The Witch

Pedro landed in front of a small hut, Scarlet and Miracle sliding off of him once again that day. "So, you know this place?" Miracle asks.

"Yeah, Vicky asked me to bring her here once." Pedro admitted. "I kinda had to, since she did help me find one of my sisters."

"Makes sense." Scarlet says glumly, walking up to the door. "Well, should we knock?"

Pedro paused for a moment. "Ah, right." He turned around, and walked behind a tree. "I'm going to be over here, 'kay?"

Scarlet raised an eyebrow. "Why...?"

Pedro smiled nervously. "No reason...." Scarlet didn't say anything, just giving him an odd look before turning back to the door. She knocked on it, and the door swung open.

"Huh? Who is it? If it's a bandit I swear- Oh!" The person who opened the door smiled. "Hello there! Is there anything I can help you with?"

"Yeah, us three need to see someone. The wizard, just in case you didn't know." Scarlet explained.

"'Three'?" The woman echoed. Miracle waved at her, and she grinned slightly. "Where's the other one?"

"Oh, he's hiding behind that tree like a coward." Scarlet pointed over her shoulder. Pedro flinched. The woman's demeanor suddenly changed, a glare on her face.

"It's the thief from before!" She pushed Scarlet out of the way. "I'll kill you, bastard!"

Pedro ducked, as the woman rammed her head into the tree, breaking through the bark. Pedro ran away, as she continued to chase him. It was then Miracle noticed the large horns on her head, similar to that of a goat. There were green patterns on her face, similar to the patterns that were on her own white dress. She had short, flowing dark hair with a small laurel crown and bright green eyes. Pedro shrieked, running away as the woman chased after him. "Why'd you rat me out!?" He shouted.

"You deserve it." Scarlet crossed her arms, an amused expression on her face.

"Get back here!" She suddenly stopped, as a bright ring restrained her. "Wha- hey! Let me go! That thief is back!"

"Enough, Bubble...." A tired voice came from behind Miracle and Scarlet. "Leave Pedro alone." She had a large, black witch hat on, and bright red hair. She was rather short, with light brown eyes. A black cloak was covering up the rest of her body. Her finger was raised, a small light on the end, signalling that she was using some type of spell.

"But he's a thief!" Bubble shouted.

The new comer sighed, walking forwards, bowing her head. "No, no he's not. Sorry, Pedro. You know how Bubble is...."

Pedro let out a sigh of relief. "No, it's fine, Naomi. I understand."

Naomi nodded. "Hah... what a pain...." She turned back to Bubble. "Bubble, I'll let you go if you promise not to beat up Pedro anymore."

Bubble hesitated, before she reluctantly nodded. "Fine... but just so you know, Pedro! I'm only doing this because I don't want Naomi to be sad!" The ring around her disappeared, and she turned around with a huff. "I still don't trust you, just so you know!"

Naomi shook her head, turning to the group of three. "Anyways, what do you all need? I'm sure you're here for a reason...."

Miracle nodded. "Right, well, the thing is, is that someone called Victoria sent us here."

"Vicky?" Naomi repeated. She tapped her lip. "Hm... she only ever sends people to me when it's important...." Naomi sighed. "Hah.... this is going to be a pain, isn't it?"

Miracle winced. "S-Sorry, but it might." Miracle drew her sword, and held it out to Naomi. "Vicky thinks that this is the God Slaying Sword." Naomi stared at the blade for a moment, before she nodded her head.

"It seems similar...." She muttered. Miracle brought out the feather from before, the metal glowing once again. Naomi's eyes widened for a moment, before she nodded. "Vicky was right... this is that sword...." Naomi thought for a moment, before she turned around, inviting the group into her house. "Come on, I've got something to tell you all."

The group of girls followed after Naomi, Pedro slightly hesitant. He however, did end up following after them as well. Naomi gestured for them to sit down on the cushions she had all over the floor, as she sat down on one herself. Bubble sat right next to her, looking at the group suspiciously. "Before anything happens... let's all introduce ourselves. My name's Naomi... also known as the Great Mage!" She smiled slightly at the group.

