Packing

Dear Imena,

I began packing supplies for what hoped would be a short trip. Adam protested while I packed.

"You're really going out there?" he asked. "What if it's a trap?"

"I'll figure it out, Adam. I'm pretty smart." I said, patting his shoulder as I moved past him to grab a first aid kit.

"But if it's Andrew...he could hurt you." he said.

"Not anymore than I could hurt him." I responded.

My ghost friend, Skipper, came into the room where I was packing and handed me a little pack of food he had had prepared for me. I thanked him and put it in my pack, then began to arm myself with weapons. I placed knives of different kinds and sizes in sheaths on my belt and in my bag. Then I grabbed my prized artifact, the trident that had belonged to Maia, the previous and first Queen of the Pisces division.

"Where are you gonna hide that? Humans will freak out if they see you walking so find with that." Adam said.

I rolled my eyes, walked over to a cabinet in the room, and grabbed some ingredients for a spell. Muttering a chant in my first language, Latin, I not only made the trident appear to be a skateboard, but I made myself look different too. My brown curly hair was now straight and royal blue, and my eyes silver. I hid my wings, and made myself less transparent, and Jay came back to help me pick out clothes to "make the skater story believable."

Adam was still unhappy.

"What about Milo?!" he yelled from another room while I was looking for shoes to match my outfit, "You're just gonna leave him here to sorry about you?"

"Isn't she one of the most powerful beings to have ever lived?" Milo asked.

I could feel Adams annoyance from the other room.

"Well babe? Are you worried?" I asked Milo as I walked I to the room he and Adam were in.

"Of course. But I also know you'll be ok, you're the strongest, it makes more sense for you to do this." He responded.

Adam was dumbfounded. I smiled at Milo, kissed him, and headed for the front door.

"I'm going with you!" Adam announced as I reached the door.

"No you're not." I said, turning around, "It could be dangerous for you if it is a trap. Besides, the Vail needs you here."

Adam rolled his eyes, then he spotted Skipper.

"Have Skipper go with you. He's already dead, he can't get any more dead." Adam said.

Skipper and I glared at him, but I thought about it.

"Well I guess it will be kinda lonely. Do you want to come with me, Skipper? I have a spell that will make you look less transparent." I said.

"You mean it, miss? Yes! I would love to!" Skipper exclaimed.

I laughed and cast the spell on Skipper, making him look more alive, literally. I gave Milo one last hug and a kiss, hugged Adam, then Skipper and I were off.

Before we left, I had one more stop to make. We down the abandoned trail, and made it to the destination. He was already there.

"You'll meet me back here?" he asked.

"Yes, give me three days." I said.

He nodded, and I opened a portal. Before I could step in, he tapped my shoulder. I looked back and he had his arms out towards me. I quickly hugged him, then stepped through the portal with Skipper.

The last thing I saw was James smiling at me.
