Confrontation

He flew listening to the sound of birds chirping and the oceans singing. High he went up toward his home, the palace in the sky. What would his father say? What would his father do to him? He broke through the puffed white of clouds as he closed his green eyes.

He didn't say goodbye to his former brother. To be honest, he wasn't sure if he had the heart to. The last time he said goodbye was the time everything fell apart. His brother confronted their father, his brothers fought, and the once favored angel fell with blood dripping on his dove colored wings. The look on his face when his fallen brother's honey colored eyes looked at him was devastating. The pain etched all over his face and Gabriel… Gabriel did nothing but watched.

Opening his green eyes, the kind angel did not want to see that pain once more. Although Lucifer would hate him, the angel had to return. He had to speak with his father and maybe… maybe they could come to some agreement where neither Heaven nor Hell would be angry.

There had to be a solution.

Arriving at his destination, Gabriel walked through the golden gates. Glancing around him, he saw some of his brothers and sister looking at him. Their lips held a scowl and their brows were dipped, but they still greeted the elder angel. Nodding at them, Gabriel ignored the anger emitting from their souls, as he headed to where his father would be.

The number of angels are less at the moment and the powerless angel hummed with a frown. Many of his siblings must be in the healing chambers, so he decided to visit them once he was finished speaking with his father. Walking down the white tiled floors, glistening like little stars, he headed to the large oak doors. Voices could be heard, making his slow down his steps.

'Who was consulting with his father?' He wondered, before standing straight.

He should leave. Eavesdropping and listening in on a conversation that does not consist of him, he was about to turn back when he heard a loud noise. Quickly walking up to the doors, he pushed it open with his whole body. Shoulder against the hard oak, he banged into the door. When it was opened enough for him to slip through, he saw who was in the room.

Green eyes moving from Adam to Michael to Raphael to… Eve?

Blinking in the confusion, he sent a look to his father who was staring right at him with his piercing eyes.

"Gabriel, you have returned."

The words of his arrival halted his brothers, as they all turned to him. Standing straighter, he walked forward until he was before his family. Bowing his head, he greeted them.

"Father, brothers. I have returned."

"Where the Hell were you?" The red headed angel grabbed his shoulder.

"I am fine," he replied instead, only to receive a death grip on his shoulder.

"That was not what I asked," Raphael gritted out, "Did that disgusting demon lay her hands on you as well? It is alright brother; we will kill her."

Before he was able to speak, a head of blonde blocked his vision and shoved the Shadow Angel away.

"Don't you speak of killing her!"

"OH, only YOU can kill her?" The redheaded angel let out a laugh, "Look how good that did. You are too much of a puss-"

"Enough!" Their father shouted and the room quieted down, but Adam still had a lot to say.

Earlier, he had grabbed the imposter by the wrist and pulled her from his chambers all the way to his father. He needed to know if this was a joke. What was his father thinking this would do? Please him? Make him want to die even more? What was the reason to… for… what the fuck did He want from him?!

When he pushed the doors opened without the curtesy to knock, he interrupted a conversation his brothers and his father were having. They looked startled for a moment, before his father's eyes turned to the female he dragged with him. Tightening his hold, he pulled her with him to question the All Mighty God.

"Who is this? Why did you create her?! Tell me!" Adam demanded tossing the female before them.

From the looks on his brothers- Michael and Raphael- they looked surprised with their eyes widening. His blue eyes stared into the powerful one's eyes and waited. Lips thinned, his father sat back on his throne.

"What is the problem, my son," God spoke, "Are you not satisfied?"

"Father," he gritted out with fists at his sides, "What are you trying to prove?"

His father did not say anything and Adam found his whole body trembling with anger. Did He think that he was only attracted to Eve because of her body? Does He think by creating this female to make love to him and please him would… would keep him in Heaven? The blonde moved his electrifying blue eyes to the female who was standing up. She was rubbing her wrist, the one he had gripped, and was still naked as the day she was created.

"If you made her for me, I do not want her."

"But is she not someone you are pleased with?" His father stated with the feeling of frost within those words.

"She is not the one I love," Adam admitted with a defeated sigh.

"The one you love could be dead because of you."

He felt his body tremble not from anger this time, but from the chill of ice covering his skin. He… he tried but she wasn't… she was strong. She was alive. She had to be alive. She wasn't dead. She wasn't!

"She isn't dead. I know she isn't," he said softly turning his eyes back at his father.

There was a scoff from the redhead and his blue eyes narrowed at the angel.

"Of course you'd know. You were the one shooting at her the whole time, weren't you?"

He swore… if Raphael was not his brother, he would kill him... close to it.

"You weren't even there. You have no reason to speak," he spitted out.

"I saw and was told enough to know how weak you are!" The angel barked back getting up to his face.
