Milo

Dear Imena,

I started high school on Earth about six months later. Three months in, I met Milo. In a class we had together, the teacher assigned everyone partners in order to work on a project, and our teacher put Milo and I together.

After being put in pairs, we were told to sit next to our partners so we could start talking about the project.

With his handsome face, gentle dark eyes, and curly brown hair, he was one of those guys every girl fawned over, but I honestly didn't think much of him at first. He was very quiet, kinda awkward, but I figured that was because we didn't know each other too well. I tried to talk to him about the project and things like that, but he didn't respond much.

Finally, the class was ending so I started packing up, and Milo tapped my shoulder. I turned around to see him holding a piece of folded paper out to me. Awkwardly, I took the paper and unfolded it.

It was his phone number.

"Oh, thanks. I'll text you ok?" I said.

He nodded and hurried off to his next class.

Later that day, I texted Milo. This time, it was a lot easier to talk to him about the project. Over the next few weeks, we worked really well together. A couple times, we met up at my house, his house, or at a park to work on the project. In fact, we got a very good grade on the it in the end.

A few days after we turned in our project, Milo texted me again;

Milo: Hey, there's something really important that I need to tell you.

Me: Ok, what's up?

Milo: Could you meet me somewhere? I'd like to tell you in person if that's possible.

Me: Sure. When and where?

Milo: Well I can come to your house and meet you outside in about five minutes.

When I got the text, I was in the Vail at my castle. I told him it was ok, made sure I looked presentable, and teleported to my home on Earth. By the time I got there, the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it!" I yelled to my parents, as I ran over to the door.

I opened the door to see Milo standing there.

"Hey!" I said smiling. I walked outside and closed the front door behind me. Together we walked down the driveway a bit and sat down on the pavement. We were both quiet for a while before I spoke,

"So...what did you want to talk about?"

"Well," he said before taking a deep breath, "Look, I think you're great, and I really like talking to you, and...and...ugh!"

Just then, he quickly leaned toward me, and kissed me.
