four; let the 75th hunger games begin!

The next morning, Aqua woke Isla and Finnick up. She made Finnick leave right away, not even giving him a chance to say goodbye to Isla. Then, Isla was told to shower and get dressed in a simple shirt and trousers.

She was lead to the hovercraft that would be taking them to the arena. There, she sat and waited for someone to insert a tracker into her arm. The same tracker she had been told she would need to remove from her arm later on. When they inserted it, she leaned back and closed her eyes. They arrived at the arena, and a pair of Peacekeepers marched Isla to her little room, where Aqua waited.

After convincing the redhead to have some food, Aqua helped her get dressed in her clothes for the arena, which was a fitted blue jumpsuit with, made of very sheer material that zippers at the front. A six-inch-wide padded belt covered in shiny purple plastic and a pair of nylon shoes with rubber soles.

Isla looks at the outfit curiously, she runs her fingers over the material of the jumpsuit and narrows her eyes. "Feels like a swimsuit."

"Well then, you'd be in your element."

"Let's hope so."

"Before you go, Haymitch had something dropped off." Aqua headed to one of the tables and lifted a gold bracelet with a pattern of flames on it. "He said you'd know what to do with it."

Isla took it and slipped it around her wrist. The first time around, she didn't have a token, and she didn't this year either, until Haymitch told her he'd have something sent over. This must be it. How to win Katniss over, and let her know they were the good guys.

Isla hugged Aqua one last time before heading to the glass tube, which opened and let her in, before sealing itself shut again. Moments later, it began rising up and Isla smelt it before she saw it. Her lips curled up into a smile when she did. Salt. Sea water to be specific.

And when she had risen completely and the glass disappeared, Isla let out a whoop that she was sure the people near her had heard. She was surrounded by water. She was in a little section with another tribute, and there was a spoke on the other side, made of rocks. They led to the Cornucopia, where weapons lay gleaming. Isla could see the silver trident, practically calling her name. She couldn't see Finnick, he must be on the other side.

Isla blocked everything out, she focused completely on the Cornucopia, to the point where she didn't even see Peeta waving at her from her other side. As soon as the gong when off, she dove into the water perfectly and swam over to the rocks. She glided effortlessly through the water, too effortlessly, but she ignored it.

As soon as she reached the rocks, she pulled herself up on it, her hands slipping a few times due to the wet nature of it and gaining a few scratches, but when she finally did, she stood and sprinted as carefully as she could towards the tridents. When she got there, she grabbed two, one she held in her hand and the other one she stuck in a holster that she found and slipped on to her back.

Isla grabbed a bag, and some knives that she attached to a belt she found. Then she looked around, trying to find someone she knew, Katniss, Peeta, Finnick, Johanna, but none were there. She heard sounds come from behind her, and she turned to see a tribute coming at her with a dagger. She threw the trident and the cannon boomed.

Isla turned the other way to see Cashmere grinning at her, and then advancing with a deadly blade gripped in her hand. She swung at the girl, and Isla swung back, managing to cut the District One girl's abdomen slightly, not enough to be a serious injury. The blonde snarled and lashed out, cutting Isla on the cheek and causing blood to trickle down into her mouth, where she spat it out, scrunching up her face at the metallic taste.

Isla knew she couldn't wait for Finnick and the ones she was meant to protect, she had to find them when the bloodbath was over. When all of it calmed down. So, she managed to hit Cashmere enough to distract her, and then she made a mad dash for it, sprinting down one of the spokes until she got to the beach, then headed into the forest, hoping to find somewhere to camp for the night.

Isla ended up not going that far in but staying well hidden. She picked a tree and scaled it. it wasn't a very tall one, it was a normal size, and it would help her stay hidden and still see what was going on. She sat there for a little while, looking through her bag.

Inside it she found some dried beef strips, a hunting knife, some rope and an empty canteen. She groaned and looked up. "Couldn't you have given me some water in that?"

Isla spotted bushes move, and she pulled out a knife from her belt and flipped it in her hand, holding it in a way where she can easily throw it. A tribute came out, the male from 10. He looked around and spotted Isla sat in the tree. Her bright red hair always did the trick, that's how everyone knew she was there.

The boy pulled out a bow and nocked an arrow. He took aim but before he could fire, Isla had thrown the knife and it landed right in the middle of his forehead, causing him to collapse, and the cannon to boom. The girl climbed down and collected her knife before checking his clothes to see if he had any supplies. He had a small bag that had some dried fruit, rope and a gun in it. She grabbed the fruit and stuck the gun in her bag, leaving the rope. She wouldn't have any use for it.

She opened the pack of dried fruits and snacked on it, regretting not having more to eat before the games. Once the pack was empty, she dumped it on the ground and continued walking around, searching for a source of fresh water or something to eat. She came across some a weird creature, it looked like a combination of a rodent and a squirrel, and it certainly didn't look nice.

But, she was hungry. A knife to the head did the trick and Isla skinned the thing and cut it into slices. She had no choice but to light a fire, and she wasn't worried about someone finding her, they should be worried, not her. She knew she could fight them off. So, she gathered wood and leaves and got a fire started before cooking the slices of meat above it and then eating them, savouring every bite as if it were her last.

As soon as she finished, she kicked some dirt on top of the fire, causing it to go out, and then climbed another tree. It was getting dark, but Isla knew she wasn't going to be getting any sleep, not anytime soon. She closed her eyes anyways, listening to the sound of crickets and feeling the hot wind blow over her.

Sometime later, she saw a bright flash, and opened her eyes, squinting to see lightning hit a tall tree close to her. She decided that her being in a tree may not be the best decision, seeing as she might get hit with lightning too, and so she climbed down and walked around, eyes heavy with exhaustion.

Then, she felt a drop fall on her head and sighed in relief. Rain. It must be what follows the lightning storm. She closed her eyes, looked up and opened her mouth. But when she felt a metallic tang in her mouth, she gagged and dropped to her knees, emptying her stomach of everything in it, from the fruits to the blood she accidentally ingested.

She heaved, until she couldn't get anything out anymore. But the rain kept pouring, heavy, thick, hot. She lifted a hand and looked at it. Red. This was blood rain. Isla stood and stumbled around, blinking and wiping her face, trying to see, but she kept getting covered in the blood. It went down her suit, it got in her hair, it went down her throat, in her eyes, in her nose, her ears. It went everywhere.

Isla tripped over a vine and went down, hitting her head on a log and going unconscious.