"My name is Bubble! I'm Naomi's familiar!" Bubble raised her fists. "If anyone or thing tries to make a move to hurt Naomi, I will completely destroy them!"

"I don't doubt that..." Pedro states. "Anyways, you two already know me. I'm Pedro, just a dragon. That can take human form."

Miracle waved at them. "My name is Miracle! I'm just an adventurer, ah, well, God Slayer? I don't quite know...."

"I'm Scarlet. Just an adventurer." Scarlet said simply, resting her cheek in her hand.

"Nice to meet you all..." Naomi nodded. "Anyways... I'm sure you're all here to figure out what's with your sword, right Miracle?" Miracle nodded, placing the sword in between them. Naomi tapped it, a small repulsion coming from it. "Right. This sword can only really be wielded by the God Slayer, unless that person decides to let someone else use it." Naomi paused for a moment. "But, that does make the sword much weaker, since it has less of a connection with that person."

Miracle sighed, seeming a little disappointed. "Dang... I really would have preferred to give it to Scarlet... she seems more capable than me." Scarlet didn't say anything, but it was clear she agreed. Naomi shook her head.

"Don't think that way... there's a reason that you can use the sword." Naomi stated. "Anyways... even in the weaker state, it will still be able to defeat a god. It's just... much harder..." She trailed off slightly, seeming to remember something. She quickly shook her head. "I'm pretty sure that all gods know about the sword, so you may want to get a large group of people to defend against them.... They probably wouldn't like you hanging around in the world..."

Miracle shivered slightly, before she nodded. "Yeah, I guess so."

"That's not important right now." Scarlet said. "We want to go kill God."

"God?" Naomi repeated. The group of three nodded. Naomi hesitated for a moment. "Are you sure...? I mean... that's such a pain... hm...."

Miracle nodded vigorously. "Yes! He's been messing with our lives for far too long!" Miracle picked up the sword, and stared at it. "He needs to be stopped."

Bubble nodded as well. "Yeah! People like him should be killed!"

Naomi thought for a moment, thinking it over. After a moment, she finally nodded, but there was slight hesitancy. "I'll help... hah... what a pain...."

Miracle smiled, hugging Naomi. "Thank you! We really appreciate your help!" Naomi smiled softly, pushing Miracle away from her.

"It's fine... I was wanting to deal with him anyways...." She admitted. "There's a lot of other things that sword can do... but I don't remember right now..." Naomi stood up, tapping her lip. "We should try to get more people... so that we'll be more successful in our expedition...."

Miracle stood up as well, a bright smile on her face. "Right! Where should we start?"

"We could go back to Vicky." Pedro suggested, standing up. "I bet she would help."

Naomi nodded. "Yeah... she definitely would. She'd probably also have other people who would help us as well." She began walking towards the door. "Well... no time like the present...hah, this is going to be such a pain...." Miracle's eyes twitched slightly at the comment, getting slightly sick of it, but she decided to force the annoyance out of her mind. She couldn't think like that, Naomi was helping them.

Miracle instead opted for nodding her head. "Right! C'mon you guys, let's go!" She ran out after Naomi, the other three following close behind. They came outside, grouping together. "Alright, Pedro are you okay with a third time?"

Pedro nodded. "Yeah, I am. Question is, are Scarlet and Bubble up for it?"

Scarlet nodded. "I'll be fine." She paused. "Hopefully."

"What are you two talking about?" Bubble asked. "I'm not going anywhere with this thief!"

Pedro sighed. "For the last time, I'm not a thief. I didn't even steal anything. But, that's going to be an issue if Bubble doesn't trust me enough for this." He turned around, shifting back into the form of a dragon. Bubble's eyes widened, as did Naomi.

"Wow... I didn't know Pedro could do that..." Naomi admitted. She turned to Bubble. "Bubble, I know how you feel, but this is important.... So, could you leave it be and just get on...?" Bubble hesitated, before Naomi offered something. "I'll give you a kiss!"

