Who is she?
"Honey... are you sure? Not bringing him along with us is a good idea?" The man asked his wife walking along with him. The wife just nod her head smiling to his question. "Okay then if you say so.... but kids need to see this side of nature rather than hanging every time on mobiles." He said signing.
"Its okay. Next time we can bring him along. I told you he had a soccer match and how crazy he goes for that." She replied beaming happily soon joined by the man. "Yea.. we should. And this place is really calming too.. far from city as well." He said enjoying and sniffing the sudden breeze of air twirling around.
"Should we meet mother first.. then we can go by the riverside we first met. What do you think?" The lady asked anticipating her husband's reply. He glance at her and scrunched his face as if he was thinking which received a smack from her as he nod laughing enjoying their moment.

"I must say mother is still strong and doing good." The women said looking at her husband. "She is my mother.. of course!! She would be. But I just wish she can fight for her illness." He said signing and worried. "Don't worry tho she will do fine. If she had agreed to come with us we could take care of her. She stay here alone and its not good." The lady joined her husband signing.
Having an not so old lady maybe of 60's living alone in the countryside after her husband's death but she unfortunately suffered from cancer. She denied to move from there as she cherished the house and the memory it holds. Knowing those were her last days she wants to be somewhere she loves and feel home. She is supposed to be in late stage. And the couple are worried on about their mother. So they were here to visit her and ask her to come to city with them and get enough care and treatment. They even hired maids but none did their job properly resulting in dismissing everyone.
Having checked up on their mother they decide to head to the riverside. But it was not what they thought would be. They were unaware of the things they gonna find out....

"How long are we gonna stay here, honey?" Asked the lady. "Just few minutes.. lets have a walk." The man said standing up dusting the dirts that may have been on his pants. He then looked down to his wife and extends his hand for her to grab which she does happily. They both start walking down the riverside recalling those days where their love blossomed. Where they used to come secretly to met each other and spend time. How they loved this place.. reminding them of their fruitful days.
"Honey... I think I saw something there?" The lady said pointing out somewhere in between the logs of tree that had partially fell on the river. "What do you mean?" He replied eyeing towards the direction his wife showed and her confused.
"There.." she said walking towards it. She reached near the river while a gasp followed by a loud scream escaped her mouth. The man upon hearing his wife screaming stumbling back down on the ground reached to her worried and shocked. "What happened?" He asked getting on his knees and caressing her head while tear started brimming out of her eyes.
"There...there.. I saw a hand... I saw a girl.." she said panicking. While the man went near to the edge and his jaws fell down bewildered to see a young girl almost same as his son unconscious held by the tree. He felt bad for her as he went near to the girl. He grabbed the hand which was slightly near for him and examined her pulse. Which fortunately was going on but too slow. Having a thought of saving her life he pulled her out.
"Is she.. okay?" The lady asked eyeing her husband fidgeting with the branched to pull her out without scratches. "Yea.. she is alive but we need to take her to hospital.. she may not hold for long.. and her head is bleeding. Maybe she hit her head on rocks while being swept away by the waves!" He said still pulling her out slowly. She just nod her head tho her husband would not see. She just observed her husband trying to take her out.
He finally got the girl out of the tree and hurriedly picked her up bridal style and ran for nearby clinic.

"Doctor!... Is she okay?" The couple asked together when they saw doctor coming out from the room where the girl was being treated. As soon as the question came out from them the doctor heaved a deep sign. "Is she your daughter?" He asked when they responded shaking their head no. "I have to say its amazing to find her still alive and fighting for her life though her lungs are almost filled with water. And she had hit her head multiple times causing her brain to shut for now. She may even have amnesia." He concluded while the couple were sorry for the poor girl who had to suffer. "When will she wake up tho.." the male asked receiving "Its a bit hard to say. Are you gonna be responsible for her? You have to sign for payment." from the doctor.
The man did sign the papers as he was glad he could afford for her expense as he is quiet a famous business man. After having done with all the formalities they patiently waited outside so that they can see her after being approved.
They felt worried about her when the officer couldn't manage to find out about the identity of young girl. As the reply they got was they had not received any cases of a girl being missing and that they would inform once there comes a case like that which they nod hoping for best. They even couldn't leave her in this state. They wanted to help her but they didn't know what to do. But for now what they thought of doing was to wait until she wakes up.
They were patiently waiting for her to wake up. But they both flinched when the door opened taking them by shock. They politely bowed when they saw a nurse entering. She reached for them and bowed back.
"Here.. we found this on the patient's body." She said handling a necklace with a nave carved 'Evelyn'. The male caressed the word carved there and spoke. "Evelyn... it must be her name. What a lovely name!" He said smiling fondly at the girl laying down on the hospital bed unconscious. "Yea.. it is." Replied the lady.

1 Months later
The two couple entered the room of the hospital once they were informed that the girl whom they have came to be fond off within these days finally opened her eyes. They were beyond happy to know she was doing good. But what they thought was not exactly what they wished to happen.
"Who are you?" The girl said who was lying pale on the bed. The nurse beside checking her IV drip to make sure she is hydrated. They went speechless to this sudden information of her forgetting her family.. her memories.
"Are you perhaps my mom and dad? But why can't I remember you both ?" She asked eyeing the two couple who were gazing at her with love and worried plastered all over their face. They then glanced at each other and smiled before the lady said " yes dear.. we are your parents. And you are our daughter Evelyn Jones." The lady said walking towards the smiling girl and engulfing her into her arms soon joined by the male himself earning a soft chuckle from the girl.
