Dear Imena,
Andrew lunged at me with a knife in his hand, but I didn't move. The knife went right through me without leaving a scratch.
"New party trick, Rose?" Andrew asked.
"No, I just wanted to show off a bit." I said, as I unstrapped my folded trident from the inside of my robe sleeve and let it fall into my hand as it unfolded.
Andrew pulled back and prepped to try for another hit, but I blocked him with the trident and disarmed him. But we both went to an Academy in our younger years, we both knew you never walk into a fight without having multiple weapons, so I wasn't surprised when he drew another blade from his boot.
We continued to attack and block each other. Neither of us ever left a scratch on the other, we know each other's fighting styles and tendencies, we could predict each other's moves and block them easily. Andrew and I having an equal level of power meant our fights always ended in a stalemate and few to no injuries, but this time was different.
Something was different about Andrew. Nothing changed about him physically or strength and power wise, but his aura was different. Being around him was like being around something evil, everything in me was telling me to run and get far away from him, but curiosity kept me there.
Eventually, Andrew got tired of the attack and block pattern we created. He screamed in frustration and threw down his blade.
"Enough of this! This, you, it all ends now!" he yelled, and began to change.
Red patches began to form on his skin and grew bigger, as if he had huge infected bug bites all over him. As the red patches got bigger, so did Andrew's entire being. I could only watch in shock as he grew and grew, eventually hitting the ceiling that had been ten feet above us before, and breaking through it.
Dodging debris, I continued to watch Andrew change. The red patches now looked like red bubbles coming out of Andrew's skin, he was at least twelve feet tall, and completely unrecognizable.
As I stood in confusion, the other Council members and Milo burst into the destroyed room.
"Spirit, what are you doing?! This place is falling apart and you're just--" Adam said as he saw the monstrosity in front of us.
"Oh good, you can see it too. I thought I was going crazy there for a minute." I said.