Bubble blushed slightly, before she turned around and nodded. "F-Fine! But understand this, Pedro! I'm only doing this because of Naomi!"

Pedro sighed. "I wouldn't think of it in any other way...." He laid down in the grass, the four girls climbing on top of him. He quickly went into the air, flying at quite a high speed. Naomi and Bubble seemed to be enjoying themselves, as they were laughing with each other. Miracle smiled at them softly. They really are good friends aren't they? Maybe even more, with that comment Naomi made....

Miracle laughed to herself softly. Maybe I could have had something like that... if I just hadn't let go that day…

The ground was shaking, a storm rolling in. Miracle was running down the streets, the water splashing beneath her. She was wildly turning her head around, trying to spot her friend. She finally saw him running down the streets. "Matias!" She screamed.

He came to a stop, turning around. His eyes widened as he spotted Miracle. "M-Miracle? What are you still doing here?"

"I could ask you the same thing!" Miracle shouted back. "We've got to go!"

Matias blinked, before shaking his head furiously. "No! I'm not doing that!"

Miracle was shocked. "What do you mean?! You're in danger! You can't go sacrificing yourself! This is God, we're talking about!"

Matias bit his lip, looking behind him and stepping back a little. It was clear he wanted to leave. "Miracle... you don't understand…!"

Miracle stared at him with wide eyes, before she narrowed them. "What do you mean, 'I don't understand'?! Understand what?! That you're trying to go and get yourself killed?!" Matias flinched slightly at her volume. "Listen, Matias! I've known you for a long time now, I can't just afford for you to just let yourself get killed!"

"But that's just it!" Matias shouted back. "Someone I've known for longer that you suddenly showed up, and I need to talk to them!"

Miracle frowned. "You... you're just going to leave me behind because of someone that left you a long time ago?"

Matias glared at her, making Miracle shiver slightly. "It's not just 'someone'! He was my first ever friend, I can't just leave him alone again! If I was… I couldn't live with that fact!" Matias shook his head, turning around. "I have to go. I need to understand, and I need to figure out what's happening. I'll see you later, Miracle…." Matias went to start running, when Miracle grabbed his wrist. Matias whipped back around, a slightly angry expression on his face. "Miracle-"

"Matias, you just can't!" Miracle screamed. "I can't lose you! You're my friend, why can't you understand that?" She begged him for an answer, tears slowly spilling from her eyes. "Why do you care about them so much? Haven't they been missing for years? They left you behind, and you feel so obligated to cling to them?"

Matias grit his teeth. "I was the one who abandoned them first! If I hadn't, he wouldn't have gone missing!" Matias winced, as Miracle watched a few tears slip down his face. He quickly shook his head, before he turned around. "If I hadn't done that, maybe this wouldn't have happened…. So let me go! Please, Miracle..."

Miracle looked down at her hand, never wanting to let go. But... Matias was practically begging her to let him leave. No, that didn't matter. Matias was going to die, if she let go. She couldn't let it happen, even if it hurt him in the end. Miracle squeezed her eyes shut, her grip tightening. She shook her head, before she pulled him back. "I'm not letting you!"

Matias yanked on his hand, making Miracle lose her footing. "Let go! You don't understand what's happening!" The two struggled for a bit, as Matias tried to shake her off. Miracle was refusing to let go. Matias narrowed his eyes, as he pried off her fingers. He pushed her away from him, turning around and running away as fast as he could. He called out a name, but she couldn't hear it over the rain.

"Matias!" Miracle shouted. Matias must have heard it, but he just frowned and kept running. Miracle pushed herself off of the ground, going to run after him, but he was already long gone.

Miracle blinked, sighing slightly. I shouldn't have let him go so easily.... She thought bitterly. Miracle rested her cheek on her hand. I should have gone with you, or just tried harder. That's what I should have done. Now, you're just gone.... Miracle sighed again, closing her eyes. Well, there's nothing else I can do about it. It already happened. I'll get revenge on God.

I swear it.
