time ago yet somehow, you managed to find a shovel and dug it right up."

The wind caressed Catherine's silky brown hair. She loved the feeling of the cold. They sat on gentle tranquility. It took a while when the car Victor requested came to get them. "I apologize for the delay boss, there was an accident ahead. The traffic slowed me down." A man in a tuxedo bowed.

"It's fine." Young Master Victor dismissed the driver. "Rosie, come on, get inside it's pretty chilly being out here." Catherine did what she is told and hopped in the backseat alongside his best friend.

The ride back to his five-foot-tall mansion is slow yet relaxing. Victor wrapped his arm around Catherine's waist and leaned her head on his shoulder. "I'll wake you up when we get back." He softly whispered on her ear.

"Mmm." She drowned in sleep then.

'I wish I could hold you like this forever. Just the two us.' He snuggled with his Rosie. Giving her head a little kiss. 'Soon, it will all fall into place.'

After half an hour, they arrived at the estate. Victor changed his mind in waking his Sleeping Beauty. He picked her up bridal style and headed inside the warmth of his home. He decided to take her to his room. He held the gold-plated knob and the sound of door creaking illuminated the room.

He turned the yellow lampshade on and placed her on his soft black king-sized bed and pushed back her bangs to the side. He stared at her longingly, lovingly. He leaned in to kiss her forehead.

"Mine, definitely mine." Their noses touched and he let himself enjoy his moment of solace. He let his fingertips graze upon her fair cheek. Catherine's eyes fluttered open. "Hmm, Victor?"

"Yes Rosie?" She got up and checked her surroundings. 'I'm in Victor's bedroom.'

"Why didn't you wake me up?" Victor opened his closet in search for clothes she can wear. "Carrying you here is no big deal. You should change into these." He gave her his satin white pajama top and the smallest shorts he could find.

"Thanks." She changed in the bathroom and face her face. She neatly folded her clothes and placed them on the empty bathroom shelf. She got out with her messy hair sticking out and sleepy frame.

The clothes Victor gave her made her look even smaller than she naturally is. The top reached down a little bit above the knees, hiding the shorts. The sleeves are a few inches away from her hands.

She rubbed her eyes cutely and covered her mouth to yawn. "Where's the guest room?" Victor could only watch his darling. It took every single cell not to pounce. His face looking flushed just by staring at her. "Victor?"
