Fourteenth Vow: Flashbacks III

"Hey Victor?" The female asked.

"Yeah?" He looked at her.

"This feels awfully familiar, doesn't it?" Catherine proceeded to stare at the ceiling.

Catherine played with his soft messy blonde hair. He moved a little upper do that he'll be facing her. "This feels like the time I ended up in the infirmary." He is alerted by what she said. "Tell me their names and they'll see what messing with you is like."

His eyes had a predatory look in them, she is taken aback by his response. "I'm not bullied Victor, calm down." He relaxed and hugged her closer. "Remember when we were 15?"

"Yeah, they deserved what happened to them." He did not feel any sort of remorse of what he has done. If anything, the experience it self was satisfying for him. They truly got what they deserved, in the Victor's eyes.

The flashback continues.

Three hours passed before Catherine woke up. She saw Victor's hand clasping hers tightly. She smiled to herself and noticed his eyes were a little puffy. "He must've cried… You little crybaby."

She removed her hand from him but Victor just wouldn't budge. A few moments of trying he was awake. He hugged her tightly as he could. "I was so worried Rosie. Oh my god, thank goodness you're awake."

She responded. "I'm sorry for making you worry but I'm fine now, okay? Let's eat some burgers and fries when we go home." He nodded. He held her cheeks and looked at her with sadness in his blue orbs.

"Are you really sure that you're okay? Are you hurting somewhere? Let's go to a doctor today then we eat, hm?"

She shook her hands indicating she doesn't want to go to the hospital. "No! I'm fine, okay? I have my inhaler, I'm fine."

Victor clearly unimpressed. "No, we are going to the hospital whether you like it or not. You know when I got there, they didn't care what happened to you. What would've happened if I hadn't gotten there? Please Rosie, do it for me."

She gave in to his request. "Fine, but don't tell mom. This will stay between us."

"I promise."

The bell rung. Afternoon classes are over. "How long did you stay here? How long did I stay here? I can't believe I missed class today." Catherine didn't like missing out on lectures because coping with everything is so exhausting.

"I can't believe you right now! You're hurt and all you could worry are classes!" Victor scolded his best friend. "I could talk to the teachers into giving us homework. Problem solved."

He opened the clinic's door. "I'll be going back to the classroom to get our bags, so stay put and wait for me." She gave him a thumbs up.

Victor gritted his teeth as he walked to their classroom. Hell will soon break loose to the people who hurt his Rosie. He tried to compose himself and when he entered, none of his classmates went home and were silent upon his arrival.

A little too silent. How could they not? They messed with the person they shouldn't have. They will pay the extreme consequences that came with it.
