Dear Imena,
I walked up to the General and his ghost colleagues, with Rhea still trying to fix my sleeve.
"So you all knew Andrew was coming? Care to tell me why you didn't say anything?" I asked.
"Well Miss Rose," the General said, "we were under the impression that you knew exactly what was going on."
I stared at him in disbelief. "How was I supposed to know when you don't communicate?"
"You can read minds. I figured you read our minds and immediately started making plans."
"General, there are a lot of things wrong with that comment there. 1. You're dead. All of you are. I know that may be hard to hear, but it's the truth. You guys don't have brains anymore, therefore, I cannot read your mind if there is no mind to read. Got that part? Ok.
"2. I never have and never will make plans involving arresting Andrew and preventing situations like today from happening without any of you. I hired you all because, in your life times, you led your armies to victory and you were good leaders. I was hoping you would help me be a good leader, but maybe it's the times, or maybe you weren't as good of a leader as the history books say, but a good leader can communicate and doesn't expect others to just know what's going on. So your claims are ridiculous, untrue, and infuriating."
"You don't seem very angry." one of the General's colleagues said.
I glared at him, "Do you really want to see me angry? I don't think you'd like it."
The ghost was silent.
I looked at all of the ghosts floating there in front of me, "You all need to learn how to communicate. If you can't, I can't work with you. That being said, because of today's Incident..." I sighed, "You all are suspended until further notice, I'll call you back sometime soon if you still have a job. You're dismissed."
The ghosts all nodded and disappeared.
I walked back over to Milo and Adam. James was standing there with them now, too.
"Hey, Spirit. Your boy's all caught up, he knows about everything now." Adam said.
"I get that he had questions but we were just going to erase his memories and replace them with something else weren't we? That's what we're doing for all the other humans." James said.
"Well, this one is Spirit's boyfriend, so he's different. Plus, I have reason to believe that he should come back to the Vail with us. So if he knows about everything in advance, he probably won't pass out from shock when we get to the Vail." Adam said, grinning.
"Why does he need to come back with us? Andrew's gone." I said.
Adam's expression suddenly became very serious. "Well, remember, there's still another part of the prophecy that hasn't come true yet. Your boyfriend here may have the piece that will kick off the last section, and I think Andrew is after it."
