Dear Imena,
I remember Adam thinking I was crazy when I told him. If another trihybrid had been born in the Kingdom, it would've been talked about a lot, but he had never heard anything. I had Adam meet Andrew to see for himself, he didn't think I was crazy after that. He didn't say it, but I knew he was just as worried as I was.
Things were very calm for a while after that, I spent some time with Andrew and got to know him a bit. If there hadn't been a prophecy tying us together, I definitely wouldn't have liked him. He was basically my long lost twin, an annoying sibling I didn't know I had and didn't want.
A few months after I met Andrew, I was given a job. By the time each member of the council reached their seventh and final year of Academy, they were given a job. For example, Adam is the face of the Vail, when there are problems in the other realms he makes sure we don't get involved in anything that is none of our business. He's pretty much the Vail's personal peacemaker, which is funny because he's the least calm and peaceful person I've ever met. My job is to protect humans from supernatural beings and forces. That means I take care and get rid of any mythical monsters, aliens, or even hybrids and any of the other Original Beings that humans don't think exist if they cause trouble. When I started, there was a lot to take care of on Earth. I would go to Earth with Queen Luna of the Cancer division because her job involved cleaning up pollution in the Earth's atmosphere and water especially. All of our jobs were difficult in their own ways, exorcisms and calming ghosts became second nature to me, but with most of the human population traveling in cars, airplanes, trains, and other vehicles like that, Luna had her hands full. I learned how to move and manipulate the elements and separate the bad particles in the air and water so that, if I got finished with my assignments before she was done, I could help her out a bit.
Not long after I started working, I had an assignment that was going into pretty much blind. The only information I had was a group of humans were hunting hybrids for unknown reasons. This was outside my job description, but the council couldnt find any case like this in the kingdom's records and it worried us, so I volunteered to find out what this group was doing and stop them. The job took me to a forest in the middle of the night. When I got close enough to the group I placed a spell that allowed my ghost side take over me so I could get closer without them seeing me. They had and Angel-Ghost hybrid with them. The hybrid was laying on the ground with their hands and feet tied, they were unconscious. The hybrid's captives were all human as I expected, and they were all gathered around the hybrid and a fire. Who I assumed was the leader of the group, was holding a knife over the fire. He then took the knife over to the hybrid and placed it near the hybrid's wings.
I didn't need to watch to know what was going to happen, so I grabbed the knife and threw it into the dark forest. The humans were beyond confused and panicked and I took advantage of it. I released the spell I had on and appeared to them in my real form. Something inside me took over from there, I wasn't completely in control but I saw everything. I didn't hurt anyone, but the ground was breaking apart, there was fire everywhere, tree roots were grabbing at ankles, there was screaming, but I was standing still. The leader did try to fight me off, but his technique wasn't very good so he was easy to dodge and knock down. I do remember leaning down to look him in the eyes,
"Don't mess with my people again. I may not be as nice next time." I told him, then I picked up the unconscious hybrid and opened a portal back to the Vail and was gone.
When I got back, the council was waiting for me and I had the other hybrid taken to a hospital. It took me a while to gain control of myself again, James told me much later that my eyes were black, but as soon as I had control again they went back to brown. I told the council what happened with the group, I thought maybe they'd be upset that I let them go with no consequences, but they figured I probably scared the group enough that they won't want to mess with hybrids again and I agreed. How wrong and naive we were.
